Graduation, high school graduation specifically, was a rough day for nearly everyone involved. For most of us, it was the true start of our lives, we'd go to college, get jobs, start families, and become who we were truly destined to be. Some of my friends, like Dwayne, was destined to become a star basketball player who would win his first NBA Championship ring during his rookie year with the Bucks. Heather, my longtime girlfriend and first love, or so I thought, would become a brain surgeon in Seattle. Then there was me. My destiny was simple: I'd become an Auntie fucker.
But before we get to the juicy parts, you have to get the context. Without it, none of this would ever make sense. So sit back and get ready to hear about how the best night of my life got started.

"I think we should break up, Matt." Heather said the words like someone who had rehearsed them over a hundred times in the mirror. Stiff and emotionless, robotic. Still, they were words I wasn't expecting to hear right before our high school graduation ceremony. The world around me grew distant, dark, with only Heather's red hair outlining her face being the only color I saw.
"Huh?" I grunted out.
"I just don't think a long-distance relationship will work with us." Heather continued, as if my response was her cue to keep going instead of repeating what she had said earlier. "I'll be in a whole different state, you'll still be here. Time zone change and..."
Her words became illegible noise, like the teacher from Charlie Brown. The sound of my blood boiling was all I could hear in my ears. How could she do this? Three years together, and she decides to throw it away? No trying to make things work? Worst of all, right before our graduation ceremony? This was supposed to be the best day of our lives. The day we walked into adulthood together hand in hand!
Now? Now it was one of the worst days ever.
"So yeah, I really do think you're a great guy and I know you'll make some lucky girl really happy." Heather's final words snapped me back into the moment and I stared at her. The dead look in my brown eyes faded away and I felt the cool breeze of the Nebraska wind blow through the fabric of my gown.
Heather stood in front of me with a somewhat worried smile on her face. It was the kind of smile you wore when trying to hide the fact that you were uncomfortable. She took a step forward, arms out as she tried to go for a hug. I stepped back immediately, shaking my head and holding my hands up to stop her. Fortunately, Heather got the message and didn't try anything more.
"Great timing, Heather." I finally managed to say. Heather simply nodded then turned around to walk towards her friends. Her heels clacked along the sidewalk and I watched with narrow eyes as she moved on with her life.
"Damn, that was cold." Dwayne said from behind. My best friend's voice brought me from the brink of lashing out and I turned around to face him instead of seeing my now ex-girlfriend move on as if she hadn't just shattered my world.
"It is what it is man." I responded, halfway trying to convince myself along with Dwayne.
So that was it, that was the start of what would end up becoming the best night of my life. The actual graduation ceremony was a slog. It was set outside on the football field, with the families all lined up on the hot bleachers and the students sitting on the field in chairs, baking in the sun. Add to the fact that my heart was broken less than five minutes before starting, it was obvious why I wanted out as soon as possible. My name was called, I grabbed my diploma, and smiled for the mandatory picture.
My family came out in force for my graduation. I didn't have a huge family, no siblings, my mom and dad, my grandma and my aunt all came out. As soon as the hats were tossed and we were released to our families, Aunt Marie was the first to greet me. A loud cheer preceded a tight hug. Marie was the exact opposite of my mom. My mom was proper, prim, timid, all the things you'd expect from a quiet girl. Marie was... not. Loud and proud, she said whatever was on her mind whenever it popped up, and dressed like she was going out to the club all the time. I'd be lying if I said she didn't invade my random masturbation fantasies during my earlier years. She was blonde, like my mother and I, fair skinned and curvy in a way that made all my friends drool after her when they saw her.
She was hot, there was no denying that. But she was my aunt, so I never openly admitted that and certainly never thought about acting on any impulses that may have cropped up from time to time. But when she hugged me and pressed my head down into her soft boobs, I could feel myself wanting to simply melt into her. The touch of a female was magical.
"Oh I'm so proud of you!" Marie exclaimed, stepping back from the hug. She looked at me with a bright smile and kept her hands on my arms. I feigned a smile and looked at her.
"Thanks, Aunt Marie." I responded. Marie's smile faded away and immediately I knew she knew something was wrong.
