CHAPTER 4
The Lesson
The meal was like nothing else Morena had ever experienced. Her belly was filled to the brim with a variety of food she couldn't believe. Everyone else had sat around the long table as if it was just another day, but Morena struggled to refrain from stacking her plate to the ceiling. Fresh fruits and greens with wonderfully seasoned meats had been washed down by wines like nothing she had ever tasted.
Even the company was pleasantly filling. The steward still showed his disdain, but everyone else seemed charming and down-to-earth despite being nobility. Leon, the Guardmaster, was particularly eye-catching with his crisp dirty-blonde hair and full beard, which led one's eyes to his impressive frame of pure muscle. To her shock, she had caught him looking at her more than once.
She did her best to hide her blushing by laughing at King Spruce, who surprisingly proved to be quite the comedian. The room periodically broke out into bursts of laughter even as Naela rolled her eyes in embarrassment for her father. Morena had thought she would always have to be on her best behavior in the castle, so this casual atmosphere was a very pleasant surprise.
Bellies filled and the room emptied over time, and Morena felt as relaxed as she had been since her training days. She began chatting with Naela now that the room was quiet enough to do so, and they explored their shared interest in literature. They took turns setting elaborate mental stages of their favorite stories to convince the other to read it too, and before long they each had a list of books to give to the other.
King Spruce interjected a few times with his own suggestions, but his interests were more historical than fiction. Morena had genuine interest in that too, but Naela was quick to remind him that she was already living through enough history, so fiction and fairy-tales were a nice change of pace.
The three talked and laughed until the room was clear and the sky settled into a late-afternoon blue. It was incredible. Ori was usually all-business, so Morena had never really just socialized with friendly people before.
That led to some conundrums about her current situation though. Even though she'd only just met Naela, she felt a real connection. Was it just friendship, or more? Morena didn't really have the frame of reference to answer that question, but she knew she liked it, whatever it was.
Her state of relaxation was at an all-time high, but so was her exhaustion. She had been trying to suppress it, but that was now impossible with the largest meal she'd ever had sitting in her belly. A yawn finally betrayed her, and King Spruce took that as a sign to end the long meal.
"Well, this has been lovely, but I do need to adjust the tax codes before the morning. Morena, I may have offered to pay you even more had I known it would have also bought us such lovely company! I hope you rest well, and of course all common areas are open to you. If any guard gives you trouble don't hesitate to find me." King Spruce said as he got up.
There was a brief awkward pause as he had referenced Morena's employment, and all that implied, but nonetheless she thanked him and Naela began guiding Morena to the guest bedroom.
"I'm really looking forward to tomorrow." Naela said as they walked the quiet halls, "Can I at least get a sneak peek at what we'll be doing?"
Morena had in fact not planned anything yet. Everything was still happening so fast, so she really just needed some time to think.
"Not yet." She said, smiling, "Your response was a little more extreme than I predicted, so I need to make some adjustments to my plans. Let's plan for midday tomorrow, ok?"
Naela agreed, and said goodnight as she left Morena at her new bedroom.
Morena immediately found the bed, and it was like laying on a cloud. Her body sunk into it just enough to feel like she was floating, but not smothered. She thought that she'd find sleep instantly, but the stress of her self-imposed deadline of noon tomorrow wouldn't yield to sleep.
Eventually the mental turmoil out-did the blissful comfort, and Morena was forced to postpone her sleep. She had already decided that the lips and mouth were the next area she should target. The problem was that she couldn't exactly find anyone to kiss in her forest shack, so it was the only part of her own body that she hadn't experimented with.
That led her to a new revelation though. Tomorrow she'd actually get to share her first kiss with someone as special as Naela, and that gave her the energy she needed to force herself out of bed.
She went to the mirror, next to which Spruce had the foresight to have a lectern placed for her spellbook. She set the heavy book down and began undressing. She didn't necessarily
need
to for this spell, but she knew well enough where the night was likely going to lead her. She noted as she pulled her panties down that she was still damp, and quite sensitive. Early on in her experiments she had tried to get herself off before performing spells so she could think clearly, but it had actually become clear to her that being turned on helped her be more in tune with her body and magic, with results closer to what she wanted.
As she looked into the mirror, she couldn't help but compare herself to Naela. Morena's breasts were a little smaller, her frame a little less shapely, and her skin a little less smooth. Still, if Morena's intense attraction to Naela was any indication, it reaffirmed that Morena herself must also be quite attractive. The glances from the Head Guard seemed to support that.
She broke off from her thoughts as her tiredness was returning, and made herself focus. She raised her wand and used the mirror to direct it at her own mouth, only to realize the obvious fact that she wouldn't be able to aim it at her lips and tongue if she was also speaking incantations. "
I guess I have to do it silently then
." she thought with a sigh. She had practiced that before, but she always found she had a harder time dialing in the result, and more often than not it was too weak.
She decided that she better up the sensitivity even further to counter this, and opened her mouth as she focused her dwindling energy on clearly stating the incantations in her head. In return, a soft glow touched her lips first, and then her tongue as she finished.
Immediately, she could feel the difference, and slowly ran her tongue along her lips, gasping as she did.
