This is the final part, (the climax?) of this series. Thank you to everyone who has read the other episodes and 'liked' them. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who has left a comment. If you're simply a reader here, (and I was, for years,) then you might not realise how valued your comments are; but they really are hugely important. So please comment; I love to read them.
I hope you enjoy this fifth and final part of Cath and Jenny's story.
"Look, Cath; I know we've had our differences but Jenny seems to have blossomed so much in her year with you; so I just wanted to come and spend a few days with you both and to thank you. You didn't have to take her in and I realise now what a big commitment it was; well, still is; so, what do you think?" Cath was doing that comedic thing of holding the phone away from her ear and mouthing 'Oh My God' at no one in particular.
"Cheryl, we'd love to have you stay, honestly. There's only two beds and mine is the biggest so you'll have to share with your big sister, I'm afraid," Cath said.
"That's fine, love," Cheryl replied, "I mean; you don't bite, do you?" Cheryl laughed at her joke. Cath mouthed to her imaginary audience, 'Well, not on the first date, no.'
"That's settled then," Cath said, "Send me some dates for a Friday, Saturday stay and I'll get back to you."
"Will do. Bye Cath, bye." Cheryl ended the call and looked at herself in her bedroom mirror. It had taken her weeks to drum up the courage to make that call and she was really proud of herself that she had finally done it.
In her kitchen, Cath put down her phone and said out loud,
"Well, bugger me."
"Your Mum wants to come and stay for a weekend," Cath said over her shoulder as she was cooking. Jenny was sitting at the kitchen table scrolling through her phone.
"Wow!" Jenny said, "That must have been an interesting call?" Cath laughed,
"To be honest, I really felt for her. I know how much she regrets what she said; and did; so it must have taken a lot of courage to ring her big sister like that. So; what do you think?" Cath asked.
"Where will she sleep?" Jenny asked.
"With me, love. Don't worry; it'll just be for two nights and it'll be fun. We can show her the sights, have breakfast at Frankie's and drink loads of wine; how's that?" Cath asked.
Jenny had got up from the table and was now behind her Aunt. She wrapped her arms around Cath's waist and hugged her close, kissing her neck.
"It sounds great. It'll give you two some time to talk through what happened," Jenny replied.
Cath turned around and held her niece's head in her hands.
"It will, darling; it will." Cath closed her eyes and kissed Jenny, softly, on the lips. Jenny responded, opening her mouth to turn the kiss into something much more passionate. Their tongues met and the kiss became sexy, Jenny moving her hands to Cath's tits. After a few seconds, Cath broke the kiss,
"Do you think we can keep our hands off each other for 48 hours?" she whispered.
"Not a chance," Jenny replied, and they both laughed.
"Hey, girls; grab that table by the window; I'll be with you in a bit," Frankie said, the next morning. Cath and Jenny sat down and watched flying around her cafe.
"How are you both? Frankie said when she got to their table.
"Good thanks, lovely. We'll have our usual and a chat with you later, if that's okay," Cath said.
"Perfect," Frankie said, writing down their order and racing off to the kitchen. They ate their breakfast and drank their coffee and, as the breakfast rush eased, Frankie pulled up a chair and sat down with them.
"This is getting ridiculous," Frankie said, "I need help on Saturday morning. I can't clear the tables fast enough to get people seated, so they go somewhere else."
"I'll ask around campus," Jenny said, "there must be some people who need a weekend job."
"Bless you, darling; that would be great," Frankie said, "now, what did you want to talk about?"
"Jenny's Mum is coming to stay in a few weeks," Cath said.
"Fuck," Frankie said, "how is that going to work?" Cath laughed,
"It'll be fine, love. We'll be extra careful and we'll bring her here for breakfast on the Saturday. Just don't mention your porn life; it'll just complicate things too much," Cath replied. Frankie nodded, thoughtfully.
"When is it?" she asked.
"14th, 15th," Cath said.
Ten days later, Cath phoned Cheryl to give her the details.
"Hi love, you okay? Good. Okay, here's the details. Get to mine around 3 on Friday afternoon. I'll cook, Friday night. Saturday, we'll do breakfast at my friend's cafe, Frankie's. Then, we'll give you the Brighton tour, back here, and we'll get a takeaway for Saturday night. How does that sound?"
"That sounds good," Cheryl replied, "do you need me to bring anything?"
"Wine, love; bring wine," Cath said. They laughed together.
"Oh, I can do that," Cheryl said, "I'll see you on Friday, then."
