The Minds Eye Ch 11

Xeinther was surprised then asked me to bring him to earth, I shrugged then we were there. He then asked me to go to the other three representatives. Again I shrugged and the both of us appeared next to the water being. Then we appeared next to a shocked praying Mantis being. The last the fish being was as shocked as I was.

I then appeared with Xeinther back in his world, then I left for mine. I discovered that each time I was moving far faster.

I could see that all of them were shocked. I thought that all of you could do this, I thought.

All four of them shook their heads or equivalent still a little shocked about what I had done.

What!? I thought, I have seen you come here... I started.

Bill, Xeinther thoughts interrupting me. What you did hasn't been done in a very long time. What you see when I am there is an energy representation of me. What you took to the other worlds was my actual being.

I looked at the other three beings apologizing for invading their worlds. All of them were actually happy that I had done what I had.

Bill, what we all witnessed was history, no one has seen what you did in eons.

Xeinther said suddenly, by the way that last huge Xetron that you hurt? I believe that was the Xetron supreme leader. Also we counted several thousand of the new warriors that you destroyed.

I could only stare at nim with my mouth open.

What!? I thought that was just a dream, it really didn't feel real, that's why I had thought it was a dream. Wait, the Xetron supreme leader? That means they will be after us even that much more? I've doomed my planet; you say that I am so powerful now though I can't seem to access it.

Bill came Xeinther's thoughts. You are still new to this; your partly human thinking is what is limiting you.

I looked at the four beings before me, great I thought so, because I am human, I have doomed my race.

Xeinther shook his head as the others shook whatever their head was. It is also your humanity that has made you more powerful thn any of the four, now five races, has seen.

I was still trying to wrap my head around all this when the other three winked out. Bill, did you try at all when you were on the Xetron world to hurt them?

I thought about it then shook my head. I looked at Xeinther a little shocked, is it that easy? I asked.

Xeinther was quiet a moment then said, it isn't as easy as you think. In this case you did make it seem as if you didn't even think about it.

So, you're telling me that I could stop the entire invasion if I wanted to? I asked.

He looked at me then shook his head, you would do very well. Though like all beings you are not a machine with endless energy. I can see you taking out a great deal, though the energy used would deplete you rapidly.

So I thought, no matter what help is always needed? Great I'd rather not put others at risk, I thought.

That is the wish of all true heroes, you will do fine. Ah! It's time for you to return know that we will be there as soon as possible. I blinked then I was waking up.

Both my daughters and Alice along with the three from the old unit were there.

"Bill?" I heard Andy say then I felt him try to touch me, summarily being flung across the room. "Damn, that was a hell of a punch," he said.

"Remember that next time when I first come to," I was barely able to whisper.

"Dad?" I heard Trina say a tremble to her voice. "Are you alright? You've been gone for almost an hour now."

I was finally able to move though it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I stood up as I found out a little too quickly. I suddenly had a few pair of hands that caught me as I was headed toward the floor.

I slightly shook my head then felt better. I looked at Trina, Bell and Alice, "you remember the other four beings that were there?" They all started to nod. "After I upped everyone I had thought that I needed to know how strong the new Xetron warriors were. I was suddenly there! The four races said I destroyed thousands of them."

"So are you saying that we are safe?" Bell asked.

I shook my head, "I only delayed them a bit, they are still coming. I also, according to Xeinther, hurt the supreme leader of the Xetrons. He said that it doesn't make a difference but I think it will."

My daughters and Alice mouth's were open in shock. "Dad? Are you that powerful now?" Bell asked looking at me strangely.

"I am supposed to be though, I don't feel like I am. I was also told that, I can do things that no one else can do. I still don't feel this though the other four races are shocked at what I did," I told them.

They helped me to the nearest couch as I sat with a thud. Trina and Bell disappeared then reappeared with two plates of food.

I thanked them then ate like I was starving. "I need to get everyone as strong as I can. We need to work on the strategies also. Everyone had the basics, though we need to get at least a few of the advanced in all of you."

I sighed this was going to take all I could to get us ready. still I felt that I was going to lose a few of them no matter what I died. I had to get as many through this as I could.

So for the rest of the day I slowly advanced everyone more. I didn't go that much as I was doing everyone though some was better than none. At least now I felt that all of them could resist the new warriors though not long.

Each day for the next four days I advanced all of us. Myself advanced each time I advanced them, many of the things I had barely seen were a lot stronger now.

the only surprising thing was that my old team was now able to thought travel. So, I thought that was seven of us, yes that might come in handy. Unfortunately, we were the only ones with no one else even close.

The fifth day I started to get a niggling of the massive approaching force. I was reaching out to see how many when I felt a few of them try to attack me. The resulting reaction destroyed about a hundred of the approaching ships.

I blew out a breath at least there were fewer I thought 'til I felt hundreds of times even more ships. Damn, here I thought that I had helped I had probably angered them more. Yeah, I could see that what I had taken out, wasn't even a drop in the total amount.

I should have been doing this the whole time. So, I was reaching out taking out a few hundred more. I shook my head this would take forever the way I was going. I sat to concentrate on the approaching fleet.

