Note from the author. This is part 3 of my ritual story. Please read the first two parts before this one. Also I would like to thank everyone who enjoys my work. I would have never thought anyone would like my story. I am a first time writer and haven't taken an English class in 20 years so please bear with me. And while I do welcome constructive criticism, if you are going to be nasty about it then please don't leave a comment. All that does is make me not want to work on my story. If you want me to complete this series then volunteer to be my editor, or leave criticism that I can work with other than being mean. All my work will focus on mammary intercourse. So if it isn't your cup of tea then please find another story. Thank you.

The wind was howling ferociously outside, whipping at the trees and forcing any remaining leaves to the ground. It continuously beat against the house, making the windows shake and walls creak. Patchy batches of clouds moved across the night's sky partially obscuring the full moon that hung high above aided by millions of stars surrounding it. The nights were slowly getting colder as autumn was nearing its end.
The weather was a stark contrast to the scene inside however. Zulara was in her room that was only illuminated by candles on the pedestal in front of her. She was on a kneeler, her elbows resting on either side of the candles and her hands were raised with open palms to either side of her head, in the center stood a silver candelabra with three candles. Each one was differently colored to represent the three Goddesses. Avaleena's was red and in the middle displaying respect for the eldest of the three. The yellow on the left portrayed Seseno while on the green one on the right honored Meliketh.
The lights emanating from the candles made the shadows of the room dance on the walls. Zulara wore only a loin cloth; her breasts still had a fresh sheen of residue from Louis's seed. She was chanting prayers to the Goddesses desperately seeking their guidance and wisdom. The aroma of the melting wax triggered memories of her past and the studying she undertook for this important occasion that every queen was thrust into.
Brief thoughts of her reign as her people's ruler sprang into her mind. As queen it was her responsibility to make countless decisions that would affect the daily lives of her race. She considered herself a fair and just queen, and with her console's ear to the ground her citizens thought of her as one of the better ones in their history. But with all this knowledge she couldn't help but feel like a failure. Zulara understood the most important part of queen's tenure was the ritual. The Goddesses teachings were focused on it. And the few times she ever did speak to them, they showed little care or guidance for how to rule day to day affairs. Their thoughts were always occupied with finding the true race that was their equal.
This night would be the last chance to find out if humans were the race that the Kafkan were searching for. Louis had drank her milk and with that her DNA was passed into him, she hoped that after his body had digested the sweet nectar it would help open his mind to be able to connect with hers she entered the spirit realm. Her prayers were second nature to her as her mind kept thinking about the possibility of what would happen if he didn't visit her tonight in the realm.
Zulara rested her hands on both sides of her head as she finished the last verse of the final prayer, finally opening her eyes when concluded. She briefly considered doing another round of prayers but she dismissed the thought when she realized that she was only contemplating it to prolong the inevitable. She had to rest and enter the realm this night and finally get the answer to whether or not the humans were their equal. She stood up and picked up the candle holder and carried it to her bed. She swiftly took off her loin cloth leaving her bare. Once she had placed the candles on a stand next to the bed she hurried under the covers. She turned her head and blew out the candles and waited for sleep to take hold.
The first thing she felt was the chilly sensation of the water she was sitting in. The air was humid with a gentle breeze. Opening her eyes slowly she gracefully stood up and looked to the sky. The moon that hung in the sky was tinted with a soft orange glow. There was mist just above the ankle high water and in all directions nothing but empty space.
"Louis! Can you hear me? Are you here with me?" Zulara demanded into the vastness.
She took a few steps in a random path hoping that somehow she could find him. She continued walking calling out to him after every lethargic step reluctant to give up hope. She changed directions and continued her calls into the hollow realm. Gradually she had to admit to herself that her efforts were futile. She finally collapsed to her knees and began praying, she didn't know what else to do, as she kept chanting she lost count of how long she has been here. Was it an hour? Was it even longer? She stood up and screamed into the barrenness of the realm.
"Goddesses I need you now more than ever! Have I failed you? Please show yourselves to me and give me the guidance I desperately seek!"
Zulara waited and waited and waited but nothing happened. Louis wasn't here and the Goddesses had probably viewed her as the failure she was and were preparing the training for the next queen. She felt a myriad of emotions flood her mind. Hatred spawned from a sense of betrayal of the Goddesses, she devoted her whole life to their cause and they wouldn't even show themselves to her now. Sadness knowing that her race still hasn't found the equals they so desperately needed. But mostly she felt guilt, she has failed her people, the Goddesses but mostly she failed herself.
Zulara hung her head low and started to feel a burning in her eyes as the mist slowly started to fade away bringing nothing but the gloom of unconsciousness.
Meanwhile in Louis's room he was fast asleep and lost in his own dreams:
He was outside at a spot he instantly recognized. There was a small bon fire alive and crackling with a half moon was shinning down onto them. He was with Rachael again; she was poking at the fire and turning over the logs with a metal rod to keep it going.
"Do you remember this place Louis?" She asked without looking over her shoulder at him.
"Yes of course I do, it is one of the most significant places of our relationship" He answered then he strode towards her and sat next to her on a massive log they used as a bench that laid next to the fire pit.
"I always loved our camping trips here with the kids." She said as she tangled her right arm with his left and laid her head on his shoulder. They stayed like that for a long while without talking, the only sounds that could be heard were the crickets chirping, an occasional owl's hoot in the distance and the crackling of the wood burning fire.
