"Alright, I believe it's time to get the rest of you stronger," I said as I turned toward Bethany. I knew I wasn't completely recharged, though I needed more of them higher.

"Is this going to hurt?" She asked.

"No, though it might tickle," Bell said.

I nodded as I started to raise her levels above the danger zone.

I then turned toward Dan and his sister; they were pretty high as they were. Hopefully, I wouldn't need to raise them much. I was shocked when they were both not far from my daughters' levels. I had hardly expended any energy.

Well, that was six, then I turned toward Alice. I had a look of confusion as I felt her power. My god, I thought, she feels exactly like my dead wife did when she was alive. I knew the rest of them saw my look also.

I tried to shrug it off, especially with all of them staring at me. I did a double take. Alice was nothing like my dead wife. Why was I feeling that something extremely important was about to happen?

So I thought, I was just going to have to handle this. For now, that was the only thing I could do.

I turned to Alice, "as I tried to explain, you have great potential for mental abilities." I could see that she was considering what I had said, then she slowly nodded her head. "What I am going to do is raise your ability levels. That will protect you later from this present alien race, plus allow you to fight back."

She looked at me with huge eyes, "is that why, whatever it was, was trying to take over my mind?" She asked, a fearful look on her face.

When I nodded, her fearful look turned to a determined one, "I have to ask if you wish me to do this. I don't like to do this without permission," I told her.

She seemed to be deep in thought for a few moments, then asked, "Will it hurt?"

"No, I always try to make sure that I don't overdo it. You are very low, your abilities almost non-existent," I explained to her.

"So you don't know if it hurts or not," she said, a little afraid, still.

"As far as I know, it doesn't hurt, at least I try to make sure it doesn't," I said. This seemed to calm her down, well, that and the others assuring her.

I reached in feeling that her abilities were barely open. Why the hell had the Xetrons wanted her? Her abilities were at the very beginning, just after I started, I found out why. Within two minutes, she doubled, then tripled the amount of power she had. There was absolutely no strain on her mind or system.

I saw her eyes open wide as several abilities were suddenly open. She was climbing in strength in her abilities. I was unsure just how far to go. She wasn't strained, she wasn't in pain, she was nearing the point when her protection was strong.

"Alice, I have as of yet seen anyone grow as fast as you are. My god, you are almost strong enough to resist the Xetrons," I told her, hearing gasps coming from my daughters.

"Dear god dad, she's advanced that far already? Have you ever seen anyone advance that quickly?" She asked.

"No," I started, then was looking at the same Bellion I had seen the most since coming home.

"She is more like you than you think, you were the only one that we have seen to grow like this. Might I suggest that you train her more? She is a near mirror of you," the Bellion said, then was gone.

I blinked, shaking my head, as I 'woke up' from whatever it was. Both my daughters were beside me trying to bring me back. "Dad? Dad! Are you alight?" Trina said.

"Yeah, you were talking then just stopped, standing still liked a statue," Bell said, a look of worry on her face.

I again shook my head, trying to clear my head. "Just had a visit from our friends the Bellions." Here I turned to Alice, "Apparently, you are a female me. I have you already almost high enough to resist the Xetrons. It took several times to get them that high. Hell, another time should have you as high if not higher."

Everyone was staring at Alice as if she'd grown another head, she was really afraid now. She half felt that they were about to abandon or kill her. "It wasn't on purpose, I assure you," Alice said.

"It's not that, it's just that you are like me, apparently the only one that is like me," I told a now shocked Alice.

"OK, not really sure what you mean, like you, care to explain?" She said.

"What I mean is that you can go up to levels of power faster than anyone but me. Once you are higher? No one will be able to hurt you," I said.

Alice just stared at me, appearing to still be confused. "I don't really feel any different. I don't feel like I can do anything."

I nodded, "it might be a little while before you feel a change. Then again, like me, you might suddenly find you can do things that seem impossible," I said

Again, she looked at me slightly confused. "Like I said, I don't really feel any different."

"Oh, you will, and soon, I believe. The thing is, you need to keep a hold on what you do," I told her.

Still, I could see that she was having a hard time believing me.

Deep within the home planet of the Xetrons, the ultimate leader watched as the strongest of the spawnings hatched. A grissly smile came to the leader's face. Ah, they are far stronger than it was hoping for.

The first thousand were quickly out looking for nourishment. Unknown to the leader, several of the attendants were quickly ripped apart and digested. Also unseen, several of the spawnings started to attack each other.

The leader noticed that the spawnings were far hungrier than they should be. It was also at that moment that the leader noticed that a great many attendants were missing. Ah! The leader could see that they needed more nutrients for the spawnings.

The Ultimate leader soon had a great many prisoners pushed into the room. The screams of anguish and pain that started to sound made the leader far happier.

He watched a little amazed as the spawnings started to grow far faster and bigger than before. A satisfied nod was all the leader did as it got the new readings from this new batch.

A beeping of a console alerted the Ultimate leader that the project he had assigned his scientists was near done.

"Report," the leader said.

"The project should be completed soon. The ultimate warrior should be far stronger after all the pain of healing," the scientists said.

"Good, I require him to be as powerful as he can get. From what he and others have seen, this weak human possess far more power than we thought. We need to gain access to the earth, that weak planet could feed us for a very long time. Their screams of death will grow in the ears of all the spawnings."

