Chapter 2: The Adventure Begins.. With a Nightmare
Tiafell had very pleasant dreams for the first half of the night, dreams of epic adventures, awe inspiring landscapes, and "rendezvous" with various people. However, his wonderful dreams were about to be rudely interrupted.
This dream began with Tiafell inside of an empty void with absolutely nothing around him. He looked around, calling out for someone to respond, only to hear nothing. He walked forward, continuing to call out but still heard no response.
"Where am I? This has to be a dream.." Tiafell said to himself, wrapping his arms around his chest to calm his nerves. Moments later, he felt a presence behind him, someone else was here after all, but the aura sent chills down his spine. He turned to see who or what was with him, his eyes widened as his blood ran cold.
Hovering before him was a black ghostly figure. It was a torso with no waist. It had a head and very long arms with long white claw-like nails on its fingertips that almost touched the ground. It had flowing white hair that moved as if it were being blown by the wind. Its face lacked a nose, mouth, and ears, only having glowing yellow irises with black slits for pupils with no visible sclera. Black ribbons flowed from its body in the same manner as its hair. Dark red vein-like markings lined its body and arms. Being an elf, Tiafell was sensitive to the aura and feelings of others, this figure radiated a terrifying aura unlike any he felt before. He felt that his life was in danger.
"E-Excuse me..? Do you know where we are? And may I ask you for your name?" He was almost too afraid to speak, barely getting the words out.
The figure chuckled and in a deep echoing male voice, it answered him in a language that Tiafell had never heard before. And yet, he somehow understood what the figure was saying to him.
"What do you mean that I 'need not worry about who you are'? And how is it that I can understand you? I have never heard that tongue before!" he stated, confusion adding to his fear.
The figure responded again, this time using the common tongue. "You will have the answers you seek when the time is right. Right now, you need only face your fears and leave that damned village. After all, you have a 'destiny', correct?" it said mockingly.
"Who or what are you??"
"As I said, you will have your answers when you are ready for them. But I will tell you this" the figure raised its hand, pointing its finger at the confused elf. "You and I have a lot in common. You will soon understand why..."
"What do you mean by that??"
