LIAM
I stood in the airport anxiously holding the sign that said 'Anna' on it in big letters. I hadn't seen my mom in over three years. We had kept in close contact through calls and email but when I moved across the country to go to school she just couldn't make it out. She would be surprised by my short cropped red hair, but I couldn't wait to see the green eyes that matched mine. I caught sight of her auburn hair in the crowd and held my sign up higher. I saw a smile break across her beautiful face and she raced towards me.
"LIAM!" she cried and flung herself into my arms. I hugged her tight, we were always close especially after she had left dad when I was a kid. She had finally decided to move to the same state I was going to school in to be close to me. I pulled back and looked her over. She hadn't changed much, a few new gray streaks in her hair. The beautiful little pink dress she was wearing was soft and clung to her body, showing that age hadn't treated her poorly in the body department.
"Mom, you haven't changed one bit! I missed you!" I exclaimed, giving her another hug and a kiss on the forehead. She grinned up at me as we walked to the carousel to get her suitcase. She would be staying in my spare room till she closed the contract in her new house. Then we would move in together again the way it had been before college. I was excited to be back with my best friend.
"Tell me about school! Any ladies I need to know about? I'm not messing with your game by moving in, am I?" Mom asked and I choked on my breath for a second. The truth was I had dated but no one was as great as mom, so I had given up.
"Naw, no one on my radar. Mostly just focused on my school work." I said and she smiled shyly, almost looking relieved by my answer. She suddenly looked uncomfortable and I understood why when she said the next thing.
"So I heard from your dad. He found out I was moving up here and had a fit. Seems he's been stalking me this whole time. He demanded I stay in Ohio and not come out here to Rhode Island." She said and I glared, mom had told me before what a controlling asshat dad was. Even out of our lives he had tried to control mom.
"He won't be able to reach you out here, did he give you trouble after I left?" I asked and she nodded. I clenched my fists, he had sent her threatening letters before.
"He won't be able to find you here. I've got you mom." I said and took her hand comfortingly. She squeezed it and then let go to grab her stuff off the carousel. I led her through the airport and out to my Jurassic Park themed Jeep, Rex. I helped her in and loaded her two suitcases up in the back. Then we went off to the little ranch style house I rented near the campus of my university.
ANNA
Liam held my hand the whole way to his house. I had missed him so much, these little connections were like a treasure. Daniel, his father, had been making my life hell after Liam had left and I was so happy to be out of his reach. To be back under the protective umbrella of Liam's presence. I let out a little giggle, I couldn't wait to get to his house and start making it into a home. I knew full well my boy was living a bachelor lifestyle.
We pulled up to the quaint little house and Liam smiled over at me as he parked the Jeep.
"Welcome home mom. I plan on ordering pizza tonight. I know you'll probably want to get the house in order." He said with a smirk and I laughed because he knew me all too well. He helped me out of the Jeep and brought my luggage up to the front door before letting me go in. Sure enough his house was the bare minimum of a couch, a TV and a fridge and range. I sighed, I was glad the little house I was buying was already furnished.
"You're such a bachelor." I said and he laughed scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.
"Here at least see what I did with your room." He said and took my hand again leading me to the right hand room in the hallway. He led me through to a room that had been painted a soft lavender, my favorite color. It had a full sized bed and a bookshelf and wardrobe set up for me. I smiled, it wasn't much, but he had done all he could to make it welcoming. I turned and threw my arms around his neck hugging him.
"Thank you Liam. I feel welcome." I told him and he slid his arms around my waist in a more intimate hold. I blushed as I suddenly felt warmth flutter in my belly.
"Good, I want you to feel at home mom. I've missed you so much, I love you." He whispered and kissed the top of my head, his lips lingering before he let me go and stepped back. My cheeks felt hot as I looked up at him.
"Get settled mom, I'll order the pizza while you rearrange my living room." He said with a mischievous smile before he left the room. I was left confused by my own body. How could my son holding me like that arouse me? His muscles from crossfit had pressed against me and I had just reacted. I shivered remembering his hardness holding me tight, the planes of his body molding to mine. A little moan escaped me and I felt myself getting wet.
