I recommend reading my previous chapter before this one.

Jacob
Ava and Daniel have been dating for nine months today and they're going on a date tonight to celebrate. It should be me driving her to the best restaurant in town and buying her meal and...
The thoughts of her with Daniel come flooding through me and I feel myself get hot with rage. I've tried everything I can think of to break them up. I tried installing dating apps onto his phone, plant girl's clothes in his room and car, text him while Ava is alone with his phone saying things like "come play ;)" and I've tried doing the same with Ava's things. I don't understand why they have to be such a strong couple when he's not right for her.
I count to ten and then count again, still unable to calm myself down. Maybe I'll have to take it one step further.
I look to my right and see a woman standing on the street across from the restaurant Ava and Daniel are at. I can't tell who she's watching, but I think it's them. She looks my way and we make eye contact.
"Hey, what are you doing?" I ask her. She looks startled that I talked to her, but I move closer anyways. She takes a step back, so I stop.
"N-nothing, what are you doing?" She almost yells. A couple people look our way, confused as to why these two people are yelling at each other while so far away.
"Making sure my- friend- is doing alright on her date."
"That's a little stalker-ish, don't you think?" she laughs and takes a step forward. This is such a weird conversation, but I don't know how to get out of it without leaving. I don't want to leave them alone.
"I don't think so. I saw you staring as well, what's your excuse?"
"Well, um, my boyfriend and I are in an open relationship and he's on a date with another girl," she winces, knowing how stalker-ish that sounds compared to my excuse.
"Talk about stalking," I laugh lightly.
"What's your friend's name?"
"Um, Ava," I say, not knowing why I'm telling her the real name of the woman I love.
"I-is she with... Daniel?"
"Y-yeah... she is..." I say, "How did you know that?"
"Because Daniel is my boyfriend."
"Daniel has another girlfriend? Oh, Ava is gonna be pissed," I smile, forgetting that I have someone watching me. We're a lot closer now, only a few feet apart. It seems like we have drifted toward one another, almost magnetically.
"Why are you smiling? Oh... you like Ava!"
"N-no, I don't!" I say defensively.
"Mhm, sure. Want to make them jealous?"
"Well, we can make Daniel jealous if you'd like but I
don't
like Ava, okay?"
"Sure, um, what's your name?"
"Jacob, what's yours?" I can't seem to lie to her as easily as I normally could.
"Josephine. Come on, let's go get some dinner."

Josephine
Jacob and I walk into the restaurant and get a table close, but not too close, to the table Ava and Daniel are sitting at. Soon, though, Jacob and I are talking so much, we forget about watching them. When I remember to look back, they're gone and another couple has taken their place.
"Shit, they're gone!" I almost yell. Luckily, no one looks over at us.
"Shit, I didn't even notice. I was too busy talking to you," Jacob says. He gets a funny look on his face and I look at him concerned.
"You okay?" I ask.
"Yeah, just confused. I honestly have never been able to do this with anyone before. Not even Ava."
"What do you mean?" I lean in slightly.
"I mean, I don't get lost in conversation that I forget what I came to do. We came to watch over them, and got lost in each other."
I get up quickly, scared of the feelings I have all of a sudden.
"Um, I have to go," I grab my purse and leave him alone in the restaurant.
When I get home, I decide to do some research on this Jacob guy. I have a fake account that I follow Ava on, so I go to her Instagram and search through her pictures. I don't see any of her with Jacob until I get deeper into her Instagram. There, I see pictures of him in the background, looking at Ava like he wants to eat her. It's super creepy and I have to look away quickly. If it was one photo, it'd be weird, but not crazy. But almost every other photo of Ava in public, Jacob is there somewhere. In a reflection in a window, behind her just a yard or two, sitting down at the next table. But never next to her. Never by her side, smiling at the camera with her. There's no way they're such good friends that he watches over her AND there's no pictures of her.
I check who she's following and can't find any Jacob at all who she follows. I look for Jake and even try different spellings of Jacob, still there's no one. I try not to freak out. Hopefully I didn't spend the evening talking with Ava's stalker.
I move onto Ava's Facebook. I look at her friends and can't find any Jacob that looks anything like the Jacob that I met today.
I think Ava has a stalker...

Jacob
I shouldn't have told Josephine my real name. I should have kept the lie that I told myself I'd tell anyone who asked me who I was while I was watching Ava. Fuck.
That's when I get a notification that a 'Josephine Adams' wants to follow me on Instagram. I can't believe I was so stupid as to let ehr know who I was. Now she has my personal information. I have no idea how she was able to find me on Instagram, I guess women have their ways.
