I thought I heard sounds, somewhere in the distance. I thought I was dreaming. I wasn't sure where I was. I opened my eyes to narrow slits and realized it was morning. There was a light on, daylight seeped from around the drapes and the shower was running. It dawned on me that I was in hotel room, Teddy's hotel room. Katie and I were still wrapped around each other and the other bed was empty. The door to the room was closing. Teddy had just stepped in with his hands full. He walked to the table and set his things down. He moved over to the bed where I lay, all entwined with Katie, and knelt down. "Good morning," he whispered.
"Hey you," Katie replied. Teddy moved close and kissed her. He lingered with his lips to hers. I reached over Katie and roughed Teddy's hair. He leaned over Kate and kissed me.
"Mornin' Les," he said, "I've got coffee."
"You're the best, Baby Brother." Teddy kissed me again. Katie grabbed his face and pulled him to hers for another kiss. I reached up to drag him into bed with us, but he escaped my grasp.
"Coffee's gettin' cold, ladies," Teddy called as he walked to table. Katie and I rolled to face one another and gazed into each others eyes. We kissed tenderly and my heart melted. We heard the shower water stop and we kissed again. I pulled Katie's naked body close to mine. The warmth and softness of her skin was incredible. There was no doubt in my mind, as I looked at Katie's face, that I was falling in love. She is not a child any longer. She had been so beautiful when she was young. Now with the lines in her face and the character in her eyes, she is even more so. She has a face of timeless, classic beauty. Its not only her physical attributes that I love: we share so much, in our hearts and our souls.
We heard the bathroom door open and turned to see Nikki emerge from a cloud of steam. She was wrapped in just a towel, her damp tresses framed her gorgeous face. She was a vision. We watched as Teddy rose to his feet and embraced her. Their kiss was a thing of beauty.
Katie pulled away from me, crawled out of bed, found my top, slipped it on and stumbled to the table. I watched her swing that gorgeous ass of hers as she moved across the floor. I sat up in bed and watched Teddy, with Nikki on his lap and Katie sip their coffee in silence. Katie mixed some cream and sugar in a cup of coffee and brought it to me. She sat on the edge of the bed and whispered, "Did you mean all those things you said last?"
"I can't remember everything I said last night," I replied, "I do love you, if that's what you mean."
"Yeah, that stuff."
I leaned close to her and whispered, "Yeah Katie, I'm falling in love with you. Is that going to be a problem?"
"I don't know. I don't want it to be."
"Then we wont let it be. It's gonna be OK. I promise."
Katie looked at me and gave me a small, sweet smile and kissed the tip of my nose. "I love you, Les," she whispered. She rose from the bed and headed for the bathroom. She paused at the door, took off my top and tossed it on the bed. I sipped my coffee and watched Ted and Nikki cuddle. I looked back on the night before and my head began to throb.
Nikki stood up and began to gather her clothes. I pondered my feelings for Kate and wondered where it all my lead. My head throbbed a little harder and Teddy stepped up beside me with a couple of aspirin in one hand and a glass of water in the other. "Are you reading my mind?" I asked him.
"As always," he said. He sat on the edge of the bed. "Quite a night, huh?"
