After that night on the patio, two anxiety-ridden weeks passed before David had another significant interaction with Jessie. During that time, he'd been constantly on guard with the young temptress, never daring to be alone in a room with her. Each time they'd spoken, he'd kept his distance.
One afternoon while Meredith was at a yoga class, Jessie came downstairs wearing a cut-off denim skirt that barely covered her pert ass. Her red string bikini top matched the recently added Penny Lane tattoo on her right hip.
Oh for the love of God,
David thought. He tried to ignore her as she opened the refrigerator door and bent over to pull out a bottle of iced tea. Her skirt rode up, revealing the bottom curve of her ass cheeks. David swallowed hard and shifted in his seat.
"You can stop staring, you know," Jessie said without turning around. She took a long drink from the bottle before finally turning to face him. She leaned against the counter, her long legs crossed at the ankles. A playful smirk spread across her face. "So... have you been avoiding me?"
David hesitated before answering. "No, of course not. I've just been busy." He could feel himself getting hard just from looking at her, and he willed himself to think of something else.
"Uh-huh." Jessie took another sip from the iced tea bottle and set it down on the counter. "If you say so." She pushed herself off the counter, the subtle jiggle of her breasts almost too much for David to take. She walked casually past him towards the stairs, but stopped briefly before ascending. "Oh by the way, I need a favor: I need you to drive me to Finn's tonight. You don't mind, do you?"
David tried frantically to think of an excuse, but his mind went blank. "Uh... okay."
"Great! I'll be ready around nine." With that, she turned and sashayed back up the stairs, her hips swaying indecently.
David let out a low groan as he watched her disappear.
By 9:25 p.m. David was starting to get impatient. He sat on the couch, flipping through channels, trying to distract himself from the growing nervousness in his stomach.
Get a grip man, it's just a drive to her boyfriend's place.
Finally, Jessie came down the stairs.
Meredith looked up from her book. Jessie was still wearing the same denim skirt as she had been earlier, however, she'd since paired it with a white fitted t-shirt that hugged her breasts tightly, emphasizing the hard nubs of her nipples underneath.
David watched his wife give her teenage daughter a once-over before shaking her head and turning her attention back to the page.
"Ready?" David asked, standing up from the couch.
Jessie nodded. She reached for her black faux-leather biker jacket and swung the front door open. "Yup, let's go."

Although Jessie turned the radio to an almost deafening level on the drive to Finn's, David welcomed the disruption, as it prevented any meaningful conversation from starting. He tried his best not to glance toward the passenger seat, but Jessie made it difficult as she swayed in time to a profanity-laced Cardi B song.
Who listens to this shit?
he thought to himself. He glanced over briefly and saw her hands gesturing in the air, bracelets jingling and skirt riding up her thighs. The feeling that had swelled in his groin earlier returned tenfold.
"It's just up here," Jessie shouted over the music. "Turn left at the next street."
It suddenly dawned on David the decrepit state of the neighborhood they were driving through. Many of the apartment buildings looked run-down, and the occasional house that lined the street looked uninhabited. Several even had boarded up windows and busted-open doorways. Graffiti covered the brick walls of several buildings and broken beer bottles littered the sidewalks.
Finn's building was a tall, skinny apartment complex that looked like it was on its last legs. David steered into the crumbling parking lot.
"Are you sure this is where he lives, Jessie?" he asked.
Jessie leaned forward and looked up through the windshield at the building. "Yeah, this is the place. He's on the fifth floor." She unbuckled her seatbelt, opened the car door, then looked back over her shoulder at him. "Want to come in?"
"Well, no," David said, "not really." He glanced around the parking lot nervously. "But yeah, I should probably walk you up."
As they walked toward the building, Jessie let her hand brush against David's. He pretended not to notice, but his heart skipped a beat. When they saw the out-of-service sign on the elevator, Jessie let out a dramatic sigh. "Fuck sakes," she said, turning to the stairwell. "I'm going to be all sweaty." David watched her ass swish beneath her skirt as they started the climb.
By the time they'd made it to the fifth floor, David was winded and perspiring. Jessie seemed unfazed, her breathing regular and steady. She led him down the dim corridor, stopping outside a blue door with peeling paint. The muffled sound of music carried through the thin walls. Jessie knocked on the door and waited.
After a few moments, the door swung open.
"Hey baby," Jessie said, wrapping her arms around Finn's neck and pulling him in for a deep, sloppy kiss.
"Mmm, you look good," he said, stepping back and looking her up and down.
