"Watch the door!" With a grunt, he halted their advance. The enormous recliner barely fit, but after a solid 15 minutes of heavy lifting, there it sat. Plush, with a deep green back and a wooden handle handling the reclining action, it was their first joint purchase in their new apartment.
"Give me a kiss baby. We did it." She walked to him and puckered up. He took her face in his hands and kissed her deeply, still breathing slightly hard. He broke their kiss, and walked towards their kitchen. "Let me get us some water."
When he came back out, she was on the recliner. Blanket snug over her shoulders, she fake snored to cover her smile. He laughed, then set his water down on their coffee table. Approaching her, he spoke.
"Must be a comfortable recliner if my love fell asleep so quickly.. I would so hate to wake her. But.." He moved gently to her side, admiring her beautiful curly hair and smooth skin. "I would also so hate to not kiss her. I'll have to be so gentle." With a slight wriggle and even slighter smile, she presented her cheek to him. He kissed her hair, her temple, her cheek, and then moved to her neck. He could feel her heart beat faster under his lips, and smiled against her neck.
