Or don't, I ain't your mum - live on the wild side!
Part 2
Beth woke up at around 10am the next morning - thanks goodness it was Saturday. She never understood why people said "Happy Friday" as most people still went to work. Saturday's are infinitely better.
Derek's girlfriend Mathilda crashed round last night. Beth and Mathilda got on like a house on fire but fuck, was she loud in the bedroom. Proper guttural shrieks through the wall - like Pazuzu was joining in. Sometimes Beth could hear Derek which would make her bits heal over. Beth had definitely earned her lie-in due to the shit night's sleep, so she treated herself to The Lost Boys on DVD and a DIY session as her lovely David got her in the mood.
Beth and Derek had lived together for nearly 8 years since their folks split up and their mum fucked off to the States to live with some random dude she met online. They got on pretty well all but were fast approaching the point where they needed their own space. Derek was a good older brother - he always had her back. Like all older sibling though, he did think he knew best. All. The. Fucking. Time.
And his farts were grim. He'd often knock on her bedroom door, open it a smidge so his bare arse-crack could poke in and let out a foul trump. Bastard.
"Ahahahaha! You really covered him in milkshake?"
"And coke."
The three of them were hanging out in the kitchen after Beth dragged herself out of bed.
"And he still gave you his number?" chuckled Derek thickly through a mouthful of toast. "He must be desperate!"
Mathilda piped in. "Fuck off Derek! Like you were so smooth when we first met. Sneaking your number into my pocket on the bus, then running off like a little bitch when I caught you red handed."
Beth and Mathilda both cackled.
"You weren't complaining last night!" Derek pointed out.
"What can I say, I'm glad I took pity on you." said Mathilda with a cheeky wink. "Where's he taking you tonight then Beth?"
"The Black Cauldron." replied Beth, still giggling. "Nice and chilled for a first date. Then he's treating me to a Maccies. I may have to marry this one."
The day continued with laughter, piss taking, anime on the telly and a spot of gaming. Beth ruled supreme on Timesplitters 2. Derek and Mathilda left in the early evening to go to the cinema ("Let me know if he's dodgy with you sis and I'll have the twat!") leaving Beth to get ready. She was nervous, but in a good way. She put on jeans and a Dr Who T-Shirt and left for the pub.
The rain had passed and it was mercifully mild that evening. Beth arrived at the pub, took a deep breath and opened the heavy doors. It was a typical alternative British pub - wooden trim everywhere, the smell of stale beer hung in the air and decent rock music playing. It was pretty busy but Beth had no problem spotting Godfrey at a table in the corner. He grinned and stood to greet her when he saw her.
"Hey Beth!" stammered Godfrey. She was relieved to see he was nervous too, but he was confident enough to give her a kiss on the cheek. Beth blushed.
"I love your T-shirt!"
Beth's Dr Who T-Shirt was one of those random but awesome bootleg ones from Camden Market, showing a pictorial equation of the Tardis + Sonic Screwdriver = Hat & Stripey Scarf.
"The Dalek's scared the shit out of me when I was a kid." confessed Godfrey.
"Pansy!" smiled Beth. "It's the Weeping Angels that get under my skin."
Godfrey insisted that Beth take a seat while he got her a drink. He thought he'd hit the jackpot when she ordered the same ale as him (Bishop's Finger for the win!) and the night was full of similar revelations.
They both loved McDonald's but hated gherkins, adored shoot em ups and RPGs, and loved schlokey 80s movies. Both a bit pissed, they left the pub and stumbled to McDonald's.
"That was awesome of you to speak to the manager to get those free drinks yesterday. I hate making complaints like that. It was my fault for the mess anyway."
They'd finished their McDonald's and Godfrey had walked Beth to the end of her road.
"No problem, they took so long serving everyone, I felt compelled to make a teeny bit of a scene. I secretly love complaining!" laughed Godfrey, slightly swaying.
"As long as you're polite and are careful with people preparing your food." Beth replied, with a look of mock concern on her face.
"Always." said Godfrey. She could tell he was plucking up the courage to make a move. He reached up and brushed her hair behind an ear, and leaned in slowly, just in case she backed off. Beth smiled at his consideration, grabbed his belt and pulled him in.
They kissed - the perfect amount of tongue and they could both taste the McDonald's on eachother, which made them both giggle mid kiss.
"Mmmmm." Beth couldn't help herself.
Beth and Godfrey were naked, standing in the dark, kissing enthusiastically. Beth felt Godfrey's hands cupping her breasts and thumbing her nipples. He then ran his hands down her sides and across her butt. She fell back with him on top of her and landed in something soft, sticky and warm. She wrapped her legs around his waste and noticed melted cheese stretching from her calves.
