Liam spent the next few hours on various equipment at the gym. He knew most of the regulars there now and would stop between stints on the equipment to chat. As he was completing his usual routine and starting his 'warm down' regime, a new girl appeared who he hadn't seen before. It was evident that a lot of the other men there hadn't seen her either, as the majority were visually stripping her, with their eager eyes. 'And no wonder,' thought Liam. He had not seen lycra so nicely filled in a while. The body gripping material leaving very little to the imagination, such that it was just like another layer of skin. Her perfect behind bounced up and down as she jogged on the running machine. Her toned long legs easily coping with the task she was setting them. Her breasts had taken on the same rhythm as her buttocks and bounced along as she got into her stride. Her auburn hair was in a pony tail, which swished from side to side as she ran. With music playing through her air pods she seemed oblivious of the attention she was getting. Liam realised he was as guilty as the other men in admiring the perfectly designed and manufactured female chassis before him, so he purposefully climbed onto one of the rowing machines that meant he had his back to her.
He spent the next 10 minutes gradually bringing his body down from the intensive work out that he had just given it and checked his 'fit bit'. He had completed his two-hour session. Stopping his music, he sat for a while on the rower, drying the sweat on his body. He took a swig of water, then checked his pulse on the watch-shaped device. As he was doing so, the long lithe legs of the young woman came into view as she stood beside him. "Sorry to bother you," she said with a voice as soft and smooth as melted chocolate, deep for a woman; melodious. He looked slowly upwards. Making sure his eyes contacted hers, rather than any other parts of her anatomy.
"Yes, how can I help?" His relaxed smile seemed to put the young woman at her ease.
"Sorry," she said again. "This is my first time at this gym. The guy that was supposed to be doing the induction has gone off sick. As I turned up anyway, they have allowed me to use the equipment that I have used in the past, but there are a couple of pieces that I want to try that I haven't used before. I wondered if you wouldn't mind showing me? I can see that you have been using the machines for some time." Her eyes blatantly ran over his body, making Liam more than a little self-conscious. "If I'm interrupting your work out, then please just tell me to bugger off!"
Liam laughed, making the young girl smile. "Always willing to help a lady in distress." He said getting up from the rower. "I have just finished my work out for tonight anyway. So, what did you want to use?"
"Well, the stepping machine and the thigh press. I want to work on my hips and bum tonight."
"Ok," said Liam, making sure that he did not fall into the trap by allowing his eyes to appraise her tightly clad arse. He had had a pretty good look when she was on the running machine anyway. "So, have you 'warmed up' first? What have you been on so far?"
"Yep, done all my stretches and have spent 20 mins on the runner."
"Ok then. This is how you set up this machine." Liam said moving to the 'stepper'. "Have you ever used one before?"
"Nope, never. But they say climbing stairs is really good for the thighs."
"It is...but this is more like climbing a ladder... You will find it a little more intense."
"Ohhh goody..."
He laughed again, instantly liking this girl. "My name's Liam but the way." He held out his hand to her.
"Hello Liam. I'm Natasha. Don't mind Tasha or Tash, hate Nat."
"I rather like Natasha." He said in his relaxed way. Makes me think of a sexy Russian spy. You're, not are you?"
She laughed at him. "Thanks for the compliment. But no, I'm not a spy, I'm not Russian, that I know off, and as for sexy...in this gear...I don't think so. But I like that you like Natasha."
"Well Natasha. These are the basics on this machine. This is how you adjust the step height. This is how you adjust the hand-holds. This is the resistance and this the time. As you are holding onto the bars here, it will measure your heart-beat too. Now easiest thing to do is think of yourself walking on your toes rather that the soles of your feet. Don't wait for one of the steps to hit the stop. Before you use the other one, just keep moving until you have a rhythm going. It will feel awkward at first. I have set it up based on your height and weight, you should find it comfortable. Just get on and try, we can adjust it if need be?"
"Well that's clever, how do you know my height and weight, we've only just met?"
"Guessed. 5'.5"/5'.6" and about 112 pounds."
"Umm. I would say that Liam has been studying Natasha a little too closely." She smiled at him warmly. "114 pounds actually and you are spot on with the height. How did you do that?"
"Occasionally I help the gym out in doing inductions, and some personal training."
"Ohh, in that case, you were cheating."
He smiled at her, "Go on, step onto the machine, reach for the handles and let me know if you are comfortable, I have set the resistance to low until you get used to it."
Natasha stepped on to the equipment. Very quickly getting into a good rhythm. Liam leant across and dialled in a little more resistance. "There," he said. "That is a good starting place. If you remember those settings for next time." He stopped to watch the woman as she operated the machine. After a while he said, "Your form is very good."
"Why thank you sir," Natasha puffed in response, already beginning to feel the burn; "though how you can tell when it is covered in lycra I don't know. Unless your personal training goes a little deeper?"
Liam blushed. "That is technique. Your technique is very good Natasha."
"Ooops." She laughed making no apology. "Ok, I've got this one. Let's try the thigh press. I'm conscious that you probably need to be getting off home?"
Liam looked at his watch. "Ok," he said moving over to that bit of kit and waiting for Natasha to walk over. She had grabbed a towel and her water, and had pulled the zip down on the front of her lycra top, to just show some cleavage. Her breasts, squashed tightly by the material, were none-the-less of a reasonable size. She stood by Liam. "So, what do we do with this instrument of torture?"
"Probably best if I show you." He sat down on the device. "This is much simpler, but you must get the weight and 'stops', in the right position, otherwise you can do yourself an injury. Firstly, set the weight onto the lightest, then put your knees against the pad and push outwards. Get a feel for whether this is too easy or just right. Adjust the weight accordingly. As with all exercise, if you want to gain muscle bulk, then heavy weights, with minimal reps., if you want toned muscle, then minimum weights, but maximum reps. But I'm sure you know that."
"Natasha smiled at Liam as she closely watched him on the thigh press. "To be honest, I didn't know that. So, thanks for the expert advice."
"Hardly an expert, but the advice is sound. This exercise is not only good for the quads, but also the adductors, specifically the Gracilis and Longus."
"Bless you." Tasha laughed at her own joke."
Liam carried on, "Now, for the exterior part of your thigh and your glutes, swap the pads to the inside of your legs. Now this is where you need to set the stops, and be careful of the weight, otherwise, unless you are capable of doing the splits before, you will certainly be capable afterwards!" They both laughed as he showed her what to do. "This exercise is good for the Sartorius, the Rectus and the Tensor fasciae latae, as well as your gluteus medius."
"Hey," she said, that's the second time you've mentioned about exercising my bum, are you saying it looks big in this?" She turned around to show him.
Liam just laughed, without really looking, saying. "It would be unprofessional to comment. Now, your turn."
"You really do know your stuff don't you. And you said you do some personal training for the gym too?"
