Max comes home from a long day at work to find Sky crying in the living room, she looks all dolled up like she was supposed to go somewhere. Her eyes are glossy and the modest amount of mascara she wore trickles down her cheeks, ruining her face. He did not need three guess to know what happened tonight.
"Let me guess, my dad promised you a night out, just the two of you and then canceled because he has to work late again, right?" Max takes a seat next to her, puts his muscular arms around her. The smell of her subtle perfume mixes with her own natural scent and it's intoxicating.
"Get cleaned up, I am going to take you out tonight and give you a night to remember." Max promises Sky and he holds her tight.
"Max, you just got off work, you do not need to take care of me. And besides, I am sure you have better things to do." Sky says hesitantly, looking down instead of meeting his gaze.
"He let you down just like he has for two years, you need a night out and I know the place. I want to give you a nigh you deserve." Max whispers seductively. His eyes are glowing with desire and Sky can't help but feel a connection to him. She nods her head and wipes her tears away, forcing a smile to her face. Max smiles back at her and helps her stand up, letting go of her reluctantly.
"An hour from now, you are going to forget all this for a while, I want to do this for you Sky, you deserve it." Max says holder her. hand.
"You know what, that sounds wonderful Max, I will go get cleaned up while you change." Sky says gratefully. Max smiles and watches her walk away, his gaze locks on her ass, imagining his hands on her curves.
Max changes out of his work clothes, into a crisp shirt, and designer jeans that fit him well. His muscular biceps poke out of the sleeves, highlighting his athletic physique.
Max walks out of his room and find Sky ready all dolled up and ready for a night out. "You look so hot Sky, let's go show you off." Max says as he takes in her figure. The tight red dress she wore was hugging all the right places, she looked like a supermodel on a runway. Max couldn't help but stare.
Sky blushes and smiles back at him, feeling a little uncomfortable. She wasn't used to receiving compliments from men like Max. She was married to a man who was too busy working to even notice her. She didn't know how to respond to Max's advances.
As they are about to leave Miley enters the house, "Where the fuck do you two think you're going, your supposed be going out with my dad SKY!" She says while staring at her brother and Sky looking all dressed up.
"WTF you think happened, dad stood her up again and I am taking her out to treat her how she should be treated, you got a problem with that sissy." Max says as he ignores Miley's anger and remarks.
"Fine, you want to waste your time taking out the gold-digging trophy wife then go ahead, treat her like the slut she is. But know this, Sky, you won't last long here, the only reason he married you is because you're fucking hot and dumb enough to let him control you. But if you think you're going to replace my mom, then you're dead wrong." Miley says before storming off, her words rip another hole in Sky's self-esteem.
"Shut up bitch, the only thing you care about is your allowance so you can party, and the inheritance cause you sure as hell are never going to amount to anything, you do not give a shit about anything else. Let's go Sky." Max taker hand and ushers her outside.
Sky feels a wave of relief wash over her. She didn't realize how much she craved a connection with someone, anyone. Max put his arm around her, and she leaned into him, taking comfort in his warmth.
Max takes them to Echo Nights a high-end nightclub, Max shows the bouncer his VIP card and the bouncer nods at them, letting them enter through the velvet ropes.
The music is pounding, flashing lights illuminate the dance floor and sky-high ceilings. A bartender spots Max immediately and gives him a nod of respect.
Max orders them some drinks and they sit in the VIP section looking out over the dance floor. The music moves their bodies and Sky starts to relax and let loose.
"Your sister is out of her mind by the way, your dad had me sign a prenuptial agreement. We divorce I get pretty much nothing. After we got married, he told me he was not going to put me in his will, so either way I get nothing." Sky says, finally opening up to Max about her situation.
Max leans in "Or you can divorce him and get everything you ever wanted." He whispers in Sky's ear, his breath warm on her neck. She feels a shiver run down her spine. Max's hazel eyes are filled with desire, and she can tell he is serious.
"What does that even mean Max, how can I divorce him and still get everything I ever wanted?" Sky asks, looking up into his eyes, her own curiosity piqued.
"We can talk about business stuff later, unlike my dad, I like to unwind and relax." Max grabs her wrist and guides her to the dance floor.
The hours melt away as Sky and Max lose themselves in the music and each other, the crowd fading into a blur of lights and body heat. They dance together, grinding and swaying, skin against skin. Max's hands roam over Sky's body, a quiet moan escaping her lips as he pulls her tight against him.
