As part of my medical education, one of the psychiatrists gave our class a lecture on "hypnosis". Then we all argued about "does it work", except it is obvious that it DOES work- what is not obvious is exactly, and how much control of a person can be obtained by hypnosis.
Stage hypnotists quickly SELECT individuals who voluntarily show how suggestible they are. That is what evil people have always done, isn't it. Hitler attracted those who wanted to BE LIKE HITLER. The "charisma" of a Charles Manson is not charisma that would likely charm you or me, but charms the pants off a girl who had been treated badly AND fucked regularly by her step-dad. Manson treated these women with love and respect- and they WANTED him to fuck her, and they wanted to do whatever he wanted them to do (including fucking others, and even killing). Not that much a genius if he thought he could send them off to kill, and he would have a perfect "alibi".
Isn't it reasonable for any person who learns about hypnosis to wonder if he can really get others to "do his bidding"? Most great leaders learned how to do that WITHOUT OBVIOUS HYPNOSIS. And maybe hypnosis is just a way to show how THAT works. Parents try to hypnotize their children into "behaving", and sometimes into a lot more than that. And that's what this story is all about- except I am the child, almost all grown up, and I found a way to hypnotize my parents, who had been structuring my reality for 21 years when I first learned how to hypnotize. What better subjects than the two people I knew best, and knew the most about. Before my story is done, you may be wondering why you have not done something like this- and I predict that a lot of you will try. Only not what I did, which is really nasty and socially undesirable, which is why I am writing it as a fantasy (even though almost every detail is true.)
I was home from Med School for a holiday and my mom asked me about classes. I listed them and said a little about them, then mentioned "medical hypnosis" and explained that it allowed doctors to help patients in a variety of ways. I explained that hypnosis could help a patient remember to take medicines, and remember to do exercises that were prescribed, and.. so on and so forth. She asked if hypnosis was "real". I explained that there was a lot of controversy, but that most people believed that "hypnotic suggestions" did not really work well unless the person already was OK with whatever was suggested. All true, but I did not include the various ways (all unethical) that a hypnotist can learn what someone WANTS to do, and make some other action seem like it is the one that is desired. I would soon learn that once mom and I were watching a Rolling Stones video, after I had hypnotized her into believing I was Mick Jagger- she was totally anxious (even pleading) to suck my cock. I had overheard her telling a friend about her fantasy of doing that, back in the day (before I was born!).
When she "woke up", she not only did not remember what she had done, but she did remember that she managed to sneak backstage after a Stones concert, and suck off Mick Jagger in the rest room. If asked to describe the rest room, she would laugh and say that it was a lot like OUR guest toilet. She remembered every detail, except the minor detail that it was me, NOT Mick.
