South India was experiencing one of hottest summers in the past few decades and the sun has already risen and started to shine through the curtains. It was already hot and humid inside and outside of the household when Lakshmi realised it was time to get up from her slumber. Lakshmi was in her mid sixties and she's the eldest of the family who lived with her daughter and granddaughters.

Lakshmi was clad in her cotton saree and tied her long hair into a bun as headed towards the kitchen. Manju, her daughter who was in her mid-forties, was the next to get up from sleep and she too had long hair just like her mother which fell down up to her back.