I could see that they appeared to be unending though I knew different. I was reaching as far as I could when I thought of them exploding. The titanic explosion took at least a thousand ships plus a few hundred that were behind them.

It was at that moment that I understood what Xeinther had been talking about. I wasn't a machine with unlimited energy, the last had taken quite a bit out of me. even if my levels had risen sharply.

All six of the strongest of them were at my side in a moment. "What the hell did you do Bill?" John asked staring at me. "That was a massive attack I just felt."

I nodded as I shook my head, it was taking a moment for my energy to rebuild. "I can feel them getting closer. I just destroyed about a thousand of the ships, didn't even make them pause. They have a hell of a lot more I just thought I could even thing out, nope."

"A thousand? They have a lot more than that?" Trina asked, as I nodded starting to feel better.

"I think that they have several million of these new warriors. I believe I destroyed half of their production center though they already had millions made. I just took out a few thousand, a drop to millions," I told them.

"How often can you do that?" Bell asked.

"A few times before I exhausted myself, my mind is limited at the moment. I was able to expand further than I thought I could, though not much. If anything, I might have made things worse," I told them.

Trina, Bell and Alice's eyes were suddenly wide as they suddenly turned to stare at me. "My god there are so many!" I heard Alice say.

I was again reaching out feeling my energy back to where it had been. This time I saw that the fleet was far larger than I thought. I tried to start at the front moving back across all that were coming after. I tried to encompass as many as I could then I pushed for them to explode.

I heard my daughters and Alice scream as I felt almost all my energy go out into the push. This time I saw that I had gotten a hell of a lot more though they still kept coming.

I tried to estimate how many though lost count at a little over two thousand. Well, I thought, got a few more at least.

I had been out for a few hours when I jerked awake suddenly. Damn I thought I hadn't even had any dreams now that was a bummer!

I sighed as I sat up I had hoped that destroying those that, I had would help. I needed to do something to try and even the playing field.

I was suddenly energy floating above the house then I was at the front of the oncoming fleet. I passed through the first ten ships then was shocked when they exploded taking another few ships with them.

An idea started to form though I thought there was no way that it could be that easy. To test it out, I passed through another ten ships which quickly exploded.

I felt a smile come to me as I started to pass through every ship I could, as fast as I could. Within moments there were several hundred explosions, so I started to move even faster. This time I saw that there were several thousand more explosions as the entire front of the fleet vanished.

This timer I noticed that they had slowed, several weapons came to bear on me. Uh oh I thought as I changed my energy, and the beam weapons passed through me.

I smiled as I started to pass through more ships as fast as I could. Several thousand more explosions had them stopping as they tried to get a bead on me. I was feeling better when I forgot to change my energy and a beam barely brushed me.

Holy shit I thought as I felt something akin to fire crawling up my body. I thought of home and was there in a moment. I dropped to the floor as soon as I was solid.

Trina and bell kept everyone back as I convulsed for a few moments. Damnit, it hurt more as a solid than it had as energy. I was trying to stay conscious though was failing badly.

"Well," I whispered," I got a few thousand more though as I said was just a drop."

I felt Alice and my daughter lower me to the couch as the convulsions finally stopped.

This time I had a dream though I wasn't really sure that it was a dream. I mean the four races were there, so I expected that it wasn't. The strange thing though was the fact that they were speaking but I couldn't hear a thing.

i pointed to my ears and shook my head no. Xeinther looked at the others the reached out to me touching my forehead. For a moment there was a stinging pain then it faded.

There that should help, Xeinther said as a slight ringing sounded in my head. you were struck by a weapon while you were doing whatever you were doing? Xeinther asked.

When I just nodded he looked at the others. It appeared that they have gotten part of the frequency that you use, the Praying Manthis, Skatnes of the Herithons said.

I was shocked a moment then thought about it. Yes, that almost seemed to make sense. I hadn't changed like I had before.

It seems that they are now seriously considering you a more serious threat. this last offensive you destroyed more than three thousand ships and the warriors. What has them so worried is you did it with ease.

Your flow and movements have them more puzzled than anything, Kanderith of the Berunithen thought to me. It was indeed a credit to your race.

You actually made them stop their forward movement; this is unheard of with the Xetron race. This is a fact that none of us have ever seen, the fish creature, Dutenner of the Escalees said.

As we have said before Xeinther stated, we now know that you have abilities that haven't been seen for a very long time. the pause that they did? delayed them more than we thought it had. Our fleets should arrive in half a rotation rather than a whole one. Well done, Xeinther said.

I could only stare at the four of them. Even with as many as I have destroyed it is still only a drop to the total number that they have, I voiced my concerns. I just can't take out enough.

It is fine Bill, Xeinther aid as a worried look came to my face. We have sufficient force to stop them. Especially with the number you have destroyed.

Also Bill, I am not sure if you noticed but your levels have almost doubled since the first offensive you tried. I was shocked as I looked at it was now a fact that I had a hell of a lot more power than I had.

I sighed this is all good but what good is it if I pass out each time I use it? Like you said before, I have power yes, though my body that holds it is still behind. I'm not sure how I can overcome this, Xeinther.

