Jack was twenty when his grandfather died; he was in his third year of University studying law. His grandfather's death had been a great shock to his mum and her two sisters, Aunt Jo and Aunt May; he had been so active right up to the day that he died. Aunt Jo, who was an accountant, she worked with grandpa in his many different businesses. He had died at the beginning of July; Jack was on holiday from University, he also worked during his holidays in the main office of grandpa's business, Jack loved the diversity of his companies but had felt that a restructuring of the company was long overdue.
Jack had often discussed the many facets of his business with his grandpa. His grandpa had always acknowledged that this needed to be done, but because of his regard for the workforce in these businesses, he was not the man to do it. After the funeral Jack had spent time with his Aunt Jo, she agreed with Jack, several of the businesses needed to be sold, some of the smaller properties required to be sold.
Much of grandpa's business was done through Jersey in the Channel Islands; it was an offshore tax haven, Aunt Jo had suggested to Jack that they should fly to Jersey and spend some time there going through the accounts of grandpa's companies which were based there. Aunt Jo had allocated two weeks for this trip, she had made the hotel reservation, but because it was in the height of tourist season she had only been able to reserve one room, they had to share the bedroom. This wasn't a problem for Jack; when he was younger, he had often been on holiday with Aunt Jo and shared a bedroom.
They arrived in St Helier, which is the capital of Jersey, the hotel was magnificent, their room had an outstanding sea view with its balcony, the only problem, though Jack didn't say a word, was that the bed was a king-size double. They had arrived on a Sunday evening; their first appointment was on Monday with George, who managed grandpa's Jersey office, he was also an accountant.
After dinner they went for a walk around the marina, the yachts and boats berthed there were impressive. They returned to the hotel; they sat on the balcony enjoying the late evening sunshine and the beautiful sea view. Aunt Jo suggested a glass of wine and ordered a bottle of Chablis. Aunt Jo said as they were sipping the wine, "Dad, knew that we had to make changes, but he didn't want to make them, he was ruthless in business but had a loyalty to his workers. Jack, you've got to help me with some of the tough decisions that we've got to make, in so many ways, so many of our companies are so disjointed. We have so many small properties which stand-alone, we also have so many town centres which stand alone and are so profitable; this is going to be a tough two weeks. May and Dot don't take any interest in the day to day running of the companies, it's all down to me, Jack, you have an astute brain, I will appreciate any input that you can give me, let's get to bed, do you want to use the bathroom first or would you prefer me to go first?"
Jack replied, "It is always ladies first with me."
Aunt Jo finished her glass then went to the bathroom; she warned Jack that she removed all her face make up before she went to bed so her facial pores could breathe freely as she slept and not be surprised to see her with no makeup. There was still a glass of wine left in the bottle; Jack filled his glass.
Jack sat thinking what would be the best for the business; he thought that tomorrow George would probably be able to give some insight into what the best way forward would be. Jack heard Aunt Jo coming out of the bathroom then heard her say, "The bathroom is free now, our first meeting is at nine, we should have breakfast at eight, should I call reception and ask for an alarm call at seven?"
Jack brought the empty wine glasses and empty bottle and wine cooler in from the balcony; he left them on a tray outside the room door. Jack said, "I can set the alarm on my smartphone, that will allow us to have a snooze if we want it?"
Aunt Jo replied, "Yes, please do that, I don't like to rush in the morning, if I'm up early then I will shower first and clear the bathroom for you, my make up application takes a bit of time."
Jack went into the bathroom; he washed his hands and cleaned his teeth. He came out of the bathroom, Aunt Jo was lying on the right-hand side of the bed, she was lying facing the left-hand side, her bedside lamp was out, Jack's was still on, Jack left his smartphone on the bedside table and switched off the light, he lay in bed facing Aunt Jo. A couple of minutes later Aunt Jo said, "Jack, I'm wearing a new perfume that I bought at the airport. I am not sure about it, do you like it?"
Jack leaned forward, he inhaled a couple of times deeply then said, "Aunt Jo, to be honest, I preferred the one you were wearing in the car when we drove to the airport, you smelt so good then."
Aunt Jo then surprised Jack, she got out of the bed, switched on the light, she was naked, her voluptuous body looked gorgeous, she found her old perfume in her handbag then applied a couple of squirts then came back to bed, Aunt Jo asked, "Is that better?"
