Curiosity sometimes didn't kill the Cat. Instead, it led to a much worse outcome. Or was it really a worse outcome?
In this submission, Cat's curiosity and rampant use of her superpower urged her to uncover her uncle's long-time secret behind a mysterious door. But when she saw what the secret was, she couldn't help but be surprised, embarrassed, and...Intrigued? Yet, before she could explore more, her uncle arrived unexpectedly, which led to a shocking encounter between the uncle and niece.
What would Cat do? To what extent would she do just to not be caught? And, would she keep her uncle's secret as well as that secret encounter between the two?

Hi everyone! Welcome to my sixth submission!
Long time, no see! It feels like a really, really long time since my last submission. How are you? Me? I'm fine and busy with work.
I've been reading your comments though, and I agree that I'm still lacking in my verb tenses. Maybe, I should get an editor? Will you recommend someone good and nice? Also, can you help point out my weaknesses, such as inconsistencies, grammatical errors, plot holes, etc.? Just put them in the comments below. Appreciate your help! And now for the thanks:

Superpower
Substitution Fucked the Cat
(TMI One-Shots)
Wearing your favorite white tee and blue jeans, you sat at a secluded corner of the most popular coffee shop in the city. The bitter scent of coffee and the sweet smell of desserts wafting in the air loosened your tired body. Slowly, the stress you'd accumulated throughout the week melted away like ice in summer. Along with the low hum of nearby conversations and the soft music drifting from the hidden speakers, you knew your latte and cheese cake would taste particularly divine today.
Slouching against your seat, you took a sip of your coffee. The bitterness spread throughout your palate, a pleasant contrast to the beverage's subtle nutty undertones. And when you followed it up with a bite of the cheese cake, the blend of sweet and bitter made your taste buds dance in joy. You couldn't help closing your eyes and savoring every bit of it.
'
Ah, is this heaven?
'
You couldn't avoid this thought every time you indulged yourself in that coffee shop. At any rate, the experience had never turned stale.
You swallowed. When you decided to have another bite, a voluptuous lady barged into your happy space from out of nowhere. She suddenly sat at your table, on the vacant seat next to yours, without asking. Her long blonde hair sparkled under the lights when she moved, and her eyes were strikingly blue. A frown tugged at your lips when you noticed her discourtesy.
'
How rude! Do good-looking girls have no manners nowadays? Can't she see someone's already occupying this table?
'
To your surprise, that was not the end of it. She even scooted closer. Your elbows were almost touching, a gross violation of your private space!
'
Ah, come on. What the heck is this?
'
In this world of supers, her action was tantamount to a blatant provocation.
Loudly, and with undisguised annoyance, you cleared your throat. You fixed the gorgeous specimen of femininity with a pointed stare, demanding her to give you appropriate space. However, the woman refused to take notice. Instead, she leaned close to you, giving you a glimpse of the shadow between her sizable peaks, and whispered to your ear.
"I have something to share." Her breath tickled your ear.
Shivers ran down your spine. Before you could lean away though, her next words froze you on your seat.
"I had sex with my uncle."

Her name was Catherine, Cat to her friends and family, and she got a superpower.
If she willed it, Cat could steal a thing's identity and be perceived by everyone as that thing. Whether in looks, scent, or feel, she was no different from the original. As long as she didn't act too outrageously from the identity she stole, no one would see through it. This led her to the habit of sneaking into off-limit places.
Once, as an experiment, Cat snuck into the backseat of her teacher's car and stole the identity of the briefcase he placed there. The forty-year-old educator remained oblivious to his student's reflection, clear as day in the rear-view mirror. He just started the car and drove for twenty minutes, while she went along for the ride. In the front of a produce store, Cat took the chance to get out. Her teacher, on the other hand, bought something for dinner inside.
Since then, she slipped in and out of any place that intrigued her without holding back--the offices of her school's faculty, a famous local mall, and even the inside of the local police station. Unbeknownst to her, too much curiosity would soon put her in a difficult situation, and that incident happened to occur at her Uncle Troy's house a month after her eighteenth birthday.
After school, in the family car...
Cat slumped against the backrest of the passenger seat. The foil of the sandwich in her hand crinkled in her grip as she moved. "Dad, where are we going?" Cat asked when she noticed the unfamiliar street outside the vehicle.
A day of nothing but tests made the teenager tired and listless. Even now, the rustle of test papers and the swish of pens still haunted her. The motivation to bite into her sandwich waned a lot. Missing her trip to the nearest hospital, she felt her day was wasted.
Today, her target was supposed to be the nearest hospital's operating room. She'd seen a documentary about doctors operating on patients posted online, and she was curious to witness what it's like in person. But because of the sudden school work, she couldn't do it. Glancing at the orange sky above, she knew it was too late to do it today.
She sighed.
'
Should I move it tomorrow instead?
'
She was unsure. The surprise tests wouldn't happen two days in a row, right?
Across the street, while their car slowed down at a red light, Cat caught sight of a shop selling household appliances. Various brands of TV's were displayed in the clear window overlooking the street. Each of them were turned on and tuned into a news channel. Inadvertently, Cat read the subtitle running at the bottom edge.
'...The number of cases involving people with supernatural power is increasing nationwide. The authorities warn the public to be vigilant and prioritize their safety. Please report any suspicious activity you may encounter at...'
"To your Uncle Troy's house," her dad finally replied. "I have to collect his payment for the last month's shenanigans."
