It's been a long rough week but Hudson finally gets a chance to unwind with his friend who's a girl. He hopes he can maybe make some moves tonight to get her to notice him more than a friend. He has liked her for a long time ever since they went to that party and she went up and danced on the stage. Even though they have hooked up in the past with a condom to be safe. It was nothing more than that. He has been nervous about telling her his true feelings. It's difficult because everything she does just gets him flustered. Like the time when she was just being playful with him and jumped on his lap as they were fighting for the remote. He remembers everything she had on at that moment. She had on some leggings that really fit her body well, along with the sweater he bought her on her birthday. Her hair was in a messy bun that was always bouncing around just like her energetic personality. He always felt like he could be himself around her and not be judged like many others have before. That's why he was always scared to make a move. He didn't wanna mess up such an amazing friendship. Tonight, that was going to change., He was finally going to try to get their friendship to the next level.
He decided what he was going to wear the night before and had an outfit picked out in his closet. There is a light brown sweater, a white shirt that fits his figure well, with a pair of blue jeans, and a pair of white Nikes to tie it all together. After a quick shower. He puts it all together, and after a quick look in the mirror to make sure his hair is good before leaving out the door to go pick up Kylie. As he is driving over he can already feel his nerves acting up. His mind racing with all the scenarios filling up his head, about all the things that could go wrong. He stops at a red light and Kylie's place is just around the corner. He takes a deep breath and pulls himself together before arriving at her place.
He messages her "I'm here outside."
She relays "Okie I will be out in just a moment."
He waits outside for a few minutes and she gets out the door. He looks out his window seeing her wearing ripped jeans, new gym shoes she just bought, a black tank top with a white cardigan over top. As she turns to lock the door he notices her curly hair fly over her shoulder onto her other. She skips down her sidewalk and gets into the passenger door and flops onto the seat.
She looks over at him and says. "Sorry for taking a bit longer than I expected, but damn you look good Hudson. Are you trying to take someone home tonight for something?"
He chuckles as he replies. "Who knows, maybe I am." As he looks away trying to hide that he is blushing. "Anyway, do you know where we want to go tonight?"
She replies. "How about that new bar that just opened up across town, I hear it's actually pretty good."
He smiles replying. "I have been wanting to try out that place for a bit. Well let's get going then."
They both set off towards the bar listening to music, and chat about how our week has been. A few minutes into the drive Kylie gets a phone call. Turning down the music she answers it.
"Hey, what are you up to? Oh no I'm sorry to hear that. I'm out right now with my friend Hudson. Oh yeah I can ask him for you and see what he says."
She turns over to you with phone in hand and asks. "Do you think we could pick up and hang out with my friend Maria also? Her date skipped out on her."
He thinks for a moment. "Yes, that should be fine."
She lets out a little squill. As she answers on the phone "He says he will come get you as well. Send me your location and I will send it to him."
She hangs up the phone and gets the location before sending it to him. As he gets the notification he lets out a slight sigh as realizing his plans for the night have gone down the drain.
Kylie notices that and gives him a hug with a kiss on the cheek saying "thank you."
Trying to hide the redness in his face "it's no big deal if she is a friend of yours is a friend of mine. Let's just make sure we all have a good night tonight."
She nods in agreement as they begin to drive down to the location while blasting the music again to pick up Maria. Getting to the location Kylie texts Maria that they are here. Hudson looks out the window trying to find the girl they are picking up. He notices that a girl comes out of a diner with straight hair wearing a tight navy blue shirt with black leggings and matching vans. Kylie waves her. Maria waves back, starts walking over, and gets in the back seat.
Kylie reaches around the seat to give Maria a hung saying. "It's good to see you again. I wish it was in better circumstances though. Sorry to hear about your date."
Hugging Kylie back she replies. "It's good to see you girl, it's been too long. There's no reason to be sorry it's probably for the better. Besides I should be apologizing to you both for intruding on your night."
Both Kylie and Hudson reply. "It's no big deal, you're not intruding on anything."
Kylie then says. "I guess introductions are in order. Hudson, this is Maria, one of my friends. Maria, this is Hudson, my guy best friend I've been telling you about."
Hudson reaches out his hand saying. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
Maria grabbing his hand replies. "Right back at you."
After introductions are done Kylie explains to Maria where they are planning to go. She then nods in agreement with Kylie and all three of them start on their way.
They arrive at the bar, park that car and get out. The girls basically jump out of their shoes with how excited they are, but Hudson can't help but to look at Kylie and how gorgeous she looks. He just loves how bubbly her personality is and how she can make people smile without any effort at all. He gets pulled back into reality as both girls grab his hand to hurry him into the bar.
"Oh come on girls what's the rush it's not like the bar is going anywhere." Hudson says with a giggle.
"We are just excited to see something new in town." Kylie replies.
As they enter the bar they look around and see that there's an old western style bar on the left, and a bunch of tables using wooden cable drums as their legs. Maria points out at the back of the bar that there is a stage with a karaoke set up on the side. Hudson sees how excited they are as they once again pull on him and bring him to a table to sit down. The waitress comes over to them and hands them the drink and food menu.
Introducing herself she says "Hi, welcome my name is Lisa. I will be your waitress tonight. Let me tell you about the specials tonight before I take your guys orders. Tonight for drinks we have, buy one drink and get another 50% off. For food we got a ribeye steak with your choice of sides. Along with that we have pulled pork nachos."
Hudson then askes "can we get a few minutes to decide what we would like."
Lisa nods and walks aways letting the three of them discuss their options.
Kylie starts by saying "Well how about we all get our own drinks that way we get the buy one get one 50% off deal and then order the nachos. That way we can all have a decent drink and get something to eat together. Both Hudson and Mria say yes in agreement. They continue to talk amongst themselves, laughing and having a good time before the waitress comes back ready to take their order.
With notepad in hand Lisa says. "Alright, are you guys ready to order?"
They all say "Yes we are."
Looking at Hudson she says "alright sir what can I get for you tonight?"
With the menu in hand he replies. "I would like to just have a rum and coke please and thank you."
Writing that down Lisa then, looking over to Maria askes "What about you."
Maria replies. "I will have a whiskey sour thank you."
After Writing that down she looks over to Kylie asking. "What would you like to drink?"
Kylie looking at the menu says "I would like to try a Mint Julep."
"Alright, will that be everything for now?" Lisa asks.
Hudson speaks up and says. "Can we also get a large plate of the pulled pork nachos?"
Lisa replies. "I can definitely get that for you guys. It will be a few minutes on the food but I will go grab your drinks right away."
All three of them say thank you in agreement before going back to their conversation.
"So who was this guy that was supposed to meet up with you tonight?" Kylie askes.
"Oh, just a guy I met on tinder," she replies. showing Kylie and Hudson the picture of the guy.
"Well I think you dodged a bullet on that. If a guy decides to waste your time now, how could you trust him in the future?" Klyle declared with enthusiasm.
Hudson comments. "You're right Kylie. If a guy just doesn't show up, or shows any interest then he is definitely not worth your time."
"I can agree on that. What about you? How's your love life going?" Meira enthusiastically askes Hudson.
"Well to be honest I haven't really been in the dating pool. I mean I may have had a hookup or under circumstances." Hudson shoots his eyes over at Kylie as she looks aways. In slight embarrassment. "Other than that I haven't really been dating." Hudson explained.
