"I might know someone whose type are girls like you."
"..........Fuck you mean by that?" Though I remained slumped over on my school desk, I tilt my head enough to look at the chick in front of me in the eye. Hair bleached blonde, chewing on something sticky and fiddling with her phone likely texting her next lay of the week. One of a few other friends of mine but this one is whom I hung around the most throughout the schoolyear.
"Y'know, fun-sized, 100 pounds soakin' wet, the kind that stars in porn being a pin cushion for black guys. The kind that gets called 'barely legal' even when she's 25." The valley-girl accent felt like screws on my eardrums, but I somehow put up with it every single day. I suppose the thought of being alone and friendless scared my ass more.
"....Monika, screw that noise. You know how those kind of guys usually aโre. I hang out with him, let him use me like a drumstick, then next thing you know, I'm part of their coca parties as Skeletor, the red-nosed crackwhore. Pshh pshh pshh mmmmmh, y'know what I'm doing here?" I phantomime a fisting motion into an imaginary asshole while looking at Monika dead in the eye.
"What makes you think they're gonna fist you?"
"What makes you think they won't?"
"To you basically anything is a BBC, so no need for you to have a real one up your ass for it to feel like one, y'know?"
"In any case....." I slump my head against my desk again, cushioned only by the pile of notebooks on it. ".....I'll pass."
"Beggars can't be choosers, girlfriend."
"......Fuuuuuck......"
"Fiiiine fine, you don't want him, that's fine. Means I've got two appointments for tonight." I then hear her phone's keyboard sounds rapidly tap away, presumably to give that guy the disappointing news that no, I will not need him to rearrange my guts or anything of the sort.
"Yeees, yes, go. Ride his cock to your heart's content or whatever, girlfriend."
"Though you can't just keep wallowing like that, y'know. Bad for the heart and stuff."
"I'll find my way out of this bullshit."
"Hmph, don't you always?"
"Bingo."
"That's my Issa. A'right, I should go now, Richard's โโโโโโover there waiting for me outside. Luv ya, girlfriend."
"Mmyes yeah yeah yeah, luv ya, go ride Dick's dick, make him happy and shit."
Monika taps me on the cheek a few times before briskly leaving the classroom to meet this tall, well-built bloke standing outside, leaving me alone to stew in my own thoughts again.
"......aughh."

12:24 P.M.
I patiently stand by the door of this new house my mom brought me to. My name is Issa, a young adult and the only child of my parents. Mom said that I'll be living here at grandma's house until things at home get sorted out, something about family circumstances, things I didn't really understand, nor that I really cared for. Spending my summer out here in the sticks with some family I've never fully met before might not be so bad, I guess.
This is shortly after I found out my boyfriend of ten months, now ex-boyfriend, had been juggling two girls behind my back. Anything to take my mind off that load of horseshit, I suppose. It's the last thing I want to think about.
Mom knocks on the front door, and not a minute later we're greeted by an older woman, presumably my grandma, and a young man. He had somewhat messy hair, bright amber-colored eyes, and looks to be the same age as me, if only because he's as tall as I am.
"I'm glad you made it here so quickly. I've already prepared the room for her the best I can do. Jace dear, why don't you take her to the shared bedroom?" The woman spoke while ushering us inside. The guy, likely her son, never once looked up at her as she talked, though his cold, amber gaze seemed glued to both me and my mom, likely out of curiosity.
A rather cute guy, I'll have to admit.

12:46 P.M.โ
"Ma told me we'll be sharing a bedroom together. That desk over there and the bottom bunk are mine. You can have the top bunk."
The young man told me once mom and grandma left us alone in the bedroom. He seems relaxed yet at the same time apprehensive, like he's hiding something for whatever reason.
"Jace's your name, right?" I ask while tying my hair into a neat little ponytail. "I'm Issa."
"Yes. And from what ma told me, I guess I'm your uncle."
I wasn't surprised by that even for a second. New family members had been coming out of the woodwork since Grandpappy's recent death and funeral. Aunts, uncles, cousins, half-siblings, you name it. I guess he was some kind of serial polygamist back in his younger days.
