After Nancy and Nina left for their appointment I felt empty inside. I needed a plan; one that would keep Nancy and the momentum on my side; but my mind was cluttered with thoughts. What I really needed was some fresh air, move around, and maybe something would come to me.
The lake, I thought, it's the perfect place to clear my head. I could catch a few fish and surprise her with a late lunch. That would surely put her in a good mood.
The gated community was built on a huge lake and it was basically in my backyard. I made my way down to the boathouse, grabbed my gear, and rowed my way out a ways.
I leaned back in my boat and stared at the sky for some time until I finally cast my line. It was an extremely good day, I caught thirteen fish and threw back ten. I figured I would prepare and cook three in case Nina wanted to stay and have lunch with us. I rowed back in and headed toward the house.
"Hi," I heard; a girl's voice coming from across the waist high stone wall.
What should I do; any interaction with the neighbors puts my relationship with Nancy in jeopardy.
"Wait up," she called out.
I ignored her and kept walking.
"Kevin, wait up," she yelled.
What the fuck; how did she know my name? I asked myself. Now I have to acknowledge her so I stopped, turned and said hi.
She was absolutely beautiful, long black hair that blew gingerly in the light breeze, deep blue eyes, and close to the same build as Nancy. She wore a black bikini with a one string top that disappeared behind her back and reminded me of the Lone Ranger's mask but without the peep holes, and a short black mesh skirt that covered her hips.
"I'm Brenda," she announced giggling as my eyes gave away my approval.
"Kevin," I said snapping out of my trance.
"I know," she giggled. "You're mom told me all about you before you arrived."
"Really," I remarked wondering what and how much Nancy had told her about me.
"Don't worry it was nothing bad but she did brag about you're good looks and swimming skills," she said.
"Thanks," I told her still wondering how much she actually knew about me.
"I saw you out on the lake," she said changing the focus.
"Yeah, I was just catching a few fish for lunch,"
I told her as I held up the three I caught.
"Oh, I love fish," she said excitedly. "But...I've never actually caught any," she added shrugging her shoulders.
"It's really not that difficult," I disclosed.
"Maybe you can show me one day," she said.
Alright," I said contradicting my own judgments.
"Really, when?" she asked smiling and excited.
"Well..." I started and a little shocked.
"Sorry, it's just that I've never fished before and may never get another chance," she confessed.
"I understand," I told her.
"Great!" she exclaimed standing there smiling at me. "So you'll teach me?" she asked.
"How old are you?" I asked curiously.
"Why?"
"I don't want your father coming after me with a shotgun if I took out an underage girl on a sea voyage without written consent," I pressed. The last thing I needed in my life was some crazy parent accusing me of molesting a minor.
She smiled, "I'm nineteen...I'm attending college." "Satisfied?" she asked giggling.
"Okay, I'll take you out on the lake and teach you how to fish," I said.
"You think you'll do it this summer?" she asked raising her shoulders and smirking.
"Sure, this week, maybe next," I answered.
"You'll come over and get me then?"
"Sure, I'll come over and get you."
"Then it's a date," she stated happily.
"Sure," I said though I didn't mean an actual date.
"Okay then," she said as she turned and walked away.
I watched as Brenda walked away as any male would. She turned and smiled and I acknowledged her with a wave and a smile of my own. I still couldn't help wondering what she knew about me.
Now in the kitchen I prepped the fish for a late lunch. Once I was done with the fish I started on a fresh garden salad with vegetables Nancy picked up from the local farmer's market.
Time passed by quickly and before I knew it they were home.
"Back here," I shouted as I heard the chime of
the door and bright laughter.
"Kevin," Nina shouted.
I walked around the island and met them at the other end of the kitchen.
"Well what do you think?" Nancy asked.
Nancy was beautiful in all facets of the imagination; I couldn't take my eyes off of her.
"He's not saying anything; maybe he's gay," Nina remarked as I just stared.
"He's not gay," Nancy giggled.
"You're beautiful...um...the both of you," I finally said trying not to give Nancy too much of my attention.
"Well, you must be excited to see one of us...unless you're into threesomes," she remarked looking downward toward my trunks.
"Nina!" Nancy exclaimed tapping Nina lightly on her arm.
"Well...it's hard, no pun intended, not to notice; but I've never seen him that excited to see me before," she said pushing the envelope as she looked me over.
"Nina!" Nancy repeated.
"No common blood flows through our veins. I can have my way with him; but you on the other hand...you better behave yourself," she directed her remark toward Nancy.
I don't think Nina knew about our relationship but I could tell her remark made Nancy a bit nervous.
"It's just a shame it has to go to waste," she said continuing to push the subject.
