FAMILY SURPRISE
Al was arriving home from college for the summer. He was looking forward to seeing his family again. He had not been back home from school at all this school year as his studies were intense. It would be nice to just relax and enjoy some peace and quiet without having to study and draft papers.
He had from the end of May until the middle of August to relax. He had already enrolled in his classes for his junior year and was ready to visit his friends at home.
Al's family consisted of his mother Julie, a 40-year-old housewife. She was 5'6" tall with shoulder length red hair. She was not fat but did carry a little bit of weight. The supper was a salad, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious as usual as his mother is a fantastic cook. During dinner Al and his sisters updated their mom, dad, and grandma on how college was.
When Al was asked if he had a girlfriend, he said he did not have time for a gf because of his studies. With that statement his sisters started to smile, and his grandma said, "I am surprised that a young stud like you does not have girls hanging on you all the time."
"Grandma, right now I need to complete my studies before I get involved with girls. I am young and have plenty of time for girls in my future."
"If I were your age I would be chasing after you. You may not know this, but you are a stud. What do the two of you think, April and May, is your brother a hottie or not?"
The twins looked at their grandma and at the same time, "grandma, Al is our brother, and it would not be right for us to think of him as a hottie. As Al was sitting there, he thought about where his grandma was going to stay. They had three bedrooms in the house. His mom and dad's, his sisters and his. "I have a question, since we only have three bedrooms, where will grandma sleep?"
His mom spoke up, "we thought that grandma would take your room, and you would sleep in the family room downstairs on the sofa bed. We bought a new mattress for it."
"I am not sure I like that idea but what other choice do I have. I will gather what clothes I can and assume residence in the dungeon."
Grandma smiled and said, "You do not have to remove your clothes from the room. You can leave them there and get what you need each night and morning, or I can just sleep on the sofa bed."
"Grandma, you take my room. We will work out something about my clothes and shower scheduling. I am going to get my bed ready then I am going to take a shower. I am tired from the long drive. I will see all of you in the morning."
Al went to his room and gathered some clothes for sleeping in and for in the morning. He stripped off what he had on and went into the bathroom to shower. When he was finished, he stepped out of the shower and dried off with the towel. He stepped out of the bathroom without thinking and there, sitting on the bed, was his grandma. He stepped back into the bathroom and closed the door.
"Sorry grandma, I did not think about the new arrangements for the house. He wrapped the towel around his waist and opened the door. Can you hand me the clothes on the bed so I can get dressed and then I will go down to the basement."
