By the time Jean and Tod returned to the reception area, both Julie and Mark were there, waiting.
Jean went straight into her office to finish dressing Tod presumed. He saw Julie smirking as jean went past her. Mark seemed oblivious to anything. Tod gave Mark fifty books to re-shelve.
He went back to the reception desk and sat at his computer, which was off to one side. He could see Julie and Jean's office door. Behind him was a solid wall, giving him complete privacy.
He started researching. the people on his list. He found Margaret Summers. She worked as a volunteer at a blind school close to the campus.
Trying to kill two birds with once. He typed in Jayme Smith; sure enough, she attended the same school. Jayne was student though, having been made deaf and blind through a car accident. He read through both of their Bio's Margaret was born blind; she was forty-two, single, and lived with a cat called Oscar. In her photos, he found pictures of a woman who liked a challenge. Sailing and mountain climbing among her many feats. Travel was a big feature as well. She'd been to south America, Europe and New Zealand.
Jayne, on the other hand was struggling to adapt. Which he thought most people would, having lost her two primary senses. Her husband had left her a year after the accident; there were no children in the marriage. Just a dog, which she kept. At thirty years old, she felt alone in the world. Some of her friends had stuck by her. And on the plus side, she had started a writing course. Her job before the accident had her working as a corporate manager's senior assistant.
Her media profile hadn't been updated in over a year, understandable he thought. So her pictures were of her married life. Jayne was a pretty, slim, 5'10" woman with dark brown hair.
Now all he had to do was come up with a plan!
He took a break from the computer and went to get something to eat. Sitting the campus cafeteria, His mind worked on how to get access to the two women, without being too obvious! Half way through his ham and tomato sandwich, he was joined at his table by a couple of students. He didn't mind the intrusion; the place was noisy anyway.
He listened to the two students discussing a project they were working on. They looked for people who'd helped the city grow. One was talking to an ex mayor, whilst the other was talking with an architect who had helped design some of the major buildings.
Tod listened with interest; it gave him an idea! He could use the differing aspects of the women's conditions. He smiled to himself and mentally thanked the two students.
Just as he cleared his tray away, his phone rang.
"Hi mom." he answered.
"Hello, I'm calling to let you know your aunt Mary will be in town this weekend; thought you might call round this weekend!"
"Sure, I can do that; is Sofia coming too?"
"Yes, your cousin will be there. By the way, I'm not trying to rush things between us, but. When do I get to have your cock in my pussy again?" His mom certainly had changed he thought, definitely more direct!
"I hadn't thought about it mom!"
"Well, if you're not coming until Saturday! I suggest you come over Friday night! Karen is at her friend's until Sunday, so be early Friday evening; I have plans for that cock of yours!"
"OK, I'll be there after I finish work." his mom ended the call. He still hadn't got used to the idea of sex with his mom. But the twitch of his cock told him differently.
Helen went shopping on the Thursday before her son arrived. Since Tod had gone back to school, she'd had this fixation about dressing to seduce someone. She'd trawled the net, looking for inspiration. Not finding anything she could relate to. She ventured out to find herself something.
Helen wandered in and out of the fashionable stores, but couldn't find that one piece that would call to her.
It was while she was having a coffee that she would eventually solve her dilemma.
Two women sat across from her, obviously mother and daughter. That wasn't what got her attention. It was the mother's bag. It was just a simple white bag with the store's name in black lettering. Standing before her daughter, the mother pulled a midnight blue dress from the bag. It looked good from where Helen was sitting. It was when the woman did a turn towards Helen; that she saw the very open neck with shoulder straps. The dress fell at the women's knees. Helen stood and approached the woman.
"I hope you don't mind; I was wondering where you bought that beautiful dress?" the woman seemed hesitant.
"I'm not a fan of the colour. More of a black dress person myself!" she smiled at the woman, who seemed to relax.
"We have just found this amazing place just outside of town. They do custom orders, so last month I had a fitting, and here it is!" they chatted for a while longer, before the woman gave her the address.
Helen walked out of the cafe towards her car. "this could be the place?" she said to herself.
