"Commander, Ensign please take a seat there are a few things that we would like some answers too. Since you are the only two that we have really had any interactions with you two are it. "Commander, why was I kept here for four months until Russ was brought aboard?" She asked trying to keep any resentment out of her voice.

"Miss Akira, we had trouble tracking Russ down. We are still working on why that is. It may have something to do with his location. That is my guess, but I am not sure."

This evening I would like to take a tour around this system looking at the planets."

"Yes Sire I will get on that immediately, what time would you like to leave?"

"As soon as you are ready Commander."

"Sire you will have to be on the bridge before we can leave."

"Akira would you like to join me on the bridge this will be a unique trip." Russ was excited about getting to see the other planets.

As Russ left his quarters, he noticed there were now two guards following him. Entering the bridge with Akira behind him, he saw that every station was occupied. He noticed that the man who had brought his controller was at what appeared to be a communications station. "Commander a word please." He turned away walking to the other side of the bridge.

"Yes Sire is there a problem?" The commander asked worried.

"The man at the comms station is the one that brought my com controller last night. He was rather on the rude side and did not seem like he wanted to be close to me for some reason."

"Sigma tau delta delta enact. Guards protect the King." Lt. Commander Grady cried out loud. Beams of light surrounded Russ and Akira, as the guards rushed in. Lt. Jackson turned firing at Russ, hitting the beam of light. Resetting something on his weapon, he turned it towards Akira.

"Protect Akira." Russ exclaimed. The commander dove to get between Akira and Lt. Jackson.

Lt. Jackson reversed his turn to fire back at Russ, one of the guards jumped in front of Russ at the last second taking the hit. The other guard shot Lt. Jackson immobilizing him.

"Ensign Katy, to the bridge immediately." Lt. Commander Grady called out. "Sire, Akira do not move."

Katy came rushing onto the bridge, followed by six more guards. All of them were heavily armored with weapons drawn. Seeing the protective screens around Russ and Akira. "What happened here?" She demanded in full security mode.

The commander spoke saying that Lt. Jackson was an assassin and was the one that gave the communicators to the King and his second.

As the Lt. Commander explained the look on Katy's face went from anger to an intense rage. "Sire, where is the controller that piece of trash brought you."

"He told me that it would bond to my skin and I should wear it under the body suit." Russ answered.

"That is what he told me also." Akira announced.

"Sire, lady Akira please do not move. I will take care of this." Katy had touched a panel on her arm brace. As another panel appeared, her fingers were moving too fast for Russ to see what she was doing. Another shaft of light engulfed them, when it blinked out both Russ and Akira was nude. The controllers were at their feet.

"Cancel the sigma emergency." The Lt. Commander announced.

Turning to them Katy asked with tears in her eyes. "Sire, are you alright?" She wasn't sure if she could live with either of them being hurt.

"Yes Katy I am fine. I think Akira is also, just frightened."

"No Russ I am not frightened, I am super pissed off. Is that man still alive? If so he won't be for long." She said as she started toward Lt. Jackson. Her movements indicated that she was going to tear him into small pieces.

"Miss Akira, please let me handle this." Looking towards Jackson. "You I will deal with soon enough." The coldness coming from her voice could have flash frozen a sun.

"How long will it take you to do whatever is needed to ensure that this does not happen again? I will not tolerate any attempt on Russ's life for any reason." There was a fire in Akira's eyes as she said that. The fact that it was said in a low voice made the threat even more menacing.

"Yes my Lady Akira. I will personally see to the royal communicators myself. No one will touch them other than the two of you, this I promise." Katy announced in a determined voice.

"Ensign Katy, thank you for your service. Along with both the guards and the Commander, Akira and I owe our lives to you." Russ said humbled by the display of their people. "What are you going to do with Jackson? Can he be salvaged? I have already lost one, and even with his action if he can be salvaged that would help us wouldn't it?"

"Katy, would it be possible to get Akira and I something to wear?" Russ had glanced to see how Akira was doing. He felt his arousal immediately. He was fully erect in seconds. "Sire, Miss Akira these guards will escort you to your rooms. One will enter searching it for anything out of place while the other two will protect you. If I may suggest, it might be advisable to share quarters for a short time until we can resolve this problem. Sire the quarters that you have been using are no longer adequate for you, a Stateroom has been prepared that would serve you better now that you are our Lord."

Katy led the way to the Stateroom. One of the guards was behind her with two on each side of Russ and Akira, with a guard and the commander following. All the guards were on high alert with weapons drawn. Reaching the stateroom Katy entered along with a guard searching and scanning everything. When it was deemed clear Russ and Akira entered, two guards stood outside the door while two others went to each end of the corridor standing guard. Commander Grady sent the last two guards to each of their quarters to collect their belongings, after scanning everything. "Sire if you will excuse me, I will go get the new communicators. It will take about 30 minutes as I want to check and recheck everything on them to ensure your safety. You have my deepest apology, yours and your second is my highest concern. I have failed in my duty to you." Katy stated as tears slid down her cheeks.

"Katy, what is your exact duty on board this ship?" Akira asked.

"My lady, I am the last of the security staff on board."

"Katy, Front and Center." Russ snapped out.

In a rush Katy jumped to stand at attention in front of him, trembling from the fear and feeling she had failed her King. "Katy, did you have reason to suspect anyone on this ship of betrayal? Did you have the authority to question or investigate anyone?" Russ inquired.

"No Sire, I am just an ensign without any authority to do those things."

