Part 1
Lily cupped her hand over her mouth as she watched the news on a Monday morning. Zack arrived in the front room with his backpack hanging on one shoulder.
"What's going on?" He asked.
Though Lily didn't need to tell him. The news stated that there would be a nationwide lockdown and that people shouldn't leave there homes unless absolutely necessary.
"Does that mean no school?" Zack smiled.
"Zack! This isn't funny. This is serious." Lily said through gritted teeth.
Boy her brother could be annoying. There happened to be a nationwide lockdown due to a very contagious virus that could prove to be deadly and all Zack cares about is if he has to go to school or not.
"Is that a yes?..." He asked, clearly unbothered by the situation.
Lily ignored him and instead called for their mother. Nancy came down from her bedroom just as she was finished getting dressed for work.
"Mom, look!" She said.
Nancy studied the television screen and shook her head in disbelief. She too cupped a hand to her mouth out of fear of what was happening.
"Am I the only one that doesn't see a problem here?" Zack asked.
Nancy and Lily turned to look at him. Their stare gave him a sense of disgust and he decided then that he better not push the situation.
"I need to call my boss." Nancy said immediately.
"You can't seriously be considering going to work?" Lily asked.
Nancy held up a finger as her boss answered the phone. They both did their best to Listen into the conversation, but all they could make out was muffled digital sounds.
After nodding her head for a few minutes and repeating the words; "Okay. Yup. Gotcha." a few times, she eventually hung up the phone.
"What did he say?" Zack asked, now taking a seat, leaving his school bag on the floor.
"I need you two to sit down." She said.
Lily in her panicked state, took to the couch immediately. Zack having already been seated. Leant back and waited for what she had to say.
"Listen. This isn't going to be easy to understand, but I need to leave." She said.
"What?" Zack asked, suddenly alarmed.
"Leave? Where to?" Lily stood, tears now formed in her eyes.
"As you know. My job pays well and for it to continue to pay me at all, I must leave and travel to New York. The banks are going to take a big hit because of all of this. My boss needs me at the bureau to keep on top of things." She said, calmly.
"New York! Mom that's the other side of the country?!" Zack questioned.
Nancy ushered him to sit down and continued.
"I know this seems scary but trust me, you will be fine. I had a feeling something like this would happen. Just follow the government protocol and don't go out unless you have to. I'll leave behind plenty of money for food and takeaways." She smiled lovingly at them.
"How long will you be away for?" Lily asked, whilst wiping away a lonely tear from her cheek.
"I'm not sure. Weeks, maybe months."
Nancy looked down at her two children. She could have used their father in this situation. Hadn't it been for his untimely death, he could have helped out a lot right about now.
She looked up to the ceiling as if to find his presence.
"But we're only eighteen? How are we supposed to live on our own?" Zack asked, now realizing just how much his mom did for him.
A large list of potential house chores came to mind. He'd now have to do his own washing, take out the trash, clean the place, pay bills and go shopping for food... it all felt a bit much.
"I know this isn't ideal but if I don't go to New York I'll lose my job. I'm sure this will all blow over in a matter of weeks and we can return to life as normal but until then, Lily..." she said, to her young daughter, "you're in charge."
Zack thought that he was about to faint. "She's what?"
Lily didn't seem to react to this. Previously this newfound authority would have delighted her. However, right now she was battling many emotions in her head. She wanted to cry. But knew that she would look pathetic if she did. She wiped away a few more tears and kept a brave face.
"Okay." She sniffed.
"Wait a minute. I'm eighteen?" He asked, in protest.
"And very immature." His mother said, harshly.
"So?..." He scowled.
"So, that means Lily is in charge as I can count on her to keep the place running."
Nancy leaned over and brought her son in for a hug. He hugged her against his will, still frustrated by the news of Lily being in charge.
"I must get ready and pack my things. I suspect that he will want me to fly today."
With that, Nancy returned to her room to pack her things. Lily and Zack followed, Lily held her mother, while Zack helped close her heavy suitcase. Zack then drove them to the airport and helped his mother out of the car with her heavy luggage.
Lily wrapped her arms around Nancy and held her tightly for a few moments. Zack thought he could see a glimmer of wetness in his mother's eyes. He'd never seen her cry before. Even Zack felt a little emotional.
Lily on the other hand was hysterical. Tear marks stained her blushed cheeks and she wiped her face with her cardigan sleeve relentlessly.
"I love you, Mom." Zack said, holding her tight before letting her go.
"And I love you guys too. Now please, do as your sister says and try not to burn the place down while I'm gone." She smiled.
Nancy hooked the luggage handle and turned on her heels towards the departure lounge, leaving her kids alone to fend for themselves.
"What now?" Zack asked.
"We go home..." Lily sniffed.
