Fuck...
That really looks like...
No, I can't be that lucky...
——
I had already stuck gold that day.
I arrived at Heathrow in a rush. Traffic had delayed my arrival at the airport so I was pleased to get to check-in with moments to spare.
The lady behind the desk flashed a smile as she greeted me - she was in her mid thirties, everything about her was neat and tidy. Her blonde hair was scraped into an immaculate ponytail and her uniform fitted like a glove to her perfect figure.
I handed my passport over to her, and as she entered my details into the computer she nodded her head knowingly. As she was typing away on her keyboard, she asked me "Window or aisle sir?"
"I always prefer an aisle seat", I responded.
"I'm afraid economy is full sir, so I'm able to upgrade you to a business class seat today", she said.
That explained her little nod.
"Wow! Thanks very much", I exclaimed as she handed my boarding pass to me. The flight to LA is long so travelling in comfort was very welcome.
"Boarding will start shortly so I recommend you head straight to the gate", she said.
"Thank you so much!" I said as I headed to security.
Boarding commenced as soon as I reached the gate. I boarded straight away and went to my seat.
I was the first passenger to sit in the business class cabin and as I looked around I was relieved to have caught a break.
I had meetings as soon as I got to LA so the chance to relax in comfort was great. The cabin had seats which gave each other and convert into flat beds. Facing a neighbouring passenger can be a blessing or a curse depending on who they are. I remember vividly sitting next to a very cocky DJ once, who managed to soak me with red wine while he told me how great he was. How I would love to avoid someone like HIM today.
Slowly but surely the plane filled up. Most passengers headed off past me to their seats in economy, mostly looking like holidaymakers. The passengers taking business class seats slowly filled the cabin until the only empty seat was the one next to me.
Well, I thought, it's not a cocky DJ, I have even more space to myself.
Thinking the last passenger had boarded I started reading my book.
Then I felt a tap on my knee.
"Excuse me, would you mind?" a voice said. It was the voice of a young American woman.
She was asking me to make space for her to reach the window seat - the empty one next to me. I felt a moment of disappointment as I realised I'd have to give up that extra bit of space. I couldn't really complain though, I was grateful not to be wedged in economy. I moved my feet and tidied up the floor around my seat to let her past. I didn't look up as she passed me, but it was impossible not to notice her boots. They were white snakeskin, with a two inch heel, worn over her black leggings.
Well, I thought, she's got style alright, as I let her pass and went back to my book.
As she landed in her seat facing me I heard her say "Thank you so much" to me.
"No problem" I replied, as I turned the page in my book.
The plane taxied out to the runway. As we were ready to depart I put my book down in readiness for the lights to go out and the thrust to push me back in to my seat.
I glanced to my left in the direction of my younger snakeskin-booted neighbour.
'Fuck' I thought.
That really looks like...
I can't be that lucky...
The lights went out.
As I was being pushed back in to my seat I tried to process the vision I had seen next to me.
She had long brown hair. On top of her head she was wearing a pair of aviator sunglasses which pulled her hair back from her face.
She had the most beautiful brown eyes.
Between her lightly hollow cheeks was a a remarkable, naturally pouting mouth, slick and shiny with lip gloss.
She wore a white cropped loose fitting vest top, which her breasts had tented beautifully.
Her taut stomach was visible beneath her safety belt, bounded by low cut black leggings.
Around her neck she had wrapped a delicate silk scarf in a beautiful teal green.
Kendall
Kendall Jenner
Kendall
Fucking
Jenner
Sitting next to me on a plane.
Was I mistaken?
I hoped not!
The lights came back on in the cabin. My eyes readjusted to the light. I didn't want to appear to be to leery, so I picked my book up and turned to the page where i'd left off.
I stole a glance at her over the top of my book.
She was wearing earphones and scrolling on her phone - choosing some music was my guess.
My eyes were drawn back to her chest. The aircraft cooling system was working well and I could see that it has stiffened her nipples which were standing proud through her top. Kendall Jenner next to me, braless. Definitely my lucky day!
I must have held my gaze for a beat too long. She looked up and caught my eye. I hurriedly diverted my eyes back to my book.
Shit.
She's spotted me leering at her, I thought. I looked up again just as she reached over to me, and tapped me on the knee again.
She pulled one ear bud out and cocked her head to one side. Smiling at me she asked "Excuse me, do you have any water? I boarded in such a hurry and I'm parched!"
"Of course, ah, sure, yep, ah no problem", I replied, nervously. I was embarrassed at being spotted looking at her so rather than look back up at her I went straight to my bag to find my water bottle.
For a moment I wondered why she'd asked. Everyone in business class has a water bottle left on their seat. In her rush to board maybe she hadn't spotted it.
That thought was fleeing as I reached into my bag. As I went to pass the bottle to her, her hand was outstretched towards me, and I instinctively took it in mine to shake it.
"What's your name?" She asked, her head now cocked to the other side.
"Ah, er, Adam", I replied, still consumed with nerves and embarrassment.
She let go of my hand and I passed the bottle to her.
"Hello Adam, I'm Emily", she said.
I looked up at her face.
I had been such an idiot.
