Johan parked his car in the garage and as he grabbed phone and keys and headed to the front door to his condo, his phone vibrated and the screen lit up. The caller's picture on the screen showed his twenty-four year old sister 'Grace.' The picture he took of her when both of them had dinner at their mom's two months back. She looked stunning. She was an attractive woman. She was attractive enough to make men dawdle. Anyone who looked at her would think, 'I'd love to have a piece of that.'
"Shit." He squeaked as he hadn't called his sister for over a month now. They usually talked at least once a week, but a shit load of work hadn't left him much time to think anything but the project he had been working on. 'This is going to be tough.' Reluctantly, he clicked the 'Accept' button.
"Hi Grace."
"Hello stranger." His sister sounded a bit annoyed, but sweet as always.
"Sorry sis, I couldn't call you for the past month or so. I just had too much going on at the office and had worked like a donkey." Judging her tone, he offered an apology without her asking for it.
"Yeah, Sure, Whatever. You probably were overly busy with your slutty girlfriends and forgot that you had a sister too." Grace complained. "I was wondering where you had disappeared to."
"I'm sorry Grace." He apologized once more. "And for the record, Sarah and I broke up over two months ago now." Sarah was his last girlfriend and he had dated her for three months.
"You don't sound sad for that matter." Grace laughed.
"No, I'm not mourning, if that's what you were trying to say. The break up was perhaps better for both of us. We weren't getting along anyway."
"My poor little brother! Now you'll have to find a new girl." She giggled and teased from the other end.
"Oh, come on Grace, Sarah and I weren't that serious. She was fun though. And sorry to destroy your hopes but I'm not planning to hook up with anyone for a while." Johan, being a twenty-one year old guy, spent too much time partying and with girls that that he hadn't given enough attention to the project he had been working on and that was the reason he had to divert all his energy to finish the work in time. It had been frantic month and it literally didn't leave him any time to mingle with girls. He really needed a break from dating to concentrate on his career.
"Tomorrow is Friday and so it's date night. Perfect for a single man. What are your plans?"
"No plans as of now. What about you?" He asked her in return.
"Same here. You probably know that I don't go out unless it is absolutely necessary or an all women night out." She giggled but he recognized a bit of sadness as she spoke.
"Grace... Girl... You should start going out. By the way, how long it has been since you broke up with Tom?" Without waiting for her answer he continued, "Almost six months and you are still singing the blues over that loser." What really concerned him was that his sister no longer seemed to date any man since she broke up with her boyfriend of three years.
"May be in due time, Johan." She grumbled.
"Man, tomorrow night, be ready. We're going out." He ordered. "I need to get out too. It has been a while for me since I went out. Almost two months."
"And what exactly are we supposed to do?" she giggled.
"Dine and dance is all I can promise." He sounded serious. He couldn't imagine how an attractive, young, smart and proper woman working in an office of an attorney has failed to attract any man's attention.
She knew that Johan loved her. She knew that he loved her much more than any man would ever love her. Growing up, they had been close siblings. After their parent's divorce and with their mother working two shifts to keep the house running, they had only each other to fall back on. Johan was the one who stayed up late every time she went out with her date. He was the sole person who took all the pain to cheer her up when she split up with Tom. It was because of him that she avoided going into a depression.
"Ok. If that is what you want. But don't expect me to be a fun partner." She joked.
"We will see." Was all he replied.
"Ok then, I'll pick you up by six tomorrow evening. Good night."
"Good night, little brother. Sleep tight." She kissed and hung up the phone.
Next day, when he reached Grace's house and honked, she came out running, jumping and grinning like a teenage girl on her first date. Before she went to the passenger side, she leaned into the driver side window and kissed Johan on his cheek. She wore a pink and gray flower print swing tank top which hung loose on her shoulders and fell just above her midriff showing her flat tummy and deep navel. She had a black bra underneath and he could clearly see the bra straps, cleavage and outlines of her ample breast peeking out from sides. The white skinny brushed cotton tapered stretch jeans pants she wore clung to her shapely legs and made her look taller than her actual height. It also made her ass look bigger than he thought she had. She had platform wedge sandals with pink straps; her brown hair, falling a little below her shoulders, swayed while she walked around the front of the car.
After she settled herself in the passenger seat, looking at him, moving the short, shiny curls from her face with her first finger, she said, "Hi, What's up?"
Unable to move his eyes from her beautiful face, Johan sat there unmoved. She looked different; different from her regular tidy appearance. She watched as his eyes drank her in, absorbing every detail of her body that he had never had a chance to really see before tonight. At last he set his eyes to her chest and sighed.
Feeling uncomfortable from her brother's eyes scanning her from top to bottom and finally resting on her chest, she asked. "What? Don't I look good?" He couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Stop laughing, you moron. You're making me nervous."
"I'm really sorry, Grace, but I can't wrap my head around the idea of you, shy little Grace, looking totally hot. I promise, no more laughing." But a teasing smile on his face told her otherwise.
"God, Johan, this is hard enough. Do I really look that bad?" she lowered her eyes to her chest to make sure she wasn't revealing too much before she spoke.
"If only you weren't my sister!"