Helen easily found the store just off the main highway. A row of one-story buildings in front of a large car park. Helen was feeling excitement at finding the right dress. It was a typical clothing store. A counter to the left with an area in front, for jeans and jumpers. At the back was a hanging rail with various dress's on it.
Helen saw the black dress as she walked to the rail. "Please let it be the right size." she thought.
The label inside showed it was a size too big; her heart sank. Still holding the dress she turned it this way and that, before putting it back on the rail.
"We do alterations?" a voice said from behind her. Helen turned to find a small woman smiling at her.
"Is that what you want?" the woman said, knowing damn well Helen did.
"How soon would it be ready?" Helen asked,
"after I take your measurements, about an hour!"
She had tried the dress on after the alterations. She loved it.
Helen headed home satisfied. Friday couldn't come soon enough.
Tod had his plan. He was standing outside the school for the blind. His appointment was with a member of the board. He stood in the main entrance hall. It was very impressive, large columns rising to a vaulted ceiling. The floor was marble, as was sections of the walls. The hallway echoed with the sound of people passing through. The building itself had been built in the mid-Victorian era. When the city was growing through the industrial revolution.
"you must be Tod?" a voice behind him asked. He saw a large, smiling woman behind him.
"My name is Emily." she held her hand out. In her other hand was a white cane with a red tip at the base. Tod reached for her hand.
"Yes, I'm Tod. Pleased to meet you." they shook hands and Emily spoke to him about being aware of people walking through the building.
"Not everyone is blind here; some like me are partially sighted, as shown by the red tip on my cane. If you'll follow me, I'll take you to meet Margaret."
Emily led him to a small room along a corridor that was lined with other rooms.
Standing at a window was Margaret. Her face was lifted to the sun as it filled the room.
"Margaret, this is Tod." Emily said. Margaret stood at the window as she spoke.
"I hope you're not one of those people who insist on offering me help; I can't abide people who think we need help to do things! We're like everyone else? If we need help? Then we'll ask for it!"
Tod knew straight away that he liked this woman.
Three hours later, Tod and Margaret were sitting in the school restaurant. They hated the word cafeteria, so they changed it.
"So, how did I do? Am I what you thought a blind person would be?" Tod laughed.
"You did great, and you are definitely not what I expected." he answered still laughing.
"Good. Because I think we'll get along fine. You've learned a little about me! Like laughing instead of just smiling at something I've said; we can't see a smile, but we know the difference between fake laughter and genuine!"
Margaret walked him back the entrance. She even held his arm as they walked, not something she did often.
"Thank you for meeting me. I now feel as if I have the beginnings of an understanding about you."
Margaret stood on tiptoes and kissed him on his cheek.
Tod felt guilty. He'd just meet a wonderful woman, full of life, beautiful and independent. He tried to push those feeling away; she was a means to an end. Selfish, he knew, but that was his reality.
He'd planned to meet her the following Tuesday afternoon.
Later that day, Tod sat at his laptop at home. His plan regarding Margaret went better than he'd planned. He thought about Jayne and his plan to meet her. He had the idea of how each of the women dealt with their condition. Margaret saw her blindness as her way of life. Whereas Jayne had been dealt a cruel blow. She viewed things differently. He would propose his idea to Margaret and hopefully she could help.
Miriam Wilson. Her name rang loud across the internet. Known for her out dated views on race, and why they should never marry. It was an old opinion. Having researched the issue, he found countless examples across the centuries. He had a different approach in mind. He spent the rest of the week trawling through the internet, looking for his way in.
and after two days and most of his nights, he found it.
Tod slept late on Friday. He phoned Jean at the library and smiled when Lucy answered the phone. She put him straight through to Jean's office. Normally Jean would be pissed if you took a day off, but not today. She told him she'd see him on Monday.
Lucy jumped in on the call as he was about to hang up.
"I know you had something to do with Emma and I getting our jobs back! I just wanted to say thanks. I'm sure we'll come up with a way to thank you properly?" he laughed in response.
"I'm sure you will! I'll see you Monday." with that he hung up.
After a quick shower and something to eat, he thought about his mother. This was a completely different woman than the one he'd grown up with. Before, he would have been able to predict what his mom would wear, and what would be for dinner! Not anymore, though. Her sister was in for one hell of a shock.
