Author's note
Part Four takes the story to a new setting. It is not necessary for you to have read Parts One, Two, and Three to enjoy Part Four, though it would probably help.
The Homelands will eventually consist of fifteen parts, broken up into three trilogies. The first three parts were set in Autumn. The next three will be set in Summer. Then there will be three each set in Spring and Winter. The final three will tie everything together.
As ever, if you have questions feel free to email me. Or leave a comment. Either way, I'll try to respond in a timely manner.
This is primarily an incest story, but it is also sci-fi/fantasy, and supernatural elements are not incidental to the plot. Additionally, many chapters will feature elements of other categories, particularly group sex and anal.
All sexual acts are consensual and involve parties who are at least eighteen years of age.

Scene 1
Setting: Aboard a yacht, in transit to the Homelands. The same day as the events in Chapter 4.
POV: Patty
#########################
Patty and her sister stood on the top deck of the yacht, sipping cocktails. She heard the steps creaking before she saw who it was that had come to join them.
Nick.
Her heart sank.
Not that she didn't like Nick. A lot. But she'd been hoping it was Kurt.
How long was that witch Aunt Zoey going to keep him to herself?
The brown bead skirt Patty wore over with her white bikini was quite flattering, if she did say so herself. She'd thought she'd get her cousin's attention with it. But every time she thought she'd finally severed the umbilical cord that kept him tied to his mother, she found out that she'd been mistaken. It had been the same story for the past few weeks. One day, things were going great. The next, he forgot to return her calls, or showed up at her house hours after he said he'd be there, stinking of sex.
What did Aunt Zoey have that she didn't?
Besides everything?
She sighed.
Veronica gave her a sympathetic smile and rubbed her arm. Patty wasn't sure how, but her sister knew exactly what she was thinking. Or maybe it wasn't such a mystery. She'd been moping around so pathetically half the time. Whenever she wasn't walking on air and humming a cheery tune to herself, that was. It couldn't have been that hard to guess, even if Veronica wasn't pretty perceptive.
"Ladies," Nick said, as he reached the top deck. "Mind if I join you?"
"Well, we
were
talking about you, but know that you've already interrupted us...," Veronica said. As she did, she gave Patty a light elbow to the ribs.
As if there was any real chance Patty would fail to recognize that as a joke.
Patty feigned a giggle, though she wasn't much in the mood for giggling.
"About how puny my arms are, compared to Eric's?" he asked, looking down at them.
Veronica nodded. "Yup. Exactly that."
"And how both he and Kurt have got a few inches on you," Patty added.
Veronica howled with laughter and slapped her arm. "Pattycakes!"
Nick feigned being stabbed with a knife.
Patty focused on her drink.
There was perhaps a reason they didn't expect her to make a joke like that. She wasn't typically inclined to engage in the same vicious mocking her siblings thought that they'd turned into an art form.
In fact, she wouldn't even have said it if not for the fact that she actually had been thinking more or less exactly that. The "more or less" part being that Eric, naturally, hadn't been anywhere near her thoughts.
Not that Nick was unattractive. He'd always taken pretty good care of himself. Especially for a book nerd. Even in his mortal disguise, he'd been pleasant enough to look at. The real Nick was really cute, and had a great body. Not too big, as Eric kinda was, nor too lean. A nice V-shaped torso, slender waist, ripped abs, and strong arms. If Patty was being honest with herself, she'd admit that Nick was better looking than Kurt.
But she liked her cousin's long, lean figure.
And she
really
liked the way he made her feel. The way he touched her. The way he stared into her eyes.
When she could get him away from his mother, at any rate.
"So, what's everyone else up to?" Patty asked.
"What do you think?" he asked. "Fucking like bunnies."
Patty sighed.
She was tempted to ask if that went for Kurt too, but of course it did. Nick, being no less astute and observant than Veronica, undoubtedly knew that there were only so many people she could have been asking about when she'd inquired after "everyone else." And she'd only feel that much more pathetic if she dropped all pretense of dignity by admitting that she wasn't just making conversation.
Veronica put a hand on Nick's arm, giving his supernaturally sculpted bicep a good squeeze. "Can think of worse ways to pass the time."
Patty gave her a look, then quickly stared out at the vast nothingness stretching away from them. The black sea that should have been a crystal blue ocean, if their yacht was like most others. The infinite emptiness that was entirely too easy for her to relate to.
"Of course, there'll be plenty of time for that over there too," Veronica added. "And it's tough to beat this view."
"Ain't that the truth," Nick said.
Patty smiled a little to herself. She felt bad about trying to keep the two of them from having fun just so there'd be someone to keep her company. Which was why she'd looked away as soon as she caught herself trying to lay a guilt trip on her sister. But she wasn't about to object to them staying there with her.
"Patty's concerned that Kurt might be a bit hung up on Aunt Zoey," Veronica said.
Patty gasped, whirling around. "Vee!"
"What? You are. And it's not like he hasn't figured it out," her sister said.
Which was true enough, she was sure. Nick wasn't the kind of guy to miss the obvious. But she still didn't need her sister airing her dirty laundry out in the open like that.
"I'm trying to tell her that she can get his attention if she tries hard enough," Veronica added, looking from Nick to Patty and then back to Nick again. "Wouldn't you agree?"
Nick cupped the back of Patty's head, tilting it forward so he could kiss her forehead. Then, in a soft voice, he said, "Of course. Our boy Kurt's always been a little slow. But he'll come round. He'd have to be blind not to."
"Stop," Patty said, slapping his midsection playfully.
Veronica was giving Nick a warm smile. But their brother didn't take his eyes off Patty. And for that alone, nevermind the actual compliment, she wanted to hug him.
"Seriously," he said. "I mean, sure, Aunt Zoey is nice enough to look at. At least, if you're into the Barbie doll type."
Patty laughed. "Right. And who goes for
that
."
Nick completely ignored her comment. "But you're pretty damn sexy yourself, Patty. And, believe it or not, guys care about other things too."
"At least some guys do," Veronica added.
The desire oozing from her sister's voice had a strange effect on Patty. On the one hand, she suddenly felt guilty, selfish even, taking up any of Nick's attention, when it could be put to better use. On the other hand, she felt a tingle between her legs and for just a moment wished that
she
could arouse such a reaction from Veronica.
"Some guys," Nick repeated, in a tone that suggested he hadn't picked up on the subtext.
As if that was possible.
More likely, he just refused to let Veronica derail his attempt to cheer Patty up.
He wasn't Kurt. But she could definitely see what Veronica saw in him.
"At any rate, Kurt's one of them," Nick continued. "And I bet you're exactly his type. He hasn't had as much time to get over the initial, juvenile, `wow, I can't believe I'm fucking my mother!' shit that us guys go through after we discover who and what we are. But he will. And when he does, he'll realize that the perfect woman for him isn't his mother, but is still pretty close to home."