Zack wasn't the best when it came to confronting people, especially not his sister. Ever since turning eighteen things had become rather awkward between them. Lily had grown up so fast over the last year or two. She now clearly displayed two medium-sized breasts that seemed to cling strongly to her upper chest.
Her hips had widened despite her slender frame and her ass had almost doubled in size. He often caught himself looking at her in ways a brother should never look at his sister. But how could he help himself? He was a virgin after all.
Lily happened to top the 'Fuck First' list that had run the rounds throughout the school's social groups. Many of the guys his age sought after her and she had to do her fair share of rejections since the previous summer vacation.
Her hair was much like his own. Fine and fair. A lot more blonde than he was, her hair glimmered beneath the sun, only enhanced by the look of her sun-kissed skin. She tanned well and her blue eyes seemed to glow brighter during the summer months.
Zack wasn't the type of guy to top a fuck list. He wasn't all that tall, nor was he very muscular. In fairness, since their last vacation he had worked hard with the weights in his bedroom and he was starting to notice small improvements in the size of his arms.
Zack tanned just as well as Lily, making his hair look more of a lighter brown than a shimmering blonde. He shared her blue eyes given to him by their beloved father. Most siblings did indeed look alike, yet despite their similarities, a lot of people mistook Lily for Zack's girlfriend.
It often grossed him out when this happened as of course, she was his sister. However, ever since turning eighteen, he found himself not caring as much whenever she was mistaken for his partner. The thought intrigued him.
Lily slumped herself down on the couch and Zack joined her. The news repeated the quarantine headlines before Zack hastily changed the channel.
"Looks like summer vacation has come early this year." Zack smirked.
"Is that seriously all you care about?" She asked, turning to look at him.
"What do you mean?" He asked stupidly.
"Mom is flying halfway across the country, I will most likely have to resit my exams and you will... well you will do what you always do. Won't you?" She sneered.
"And what is that?" He asked, feeling offended.
"Play that stupid computer game of yours!"
"Well yeah? What's wrong with that? It's not like I was going to pass my exams this year anyway. If you ask me, covid has done me a favor!" Zack raised his voice.
Lily stood from the couch out of pure rage and disgust. "Listen here, you selfish bastard! This quarantine may change the very world that we live in, mom is in danger in New York with the virus going around and all you want to do is level up on some stupid game!"
Zack leaned back in his chair, not realizing how upset he had made her. Lily was crying now. She'd never been without her mom either. She was left in charge, to undoubtedly do everything on her own. He knew then that she was scared.
"Lily.. I..." He started.
"Just go! If you want to play your games then leave. I don't want to see you!" She cried.
Feeling awkward and very much ashamed,
Zack stood and slipped out of the front room. He did as she had predicted. He lost himself in his video game for hours on end. Hours turned into days and days frankly turned into weeks. Before long, two weeks had passed and still he hadn't worked up the courage to apologize to Lily.
As the weeks went on, he felt his guilt grow. He was about to go find her when he heard a knock at his bedroom door.
"Come in." He coughed.
The door creaked open and Lily's head appeared. "Can we talk?"
"Sure." He said, eagerly.
Lily entered the room and shut the door behind herself. Without saying a word she threw herself into his arms and embraced him in a tight hug. Taken aback, Zack did not wrap his arms around her out of shock. She'd never hugged him before, not since they were little.
He couldn't help but feel her soft breasts press firmly into his chest as she held him. Her slender arms wrapped around his neck and she buried her face into his shoulder. He felt her cry against him and he figured then that he best hold her.
Zack let his arms fold around his sister's back and he held her tightly, actually enjoying the feeling of her body against his. For a while they held each other and he let her cry. He could smell the strong scent of her conditioner as her semi-wet hair clung to his neck.
He figured she must have not been long out of the shower. With his head hanging over her shoulder, he did something he hadn't planned on doing. He looked down at Lily's ass.
Lily had once been as flat as a surfboard. However, now she was as curvy as most women. Still in her teens, she kept her slender frame. Despite this, the curves came through for her in all the right places. His eyes traveled over the small ridge of her lower back and watched her body round into two firm cheeks.
She wore her tight volleyball shorts which only made matters worse for him. Because for the first time in his entire life, his sister was turning him on. He felt his cock slowly begin to thicken beneath his pants. Suddenly aware of how badly this could go, Zack separated himself from her rather abruptly.
"What's wrong?" She asked, wiping away her many tears.
"Nothing! Just that, erm... that I'm... erm..."
It was then that Lily realized. All she had to do was look down. Her brother's crotch was quite swollen beneath the cotton fabric of his jogging bottoms. The thick outline of what must have been Zack's penis was clearly visible against the grey materiel. Her eyes widened like saucers and yet again her hand came up to cup her gaping mouth.
Zack, now noticing her reaction, shifted his hand to cover his nether region. "It's not what you think..." He blurted out.
