((Authors note: All characters are over the age of eighteen. Hey everyone! Thank you for all the support and the comments. Also, apologies for the slow upload schedule. I've had a super busy week at work and have barely had the time to write anything. I've tried to make this chapter a little longer to align with some of the feedback as well as move the story forwards in a much more direct manner. I hope you like it! As always please rate and comment as it's the best way for me to continue to grow. Thank you!))
Little Sister Dominique
Chapter Three
Stephanie didn't sleep that night.
After her sister nearly caught her in the act of panty sniffing and masturbating Stephanie had barely been able to look at Dominique in the eye. Instead, she'd quickly excused herself to the bathroom, showered for much longer than was normal, and hurried back to her room.
The dark blue duvet was still wet when she sat down in her towel. The smell of her juices lingered in the air. The evidence of what she'd done made racked Stephanie with guilt and fear. And all of that is without mentioning the most incriminating item still hidden under her pillow. Dominique's dirty panties were within mere centimetres away.
She tossed and turned all night, but sleep would take her. She felt ill. She got up several times to go to the bathroom or have a drink, hoping beyond hope that it might help ease her, but nothing worked. All she could smell was the scent of pussy. It got so bad that she actually opened a window, despite how cold it made the room, in order to air it out a bit. When dawn finally broke, she simply gave up and tried to get in an early start.
This was a good idea for a handful of reasons. Firstly, it meant she could get a head start at work for the day, something that would put her in the bosses' good books and also help actually leave on time for once. Secondly, it gave her something to do instead of sitting about worrying all day. A busy mind would be less prone to lambast her with waves of guilt, and being mobile would surely tire her out for the following night. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, it would get her away from Dominique.
Stephanie felt kind of guilty about that last one. After all her little sister was an innocent in all of this. She hadn't left her dirty panties just lying around for her sister to stumble upon. She hadn't made Stephanie do her laundry, or to accidentally leave them out on the floor. She definitely didn't ask for her sister to use those dirty panties as a masturbation aid. That was all Stephanie's fault. It felt kind of cruel to abandon her over something she wasn't even aware of.
But Stephanie was not prepared to face her little sister. Not that morning, not that day, and probably not for the foreseeable future. She knew she was just prolonging the inevitable, and that she'd have to face her sister eventually, but for now she just couldn't bring herself to. Besides, its not like she was about to confess everything to Dominique. She just needed some time to sort her head out first.
She hightailed it out of the apartment to catch the earlier bus without even bothering to make herself a lunch or leave a note for Dominique.
**************************************************************************************************************
That evening Stephanie crept back into the apartment as quietly as she could.
She assumed, correctly, that Dominique would be in her room, as she usually was at this time of day. The hope was that Stephanie could sneak into her room without alerting her sister so she could have a bit of time without having to face her. Even thinking about Dominique was now causing her to blush out of sheer embarrassment.
Silently, she snuck through the lounge and into her bedroom, stopping only to lightly close the door behind her. Mission accomplished, she collapsed on her emerald sheets, lying face up and staring at the ceiling. She'd hoped that throwing herself into work might make her feel better, more like her usual self, but all that she'd really achieved was that she now smelt of sweat after having such a busy day.
Inside her mind what she'd done the previous evening still loomed over her like a dark shadow. She'd tried her best to rationalise it over her lunch break, trying desperately to find a reason why she'd done what she had. Maybe it was simple projection? It wasn't so much her sister she was thinking about, but more herself. It was possible, though unlikely. Maybe Stephanie was actually attracted to girls, and this was just an awkward, kind of safe, way to experiment and fantasise about something she didn't even know she desired. That seemed more likely, but Stephanie couldn't really think of any other women she was attracted to.
She laid there, mulling ideas over and over in her head for about an hour before she heard Dominique knock on her door.
"Steph? Are you home already?"
Stephanie, bolted up right. She had planned on easing into a conversation with Dominique. Talk about dinner, or rant to her about work. She didn't expect Dominique to be at the actual scene of the crime when she did so. As long as she kept her bedroom door closed it was almost like it didn't happen.
"Yeah." Stephanie replied, curtly. "I'll be out in a minute."
"Oh, okay." Dominique said.
"Yeah, I just have to take a shower and then we can make some dinner." Stephanie tried very hard to sound casual.
"Right, sure." Dominique murmured. "Let me know when you're done?"
"Sure thing sis!" Stephanie said, only realising afterward that she'd never called her sister "sis" before in her entire life.
Her heart still pounding, Stephanie quickly got up and bolted into the bathroom. At least here she could have a few moments to prepare herself.
She stood under the warm water, letting the gushing liquid purge her of her sweat and her fears. It wasn't supposed to be a hair wash night, but Stephanie extended her time just a little bit more by both shampooing and conditioning her long brown hair. She was being ridiculous, and she knew it. She should just get over herself and stop being weird.
When she exited the shower, dressed only in a towel she had wrapped just under her arms around her, she yelled out to Dominique that she'd be ready to make a start on dinner as soon as she'd changed. However, what met her eyes when she got back to her room shook her resolve.
Dominique sat on the edge of Stephanie's bed. She looked grumpy. Not quite angry, not quite hurt, but she was definitely not the happy, carefree, girl she usually was. Stephanie shuffled into the room and just stood in front of her sister awkwardly for a moment.
"We need to talk." Dominique said bluntly.
"Err... ye-yeah..." Stephanie breathed, her heart in her throat. Was she about to be found out?
"I'm kind of upset that you haven't even asked me about how the promo thing went." Dominique told her. "I mean, I get that maybe you were tired last night or whatever, but you disappeared at like six this morning or something, and then didn't even bother to let me know you'd got home. I know this is your place, and I'm just a guest, but I thought you'd at least try to make a bit of effort and support me just a little."
Stephanie felt as though the weight of the world had just been dropped off her shoulders. Was this all it was? She hadn't been found out. This was good. This was really good!
But then she realised what her sister was actually saying. She felt unseen, unsupported. In the madness that had been the last twenty-four hours Stephanie had done her best to avoid her sister at all costs. Dominique was actually right to call her out on it. She had gone to do a promo yesterday. Stephanie hadn't even thought about it once until she'd been reminded just now. She was being a bad sister.
"You're right." Stephanie said. "I'm sorry. I just got a little preoccupied with some, err, some other stuff. I didn't mean to make you feel like I don't care. Because I do."
"No, that's fine." Dominique replied, looking up at her sister with her big blue eyes. "But you can see why I'd be upset right?"
