It's around 2am in the morning when Sarah suddenly awakens from her sleep. At first she's disoriented and doesn't know what has woken her, but after a moment or so her mind clears a little more and she realises it's raining outside.
Suddenly light flashes and almost instantly she hears the loud thunder.
"That must be what woke me up," Sarah wonders as she places her feet on the carpet floor. She decides she might go to the toilet before trying to get back to sleep.
As she wonders past her window she peers outside. That's when she notices the treehouse out the back of her house.
Her and her brother used to play in that treehouse almost every day when they were younger. It was perched above the house, maybe two stories high. Their father Greg had constructed it when Sarah was 5 and her brother Kyle was 7. Being a builder by trade, it was a grand structure. Easily the size of a standard bedroom and very sturdy even in strong winds.
Now that the two siblings were older, they'd both grown out of it. Greg having spent many hours on the build wasn't going to take it down any time soon. He felt when his kids were old enough to start a family of their own, his grandchildren might enjoy it.
Tonight however, the treehouse appeared to be occupied. It was hard to tell with the rain hitting her window, but it looked like there was a faint glow of light coming through the treehouses Perspex windows...
"What on earth?" Sarah whispered groggily, still half asleep.
She decided to wake Kyle and see if he too could see the glow.
Sarah approached his door and lightly knocked, not wanting to wake her parents too.
"Kyle.... Kyle?" She hissed.
No response.
She quietly turned the handle and crept into his room. It was dark so she walked over to his bed to gently shake him awake.
"Ky..." she didn't finish her words as her hand met empty blanket. He wasn't in bed.
"What the...." Sarah wondered to herself.
She stood there for a few moments thinking.
"Maybe he's taking a trip down memory lane?" She shrugged to herself.
Sarah decided to go grab some water from the kitchen first before using the toilet and going back to bed. As she crept around the dark house her mind just couldn't let go of what Kyle was doing in their old treehouse at such a late hour no less.
Curiosity got the better of her as she diverted past the kitchen and silently opened the back door and ventured outside.
The rain had eased off to barely a light sprinkle so Sara was able to slip her shoes on and hurry over to the ladder heading up to the trapdoor that was the entrance to the treehouse.
As she approached the tree however, it began to rain even heavier than before and she instantly regretted foregoing the option of taking an umbrella with her...
Now at the base of the tree, she looked back to the house. The rain was coming in sideways and she was starting to get wet. Her only two options were to eithor run back to the house and get drenched, or ascend the ladder to at least get closer to the floor of the treehouse and more cover.
She chose the latter as she hurriedly climbed the tree. She got to the trapdoor and hesitated.
A thought sprung into her head suddenly. "What if it isn't Kyle up here?" She said in her head.
"Surely it's him... Who else would it be?" She wondered.
Her hand started to shake a little as she reached for the trapdoor handle. She turned it and slowly pushed it open...
The treehouse was setup like a miniature studio apartment. Childish albeit with more colours and toys than you'd see in a real apartment, but similar. A little kitchenette with pretend taps and cooking equipment lined one wall, and a small bed frame and mattress lined the other wall with a little table and chairs in between. There was a Perspex window on each of the four walls that Sarah and Kyle begged their father to make openable when they were kids. The response was of course a solid "No kids. Openable windows at that height is an accident waiting to happen!"
This never made sense to them seeing as they had to climb the ladder to almost the height the windows would be but to this day, the windows remained sealed and inoperable.
As Sarah poked her head through the gap she'd made with the trapdoor, her fear of the unknown was instantly replaced by relief.
Then shortly after, amusement!
What she saw was her brother Kyle sitting on the bed that was way too small for him now, with his phone in one hand and his cock in the other, furiously stroking it!
Sarah couldn't quite make out what was on the screen of the phone from this angle, but she knew instantly that this was what she could see from her bedroom window as it was the only light in the treehouse, casting a faint glow along the inner walls of the small room.
Kyle, being totally enthralled with what was on his phone screen, didn't realise that he was no longer alone. His eyes were partially blinded by the backlight of his phone, and the absence of light anywhere else. Plus the storm outside was loud.
It was a good 30 seconds in fact before Kyle suddenly noticed what felt like a breeze.
Being roughly 2am, he wasn't exactly expecting visitors and assumed initially that it was just his senses playing tricks on him. He angled the phone away from his face to look around the room when, to his horror, he spotted Sarah's face level with the floor.
Instantly he panicked and pressed the lock button his phone. The whole treeshouse inside went dark, but for the occasional flashes of lightning from outside.
Sarah had watched Kyle for that brief 30 seconds with amusement on her face. When he held the phone screen up to illuminate the room, she spotted what was clearly porn. Pinkish skin with nipples and a flash of a cock on the screen before quickly being shut off.
Sarah snorted from the trapdoor.
"Ah... Kyle..." she chuckled as she hoisted herself into the treehouse and shut the door behind her. "Next time you need a torch, maybe you should try using something a little less.... Hmmm how do I put this... erotic?" She burst out laughing in the dark.
"Fucksake...." Kyle mumbled to himself, dejected and embarrassed as he stuffed himself back into his underpants and pulled his trousers up. "What the hell are you doing up here Sarah???"
"Ah, what am I doing??" She blurted back, astonished. "Is that really the question here?? What are you doing in a treehouse in a freaking STORM when you have a perfectly good bedroom in our house!"
Suddenly there was a burst of light and an immediate loud CRACK of thunder that made both of them jump.
It was dark, but their eyes had both adjusted just enough to be able to see each other.
Sarahs eyes met Kyle's and after a few moments, they both burst out in laughter.
It wasn't exactly the first time he'd been caught red handed like this. Sarah had walked into his room on multiple occasions lately and found him pumping away.
Each time had resulted in an angry "why can't you KNOCK???" Or a "I can't even get privacy in my OWN room!!"
This was the first time they'd laughed. The first time they had both laughed, instead of just Sarah snickering to herself...
Once they'd both settled down they were both quiet for a moment til Sarah broke the silence.
"Seriously though, what's the deal? Why up here?" She asked.
