Jane had just gotten out of the shower when she heard the doorbell ring.
"Shit," she said. "Who's showing up this early?"
She grabbed a towel and dried herself as fast as she could. The doorbell rang a couple more times, and she guessed it was her cousin Susan, who was always early.
She opened the bathroom door and yelled as loud as she could, "GIVE ME A MOMENT, I'LL BE RIGHT THERE!"
She hastily wrapped the towel around her body and ran downstairs. The doorbell rang again, which annoyed her.
"Dammit, Susanβ" she said as she opened the front door.
Standing before her was her cousin, Tom. He was wearing a new pair of sneakers, jeans, a black T-shirt with a band logo, and his brown sport jacket, and in his right hand he was holding a 12-pack case of beer. His eyes shot wide open when he saw Jane standing there with her hair still wet and the towel barely covering her breasts.
"Oh, Tom, I'm sorry," she said. "I thought you were Susan. Sometimes she comes early."
"'No problem," he said. "I just thought I'd stop by early to help you set up. I sent you a text about it, but I guess you were in the shower."
"Yes, I just got out when I heard the doorbell. Come on in and make yourself at home. I'm just going to run back upstairs to throw something on and fix myself up."
She let Tom in and ran up to her bedroom and closed the door. Tom walked into the kitchen and put the case of beer on the floor next to the snack table. His mind was still on how Jane looked when she opened the door. He knew it was wrong to think about his cousin like that, but he couldn't help it. Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, he hadn't personally seen a naked woman that wasn't on his laptop in almost a year. Jane wasn't completely naked, but it was close enough for him.
He always thought Jane was an attractive woman. She had long black hair, great legs, and good-sized breasts. He had seen her in bikinis many times, from family events to the beach or pool parties, and guessed they had to be at least 36D's.
Realizing where his thoughts were going, he grabbed one of the beers and turned on the TV for the pregame show for a much-needed distraction. Despite how his last went, he didn't want to start perving on his own cousin.
Jane had a ton of clothes on her bed. She rummaged through them and picked out a simple outfit to wear for the night. She put on a nice pair of jeans and a low-cut pink t-shirt with the name of her favorite basketball team on it. The bra she wore pushed up her breasts a little to show a little cleavage on top of her shirt.
The way she looked in her shirt got her thinking of how she had just caught Tom looking at her breasts earlier. She giggled a little, thinking about what might've been going on in his mind. She didn't call him out on it because she didn't want to embarrass him. Also, because she enjoyed it a little, since she hadn't been seen noticed by many men in the last year of social distancing. Even though he was her cousin, it gave her a little thrill to have that kind of attention, as brief as it was.
By the time she got downstairs, several of the other guests had already shown up. They were all her cousins, most of whom she hadn't seen in a year because of the pandemic. She greeted and hugged them all. Besides Tom, her cousins who came included Susan, James, Todd, Lauren, and Zach.
They came tonight for the first time to watch a basketball game that has playoff contention for their favorite team. For most of them, they had barely been out anywhere since the pandemic started, and when things began to get better, they discussed in group chats how they could get together again. They chose Jane's house because her parents were away for the weekend and she had an awesome game room they could hang out in after the game.
They spent some time catching up and discussing what they were doing during the pandemic, especially what shows they binge watched. When the game started, they gathered around the living room and spent the next couple of hours watching it. They had a lot of fun yelling at the TV when the referees made some bad calls and cheering when their team scored. When their team won in spectacular fashion, everyone celebrated.
"That was an awesome game," said Susan.
"I know, it was amazing," replied Jane. "They were all over the place, and the other team and the other team couldn't touch him."
"I won a whole grand on this," said James.
Afterwards, they sat around, finishing off their beer before heading to the game room in the basement to continue their fun. Jane's father set up a game room during the pandemic. The room was recarpeted, and a small bar was installed in the corner. The room had a pool table, a dart board, a poker table, a foosball table, and two arcade games.
Everyone split up and picked their own game to play. At first, Tom was enjoying the mortal combat arcade game, but soon went off to join Todd in a dart game, which he immediately started to lose at. He later teamed up with James against Susan and Lauren in some pool games. They were winning, until Susan left, and Jane took her place and showed off her skills.
"When did you get so good at this?" asked James.
Jane replied, "I spent the last year here mostly playing with my father since I was the only other person he could play with."
They played a few more times, with Jane and Lauren winning two out of three, but in very close games.
Eventually, Zach took over for James, and Tom began winning again against the girls.
"This reminds me of the games we used to play in college. Remember those?" Zach whispered to Tom.
"I remember," said Tom, holding back a laugh.
"Do you think the girls would go for playing those games?"
"Don't even think about asking them," said Tom, looking a little embarrassed.
"Why not?"
"They're our cousins," said Tom.
"That's what makes it so exciting."
Jane was watching them whispering to each other the whole time and was getting suspicious.
"What are you two dummies whispering about?" asked Jane.
"We're just strategizing," Zach replied.
Tom thought back to how he and Zach were in college together for the last couple of years and how much fun they had at the frat parties. One of the things they did for fun at those parties was how to get women naked in the games they played.
They played a few more games of pool before they split up and played other games in the room. Several hours later, the party began to die down, and they all left one by one. Tom was the only one who decided to stick around afterwards to help Jane clean up.
They cleaned up pretty fast and went back down to the game room with a couple of the remaining beers and played darts against each other.
"Thanks for sticking around," said Jane as she threw her next dart, hitting the board close to the bullseye.
"No problem," Tom replied.
"So, what were you and Zach whispering about?" she asked.
"Like he said, we were strategizing."
