Good day readers!
I would like to thank everyone who has voted or commented on the previous parts of the story. I'm glad that you like it so far, and I hope that you will like this part as much.
I've actually been able to get a lot more writing done than I figured I would be able to with starting a new job, and that is a good thing for all of us. I'm hoping to keep each part about this long (2 chapters ~6000 words).
Please continue to vote and comment. Comments, positive or negative, though I do ask to be kept respectful.
This is a complete work of fiction, and all parties engaging in sexual activity are over the age of 18.
Any characters resembling real persons is a coincidence, as again this is a complete work of fiction.
Enjoy!

After spending the Saturday morning doing my normal chores, mowing the lawn, chasing Ava, trimming the hedges, chasing Ava, and plucking the weeds from the garden. Oh, and chasing Ava. I had a quick shower and made my way to the bar to meet my lead-hand worker, Jimmy, for lunch. Something I was not particularly looking forward to.
Jimmy sent a text the night before that he spotted my family at the park the day before. Normally this would not be something to be concerned about. Except my family is not what one might call conventional.
After my wife, parents and in-laws were killed in an accident, my younger sister, Emily, and I became close. So close, we became lovers. I proposed, and she accepted. Of course, we can't get married legally, but we have been living as man and wife, and she has filled the role of mother for my daughter Ava.
At the park, we were out as a family, and Emily and I acted like a man and his wife might. Certainly not as a brother and sister would have. This is what Jimmy saw, and he knew our actual relationship. This is what he wanted to talk about, and why I was not looking forward to lunch at our favourite bar.
I climbed out of my truck and wandered into the dimly lit establishment. I could see Jimmy sitting in our booth, with a water in front of him. I didn't know what to make of that. I don't recall a time when we went to the bar and didn't start in on the beer, or something even stronger.
I waved to him and went to the bar. I ordered two rounds and brought them to the booth. I passed him one, as I took my seat.
"Thanks, Chris," Jimmy said with a neutral expression, looking down at the mug.
I smiled. "Any time. Have you ordered anything to eat yet?"
Jimmy smiled, and looked up at me, shaking his head. "Not yet. I didn't want to get anything until after we talked."
I sighed, nodding. I took a sip of my beer. "I get it. I'm guessing you have questions--" I let my statement hang.
Jimmy nodded but didn't say anything. He took a long pull on his drink. I waited patiently for him to work at whatever he wanted to ask. Finally, he sighed. Looking me straight in the eyes he asked, "What is going on between you and Emily?"
I knew this wasn't a laughing matter, but I couldn't help but smile. "Jimmy, I promise I will answer your question to your satisfaction, but let me ask you a question first. What did you see at the park that brought this on?"
He sighed, "Jen and I were out for a walk. I spotted Ava on the playground. It's hard to miss her flaming red hair--" We both smiled at his description. "--I looked around and spotted you. You had your arms around a woman, holding her close, kissing her. At first, I thought 'hey. I'm glad he's found, someone.' But then you two pulled apart. It's hard to mistake Emily. And the way you were kissing was certainly not the way a brother kisses his sister. So, I ask again, what is going on between you and Emily?"
As he restated the question, his tone showed his anger. I raised my hands to try to ease the situation. "The short, yet complete, answer is that Emily is my fiancΓ©, and is carrying my child." I paused briefly watching Jimmy's face for any outward signs of aggression or imminent threat. Seeing none, I continued, "The longer answer, which likely will answer the follow-up of how or why, is this. After the accident, Emily and I adjusted to living together. We took on the various roles and chores needed in the house. I didn't notice it at the time, but we were living like what Sarah and I were living before the accident."
I took a drink before continuing. "Sarah and I were planning on taking a vacation after our parents got home, and I promised to send Emily and some friends somewhere too after she graduated. Well, when she did graduate, neither of us wanted her to travel. So, instead, I took her out on a date."
Jimmy's eyebrow raised, at my comment. I could see he was about to say something, so I raised my hands to forestall his actions. "I intended to just show her a good time. We went to dinner, and then she wanted to go dancing. My intentions and actions were completely platonic. Emily's though, not so much."
Before I could continue, the waitress came over and interrupted us, "Hey boys. Care for anything?"
I looked questioningly at Jimmy. He nodded and replied, "Alright. Let's get something to eat. I'll have the club sandwich, fries, and another beer."
I took his ordering food as a good sign. I gave her my order, and when she left continued my story. "Where was I? Oh yeah. So, I'm not big on dancing, but Emily pulled me out onto the dance floor. I'd had a few drinks, and was loose. Then this one song came on, and Emily-- I don't know-- changed. It was as though she were a tiger, and I was her intended prey. I was completely captivated by her, and she danced with me in a way that Sarah had never even done. Her dancing kept me hard most of the night."