All four of them smiled (or whatever they considered a smile) then held their hands or whatever out toward me. At first it wasn't bad actually for a long while, then it started to sting and throb. I nearly screamed as it suddenly doubled, tripled then I almost passed out.

When they stopped I it was a relief unlike anything I had ever felt before. It is time to return Bill Xeinther said as I nodded then opened my eyes. Oh shit! This time the pain was off the scale.

"He's coming back," I heard a female voice say. My first mistake was trying to fully open my eyes, that was like a knife to the head. hen I tried to rise, nope wasn't going to happen.

"Take it easy Bill," I heard a familiar male voice. This was harder than I thought as I again tried with my eyes and muscles. I didn't even get either to respond ok I thought, this was indeed different.

I reached out to my daughters and Alice, "how long?" I asked.

I felt all three were confused, how long? I felt all three of them ask.

Unconscious I thought to them.

Oh, about an hour, Trina said getting what I was asking.

An hour? Shit, it felt like several hours as long as I felt that I was gone.

No dad, you've only been out for about an hour, why? Has a lot happened while you were away? Trina asked.

I made my third mistake as I tried to nod my head yeah, that sent me into a whole new eave of pain.

A few minutes later after I stopped convulsing, I told them that much had. It was another hour before I could finally sit up and stay still.

I slowly told them all that had happened, plus the fact that the others would only be a half day after the invaders. That seemed to brighten them up, though I thought I still needed to get the rest of the stronger.

It was almost another two hours before I even felt half normal again. I didn't need to do this again if I wanted to be at full power.

I started slow as I worked on the other thirty-one. Alice, my daughters and I were very high as it was. The rest as I said I wanted to make sure that they survived. I had all of them fairly high now just past where my daughters had been at the start of this.

Now, I was starting to feel better about this, they had more of a chance than they did before. The bad thing was that we only had about a day and a half before the edge of the advancing fleet reached us. I had also strengthened the shield, plus I has added a few nasty surprises.

I smiled the Xetrons were in for a world hurt when they arrived. I had learned more than their energy levels, also their mental what little they had levels. his i am sure would help to deal them a big blow when they attacked each other.

We had a day, though for some reason i felt that I had forgotten something. I therefore went back over everything discovering a few minor mistakes. Then I was about to shut down when I found a major problem.

Over one of the poles, I discovered that the area was a weak point for the planet. I cursed as I tried to fix it, finding that nothing seemed to increase the area. How the hell, then I found a ship of those that were still here hidden there.

I made short work of the ship, though it would take more time than we had to repair the damage completely. Damnit I wasn't going to be able to guard the front and now the back.

I knew that I wouldn't have the full protection for it but I could make it hard for them. I started to ad to it though at the present time it was practically nothing.

I had it at twice the strength though still not that much. I advised all of the crew that we had a weak spot that was going to need watching. I was so unsure cause I was afraid that, who ever watched over it might not survive.

Still I hoped that this last strengthing would provide them with enough to actually defeat a few of them. At least now i had seven of us that had real power to defend the planet.

All of them were also glad that the other faces would arrive a half day sooner. Half a day was by far more hopeful than a whole day.

I then started to add even more to the shields as I felt that they were barely enough to stop them. The weak point was now far stronger than it had been. I wasn't that hopeful that it would last thqat long.

I could feel them growing closer then waited, as i said I had set out a few surprises for them. They were barely two hundred thousand miles away when the first of the bombs went off. I estimated we got at least a thousand before the first got through.

i smiled when they started to rush past where they had lost a thousand before the second wave of bombs went off. I know that we got twice that as it seemed as if the explosions seemed continous.

Even with that many they still seemed to be endless as they rushed forward. I smiled again as a third set went off drastically slowing them. I belive that we had destroyed at least ten thousand before the first ship reached the shield.

I nodded to the others as they started to sendout energy blasts that were taking ten at a time. Soon enough there was a huge junkyard of wrecked and destroyed ships in orbit.

The others were taking a heavy toll on th enemy though I could see that they were tiring rather quickly. As they started to drop from exhaustion, we started to step in. Fiurst the old crew started to take fourty to fifty each time.

W had started to devastate the enemy though thre were still too many. Still when Alice and my daughters started to take a hundred at a time, they finally started to thin a little.

I had just joined them taking a thousand, when I felt them trying to breach the weak point. I wasn't sure that I could do two points though I was going to try.

Some of th first of the few had partly recharged and were back at it. That's when I heard a shout throwing a shield around one of females. Damnit! I was close to losing a few of them if I didn't end this soon.

I was starting to get angry that we were going to lose a bunch of people. In fact, I was so mad that I released the most powerful blast that I ever had. I heard everyone near me gasp as it hit the middle of the fleet. They said that it hit and washed through the fleet taking over ninety precent that were left.

Andy caught me as I went down, I smiled as I felt the blast start to eat away at the fleet. I could swear that it didn't stop as it went all the way through their ranks.

Good I thought the others should be able to finish this. I tried to fight it though a minute later the darkness took me.