"What happened?" She asked, glancing back to see my mom and dad were still helping grandma down the steps towards me. I shook my head in a vain attempt to brush her off and Marie squeezed my arms.
"Heather and I broke up before the ceremony." I admitted. Marie smacked her lips and frowned.
"What a bitch." Was her response. She hugged me tight again, drowning me in her aroma, and brought her lips to my ear. "Don't you worry, you'll forget about it by the end of the night."
"Marie, stop smothering the boy!" My dad yelled out from behind her. Marie laughed and stepped away from me as my parents and grandma drew near. "Congratulations son, we're so proud of you." My dad said with a firm hug. He stepped back and my mom hugged me next.
"Oh my baby boy, all grown up." She said with a smile. Up next was my grandma, who smiled and hugged me in silent pride.
"Any of your friends coming to the party?" Dad asked. I nodded as we started walking.
"Dwayne for sure, and who ever you guys invited."
"Well, we invited a lot, you know how these things go." Dad responded.
"You got me, so the party is going to be hot!" Marie suddenly chimed, grabbing onto my arm once again.
"Is Heather coming?" My mom asked. I shook my head.
"That girl is not to be mentioned anymore." Marie interrupted. My mom got the picture right away and simply nodded. With that out of the way, we all walked away, piling into dad's SUV with Marie and I in the back.

The party kicked off almost right after we returned home. I had changed out of my gown and switched to something more comfortable. About ten minutes later, the doorbell was ringing and the guests were arriving. Most of them were friends of my parent's and their kids, usually younger. A few of my basketball teammates arrived, and then Dwayne showed up with his mom and younger sister. By that point, the adult drinks had begun to come out and the food was being absolutely devoured.
"Dude, your aunt's pretty cool." Dwayne said as we stood in the backyard of my house. I glanced over at him, confusion in my eyes as he snapped me out of my trance. I knew Dwayne well, which meant I knew he was checking out my aunt while we hung out. I followed his gaze over to Marie, she was currently talking with Dwayne's mom, holding a beer in her hand. But it wasn't just her talking that had caught his eye. It was the fact that she was in a skirt and platform shoes that showed off her legs and barely covered her ass.
"Don't even think about it." I responded.
"What? I'm 18, she's single, it's legal now." Dwayne continued. I punched him in the arm and he roared with laughter. "Gotta work on that right hook of yours if you want to last in the world without me." He joked as he walked away towards the designated dance area. I scanned the crowd and caught Marie looking right at me. With a smile that confused my inner boyhood, she grabbed a second beer bottle from the cooler and sauntered her way towards me. I watched her, entranced, as she swayed towards me. The mischievous smile on her face had completely gone over my head.
"Hey there lover boy, I mean, lover man." Her voice grew husky at the end and she held the fresh beer towards me. "Graduation gift, don't tell your mom."
"Uh..." I was dumbfounded about what she had wanted. Drinking alcohol was something that never crossed my mind. "Huh?" With a roll of her eyes, Marie snatched my plastic cup out of my hand and dumped the soda into the grass. One heartbeat later, she was pouring the beer into the cup as full as it could go and then handed it back to me.
"Drink up! It's a party!" She finished the rest of both bottles quickly and then waited for me to drink. She was right, right? This was a party and besides, I was at home. There was no safer space to drink for the first time than in my own backyard. I brought the cup to my lips and took a sip. The taste was bitter, and I must have made a face because Marie burst out into laughter.
"Oh god, that's what you've been drinking?" I asked with a disgusted cough.
"It gets better. Don't worry." Marie said with a wink. Maybe it was because I was overthinking things, but I would have sworn right then and there that Marie adjusted her top to show off her cleavage a bit more. But I was also just a horny graduate who had just been dumped and was clearly seeing things, right?
"Just finish that cup." With that, Marie spun around and moved towards the dance area, swaying her hips to the music at the same time. I held the cup in my hand and looked around for my parents, mainly my mom. She was inside, thankfully. At my aunt's behest, I took another sip and held back making a face this time. The second time wasn't nearly as bad as the first. As I brought the cup back down, my dad walked past me with a fresh plate of hot dogs. He looked at me with the kind of smile that only a dad who knows what's going on and nodded.
"Don't tell mom." Were his only words to me as he continued in an unbroken stride.