When I said that last sentence, Jimmy shook his head. I nodded my agreement. "I know. I didn't understand it either. Soon we left and headed for home. Emily drove because I'd been drinking. She rested her hand on my lap and kept me hard on the way home. Skipping a bit, we watched a movie and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning, Emily was snuggled up with me. I felt confused as to why my sister was in bed with me. I knew I'd been drinking, but I didn't think I'd had enough to be forgetting anything. We talked. She explained how she felt. How she wanted to be my wife. I agreed to think about what she said."
I stopped talking, thinking back to my reflections. Jimmy sat silently watching me. That was how the waitress found us when she delivered our food. "Anything else boys?" she smiled.
I returned her smile. "Not for now. Thank you."
"Enjoy."
We both took a bite of our meals. When Jimmy swallowed he prompted, "So you thought about it?"
I nodded my agreement. "I did literally nothing else that day. I sat on my ass and thought. As I said, Emily and I had been living just like Sarah and I were before, with one notable exception. She wasn't sharing my bed. And Emily claimed to want to be my wife, and raise Ava with me. I thought about how I felt, and how I feel about Emily. I came to the inescapable conclusion; I love her. She is a beautiful woman, and we have many likes and interests in common. And if Sarah can't help me raise Ava, Emily is the next best person to do so. So, the next day we talked more. I found out why she would want me. Why she would want someone older. And she told me. So I proposed. She accepted. And we became intimate."
We finished our meal in silence. I gave Jimmy the time he needed to digest everything.
Finally, we sat our plates aside. Jimmy looked up and asked, "So, you proposed to your sister. She accepted, and you've been having sex, and living like a married couple. And now she's pregnant. Yes?"
I nodded my assent.
Jimmy sighed and shook his head as he sat back. "What do you think your mom and dad would say about their children fucking,
hmm
?"
I took a drink as I decided how I would respond. "If my parents were alive to have an opinion, then we wouldn't be in the situation we're in now, so it is a moot point. However, I would like to think they would want Emily and I to be happy, and find love wherever we can."
Jimmy nodded his head, "All right, I'll concede the point. There's no point in trying to guess what the opinion might be of someone who can't share it one way or the other." He sighed again, before taking a long pull on his beer.
When his mug met the table again, he looked me in the eyes again. "Chris, I don't have to like the situation. And I don't, it's not natural. But out of respect for your father, and our friendship, I won't stand in the way of your relationship, despite the illegality and immorality of it. I'm even going to give you a piece of advice. Leave. If I can spot you and figure it out, others can too. Others might not have the same relationship we do."
I nodded my agreement. "Yesterday, you said you didn't want to be the boss. You have the knowledge and expertise. How about I sell you the business for a dollar? It's yours free and clear. I walk away."
Jimmy looked away. He stared out into the rest of the dim bar.
"If you take the business you'll never lack for work. You and dad made sure the business has a good name."
Jimmy looked back, and his face looked grim. "I don't want the business--"
"But you want Emily and I to leave. It's hard to have my twenty workers pick up and leave with me. The business is here. I can start another wherever we may go. Hell, it isn't like money is an issue for me anymore anyway. I don't want to lay off everyone. That isn't fair to them."
Jimmy nodded his agreement but looked away again. When he turned back, he asked, "You don't have any work lined up until the Monday after next right? Okay. This week, you and I will go over all the books. I'll get the details for all the jobs lined up, and we'll talk to a lawyer about the sale."
I nodded my agreement. "Listen, how about we meet on Tuesday. We can be there when the inspector does their thing on that last job, then we'll start going over everything afterwards. That way we still both get a long weekend. I know Emily and Ava were looking forward to it."
Jimmy smiled, "Okay. Deal. Jen liked the idea of some extra time too."
I glanced at my watch, and it was already the middle of the afternoon. "I gotta go. Are we good?"
Jimmy nodded and smiled. He stuck out his hand and we shook. "I may not like it, but that doesn't mean I don't like you and Emily."
I returned his smile. "Thank you. And say hi to Jen for me."

I opened the door and the delicious smells of baking hit me. I wandered into the kitchen and was greeted by the sight of Emily with Ava standing on a chair both covered in flour. Cookies cooled on every flat surface available. They were working at putting the last of their cookie dough onto a baking sheet.
Emily spotted me first. "Hey Love, how was lunch?"
As soon as she spoke Ava looked up. A huge smile crossed her face. "Daddy!" She would have jumped down were it not for Emily's quick hand holding her in place.