"You did not fail us in any way. Akira and I owe our lives to you for what you did in the control room. I do not want to hear another word about you failing us." Russ replied. "Commander Grady, Admiral Katy is now the head of the entire security force. This concerns the entire fleet and empire. Upgrade her status now to the fleet. Katy you now have the authority to do your duty."

"I will look into the problem of any AI that is not completely in line with your rule. There were rumors toward the end of the war that some of them had been infiltrated. That has to be stopped and eradicated right away, if any are on board they are still operating under the influence of that terrible war. Sire I would like to ask that you and Akira remain in this stateroom until I can scan every AI on board this ship, I also have to download and pick apart Lt. Jackson's memories. There will always be at least 4 guards close to you until I clear everything."

"That sounds like a reasonable request. I do not have a problem with that." Katy left heading to her security office to get the comm units and start the downloading process of Lt. Jackson.

"Commander, if there was one of them aboard for who knows how long. Wouldn't it stand to reason that there are more, also could they have done anything to the structure of the ship? I would like to have a complete report on the structural safety of this ship. While we are waiting on the Admiral I think now would be a good time to get something to eat. How many ships and of what types are left? Where is the home planet and is it still habitable? Are there any hostiles at this time to us, if so how many and at what level of danger are we in. Will they come to the Earth to attack it because of us? Can we move our ships to the outside of this solar system? What speed are our ships capable of? What are the defenses and offences of this ship? If we bring others on board how will they be treated? How many different races are there?"

"Sire, we have1500 ships left. They consist of scouts, attack craft, battleships, and carriers. The home planet is roughly 230,000 of your light years away from us, and it is not habitable any longer. At the moment I do not know if there are any hostiles towards us, but I can try to gather information from our spread fleet. That also concerns the possible danger to the Earth. If you command it then all of our ships can regroup outside of this solar system. All of our ships move through the quantum field, so it would be hard to define the speed. From Earth to our home planet would only take about an hour if that gives you any indication as to the speed. In normal space, though they can travel at a max of 20 times light speed. With the eradication of our two races, there is little known to us that can damage any of our ships, and the offensive power at your disposal is formidable.

"My Lord, a bodysuit would be nice don't you think?" Akira asked covering a laugh, while rubbing her thighs together.

A ding from the door announced a visitor. "Enter" Akira announced knowing that the guards would not allow anyone close that would hurt Russ.

A female entered carrying two new jumpsuits. "Sire, my lady the Admiral sent these to you.

"Commander, will you order some lunch for us, I am going to take a shower and put something on." Russ inquired. "Akira, you can join me or use the other bedroom and bath if you want."

"I will use the other one for now Russ. Thank you though." Akira let him know she appreciated the choice she had been given.

Walking into the living area of the stateroom, the Admiral was there along with the Commander. There was a simple lunch set out on the coffee table. Commander Grady and Admiral Katy were busy talking about things that needed to be taken care of for the future of everyone. The most important part being the safety of Russ and Akira, both stood as Russ entered the room. "Please be seated, when we are in an informal setting just relax. You two are friends and we trust you. I am still not comfortable with being the king this is still new to me." Russ stated as he sat in a chair. Akira came in shortly after he had sat down. When Russ caught sight of Akira in the new body suit, she was more stunning than before. As he sat watching Akira enter the room, the only thing he saw was Akira. Everything else seemed to fade away until she sat in the chair next to him. "Akira I am sorry I didn't mean to stare at you, you are beautiful." Damn my mouth, there it goes again.

"Thank you Sire, that was nice to hear." Akira had a teasing tone in her voice.

"Akira you never have to address me that way. I will always be Russ to you."

"There will be times that you have to be addressed that way Russ, whether you like it or not. You are the King and ruler of this race and we are going to build it into something great. I Pledge myself to you, body and soul and to everything you stand for." Russ was stunned by what she had just proclaimed. The Commander and Admiral added their support and Pledges to Akira's.

"Katy, what have you been able to find out so far. I know that you have not had much time as yet, but have you found anything?"

"Sire I have started the process of downloading the Lt.'s memory in a core dump. I will know more after that is finished. The new communicators are ready. I have ordered all the AI's to be deep scanned. That will be finished within the next 12 hours. After the Commander's is finished I will have him do my scan. While the ship is still in a parked mode, I also want the entire computer system deep scanned, but will have to have you authorize it. Other than your guards all weapons have been placed under lock down. The ship is scheduled to be scanned for any unauthorized weapons as we speak. That is all I have for now, other than giving you the communicator. I did adapt it somewhat like the one Lt. Jackson used. It will bond with your skin and not be able to be seen or removed by anyone other than the one wearing it, the hazardous parts were removed. They are totally safe now."

"Katy I am impressed that you were able to get so much done in such a short time. Great Job, Admiral." Russ was pleased he had placed his trust in Katy.

"Katy, you have done a fantastic job protecting Russ. Thank you very much, but I would also like you to add a personal guard for him. I do not think I could live with something happening to him now. There is something going on between us and I have no idea what it is. I do know that he is my life now and without him I cannot go on." Akira announced to Katy and those around them. She was surprised that she felt no embarrassment from that.

"Akira, both you and Russ now have permanent guards that will be with you at almost all times. That is the only responsibility they will have." The Commander spoke up.

"Commander I think that we are going to call it a night, Akira and I have some things to talk about. We can meet here in the morning. I would like a wakeup call at 6am central time again."