Friday morning was a whirlwind at Cath's house; cleaning, tidying, shopping and
checking; Cath meticulously went through every room looking for any evidence of her and Jenny's sexual relationship. Satisfied that everything was as it should be she felt more relaxed about her sister's impending visit. Jenny came back from the supermarket with the shopping and the two of them unloaded her car and went through Cath's list;
"I got everything, Cath, and I think it's all the right stuff," Jenny said, hoping she hadn't messed up.
"You did well, young Jenny," Cath announced, triumphantly crossing the final item off her list. She grinned at her niece;
"Come on, help me put this lot away and we can get ready to go and pick your Mum up."
An hour later they were at the train station scanning the people stepping off the train that Cheryl should be on. Cath spotted her first and waved; her sister waved back. She was dressed in a red sleeveless top which was cut low enough to reveal a healthy amount of cleavage but not so low as to look slutty. She wore tight, white jeans and strappy sandals with everything topped off by a pair of Oakley sunglasses. Cath thought she looked ten years younger than her forty years. She was pulling a small suitcase and had a red handbag over her shoulder. Jenny ran forward and hugged her as Cheryl kissed her on the cheek, finally leaning back and looking at her daughter before kissing her on the lips;
"You look fantastic, Jen," Cheryl said, looking her daughter up and down, "the sea air obviously suits you." They hugged again and Jenny took the suitcase. Cath held out her arms, hoping that Cheryl would accept the embrace. She did. They held each tight for a few seconds, no words passing between them yet a thousand unsaid thoughts hanging in the air. Cath kissed her younger sister on the cheek then Cheryl kissed Cath on the lips, holding her sister's face in her hands and holding the kiss for longer than was normal.
"I'm so sorry," Cheryl whispered, "I've been an idiot and I want to make it up to you this weekend." She kissed Cath's lips again, a perfectly innocent kiss and Cath pulled her back in for a hug. She was so pleased that things were back to normal between them; as the two eldest of the three sisters, they had been incredibly close for all of Cheryl's life, so the past few years had hurt Cath more than she would admit to Jenny, or herself for that matter.
They all got into Jenny's car for the short journey to the house; a journey filled with chatter and laughter.
"I'd forgotten how light and airy your house is," Cheryl said as she sat on the sofa with a glass of wine. They had been out for a walk around some of the places that Jenny had wanted to show her Mum, saving Frankie's for tomorrow morning. It was now late afternoon and they had opened a bottle of white wine before Cath started cooking dinner.
"Thank you," Cath said, sitting down next to her, "I'm really settled here."
"You'd tell me if having Jenny here is a problem, wouldn't you?" Cheryl said.
"Hello? Mum?" Jenny interrupted, "You know I'm stting here, right?"
"Cheryl, it isn't a problem. She's great company and she's good to have around," Cath said, "we have fun, don't we love?" Jenny nodded and smiled, not trusting herself to say something that wasn't packed with innuendo.
"Well, she certainly seems to have grown up this past year," Cheryl replied, "so you must be doing something right." Cath smiled at her sister and they clinked glasses.
"Right, you two," Cath said, "bugger off and make yourselves beautiful; I'm cooking."
Jenny and Cheryl went upstairs; Cheryl to Cath's room and Jenny to hers. She sat on the bed enjoying the last of her glass of wine, when there was a quiet knock on the door.
"Come in," Jenny said and her mother peered around the door;
"Can we talk for a minute?" Cheryl asked, closing the door behind her.
"Of course," Jenny replied, patting the bed beside her. Cheryl sat down;
"Do you think Cath has forgiven me? Cheryl asked. Jenny smiled;
"She forgave you a long time ago, Mum; you just didn't notice," Jenny replied. Cheryl smiled at her daughter;
"When did you get so grown up?" she asked. Jenny smiled;
"Here, Uni, Brighton," she replied, "it's a big thing, doing all of this in one year; but I couldn't have done half of it without Cath." Cheryl smiled,
"I'm so glad you're happy, love," Cheryl said, stroking her daughter's face. Jenny blew her a kiss and Cheryl blew one back.
"Right," Cheryl said, "can I have a shower first?"
"Of course, Mum," Jenny replied, tenderly. Cheryl stood up and opened the door;
"I'll be lickety split, pumpkin," she said over her shoulder. Jenny smiled at the silly phrase. She hadn't heard her Mum use it for years.
Five minutes later, Jenny could hear her Mum humming in the shower. She picked up her phone and texted Cath.
'U ok?'