"No, snap out of this Anna!" I snapped at myself and turned to unpack my clothes trying to move past my inappropriate feelings.
By the time I was done making the house feel a little more cozy the incident with Liam had fallen out of my mind. The front door opened and Liam walked in holding a massive pizza box.
"Best New York style pizza around." He gloated as he sat the box down on the kitchen counter. He took a look around as he opened the box and smiled.
"Wow mom, you really made this place feel like home. I love It." Liam said and ran a hand over my hair affectionately, it was a gesture he had always done since he had gotten taller than me. Suddenly it felt more flirtatious than before. He smiled down at me then grabbed a plate and a massive slice of pizza and went to plop on the couch. I did the same and sat next to him as he turned on the TV and put on my favorite show.
We ate and watched the show. Eventually Liam got up and got the rest for the pizza putting it on the coffee table so we could finish it. I pulled my legs up and tucked into Liam's side, his arm wrapped around my shoulders. We had always watched TV and movies curled up together, but now it felt intimate and almost flirtatious on both sides. Liam looked down at me and frowned as I sat up and pulled away.
"Mom? What's wrong?" He asked and I looked away, I couldn't tell him about these feelings I was having suddenly. This strange attraction and this need to be close to him.
"It's nothing, honey. I'm just feeling tired from the plane ride. I think I'll go to bed." I said and he smiled sadly. He leaned over and left a kiss on my cheek, it was a simple gesture we had shared countless times. Yet this time my heart raced and a part of me wished for those lips on mine. Tears ran down my cheeks suddenly as I realized I was in love with my son. I leapt up from the couch and ran to my room ignoring Liam's call after me.
LIAM
Distress filled me as I watched my mom run off with tears in her eyes. Confusion and frustration took over as I stood and followed. We had been tucked together on the couch like we always watched TV. When she suddenly pulled away and started acting strange. Maybe she had noticed my...attention at last. If my little bit of flirtation had made her cry like that, I would stop immediately. The last thing I wanted was to hurt my mom, I loved her. I loved her with everything I had.
I knocked on the door and heard her watery response from the other side.
"I'm fine Liam, just leave me alone for now." She whimpered from the other side, she only shut me out like this when she had something personal bothering her. What had I done?
"Mom, I'm sorry. Whatever I did to upset you. I love you and I'm sorry." I said quietly, taking any blame for her feeling that I could. When I didn't get a response I went to my room slamming the door. I sat on my bed and growled in frustration before stripping and just going to bed. Maybe tomorrow she would be better.
A gentle knock on my door woke me the next day. I groaned as I rolled over and sat on the edge of the bed. "Don't come in, I'm not dressed." I called and heard the door snap shut. I smirked, she never changed, always walking in after a short knock. I got up and pulled on a pair of gym shorts before I answered the door.
"Liam? Listen, I'm sorry about last night. I just had some heavy things on my mind." mom said as she looked down at the ground. I cupped her cheek, a less than familial gesture I knew but I needed to see her eyes. Bringing her gaze to mine, our green eyes met and she blushed.
"You don't have to apologize mom. I just wish you'd talk to me about stuff, but I understand if it's personal. As long as I'm not the cause of your pain." I said and kissed her forehead letting my lips linger, her breath hitching at the contact.
"No Liam, you could never hurt me sweetheart. You're my world." She whispered and her eyes half lidded as she leaned up her body moving a little closer. Her hand slid up my bare chest as I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer.
"Anna, what are you doing?" I whispered as her lips got closer to mine, our breath beginning to mingle.
"I don't know anymore." She whimpered and our lips met and she let out a little moan of desperation. My tongue ghosted over her bottom lip seeking entrance. She opened to me eagerly and her tongue met mine in a teasing dance. My hands drifted down to her ass and I ground her against my rapidly hardening length. Mom's eyes suddenly flashed open and she pulled away from me, pushing me away as she backed up to the other side of the hall.
"Liam, I...I am so sorry. What's...what's wrong with me!?" She cried and retreated to her room again. I cursed, I had pushed her too far again, but I was painfully hard and her body had felt so good against mine. I snarled and went into my room, I got dressed and grabbed my gym bag storming out of the house and heading to the crossfit gym.