"The ten thousand should be finished in a few hours," the lead spawning attendant said.

"Good," the leader said. Touching another button, the leader said, "I need full production of a spawn fleet. I need all that they can produce and more."

"It will be done, leader," returned a voice.

A week later, I was once again out, having felt another powerful mind. All of what I now called my team were with me. After what happened the last few times, I thought it prudent.

The thing is that neither the Xetrons nor any other race had made a move against the earth. I had used the time searching the earth looking for more like us. I had also raised all of them a lot higher, having a feeling something was up.

I knew as soon as I appeared that something was indeed going on. I knew that the agents left on earth, still controlled a few leaders. The agents had managed to hide themselves far more than I thought they could.

The small town we had landed in was pretty much unremarkable, except for a powerful feeling mind. I had taken the lead, landing near the man I could feel. Looking around, nothing seemed out of place.

That was the key word, it seemed, the few people I met seemed to be unconcerned. They didn't greet each other, nor did they look at each other as they passed on the street. I had barely extended my senses when I felt an attack.

After a look around, I saw that there were more than a few that were staring at me. Thankfully, my shields had been up as I was expecting something. The pressure increased, then I felt both my daughters knock a few off their feet.

I nodded to them, then moved to a large building that appeared to be a warehouse. I tried the doors that appeared to be unlocked, though wouldn't budge. I reached out ripping the doors off their tracks.

What I found inside was a male chained to a wall with at least ten others standing before him. They all seemed to be concentrating. I could feel the sheer amount of power that they were throwing at him. I sent an energy wall between them and him, causing them all to suddenly turn toward me.

"YOU!" The obvious leader said. "We are far stronger than you are. You will fall as this one will, he is on the edge now, as soon as you fall, he will succumb to us," the leader said.

I just shook my head with a slight smile, "You obviously don't realize just who you are dealing with."

I pointed at the leader, watching as he was pushed across the floor penned to the wall. He started to shout at the others to attack me, then his eyes grew large as the other nine of my team appeared.

I walked up to each severing the tether that they had to their bodies. I flinched a bit when nine of them started to scream as they started to die. I saved the leader for last as I slowly severed the last of his tether.

He started to laugh, "I die for my people, an honor."

I stared him in the eyes, "Yes, you die for nothing falling before a superior foe, in a pitiful cause."

As soon as the alien presence was gone, I reached out to the last four ships that were near the orbit of the earth. I could feel the ship that had ten fewer living presences. They had drifted closer to my shield.

I smiled as I started to build up a massive amount of power, then released it. Less than a minute later, I heard yelling, then felt a titanic explosion outside the shield.

I smiled at the rest of those that I had brought with me. They were all walking toward me when I saw both of my daughters appear beside me. Crap I thought, I felt my knees buckle then start to fall toward the floor.

Trina and Bell helped me sit, thankfully I wasn't even half as weak as I was usually. I was finally growing stronger, though I knew I had to go up more. If I was going to face what I felt was going to be a major offensive against the earth.

"Well," I said, looking at both of them. "Didn't pass out this time, I need to get stronger. This race isn't through with us, I feel something major is headed our way. At least I have all of you higher, so that can't compromise any of you. Now to get this one back home."

The male, chained to the wall, groaned when we managed to free him. My daughters managed to heal a great many of the physical wounds, at least the life-threatening ones. An hour later, I felt rested enough to travel.

I nodded to the rest of the team as we all joined hands, then vanished. We all appeared in the large living room. I sighed as I concentrated on making another two rooms appear in the house. I also had to extend the house shield another twenty feet outward.

I then sat next to our new addition; we had lucked out as the aliens had just started. I looked at my daughters as I delved into the man's mind. There were several patches of his mind that had been inundated with tortuous scenes. These I was able to completely remove, though the mental pain would take more time.

Slowly, very slowly, I felt the male start to awake. I also felt him start to cringe, curling into a ball. "Where am I?" He asked.

"You are in my home on the other side of the country" I told him.

His eyes popped open, staring around then at all of us there. "How? I was downtown, then I was grabbed. I woke up in the Silas warehouse, there were a bunch of my friends there, but they didn't know me."

"Can't seem to remember much after that, huh?" I asked.

When he just nodded his head, I tried not to smile. This had been the reaction of quite a few that he had found.

I then proceeded to tell him about the war we were in, our mental powers, then his. Of course, he only looked at me as if I had lost my mind. Again, I tried not to laugh as the look on his face was comical.

"So, you're telling me that I am like, all of you?" The man asked, a still shocked look on his face.

"Well," I started. "Not quite like us, but we can change that." Again, he looked at me slightly confused. "Your mental abilities are much lower than ours, though I can raise them. The thing is, if you are going to abuse them, they can be removed almost as easily."

He sat there for a few minutes thinking about what we had discussed, then looked at me. "OK, if I can help, I will."

I nodded as I started to raise him. I was a little afraid, he was the first we had detected in a week. We were going to have to develop a stronger way to detect them.

I mean, we defeated the last race, which was on the earth with only twenty-seven. The problem was that we lost over twenty of those. Though we hadn't really known what we were doing at the time. I was afraid that we didn't have enough.

Everyone except the new guy was a lot higher than any had ever been. I was still afraid that we didn't have enough. True, I was extremely powerful. I hadn't really gained any more of the Bellon's knowledge that was locked away.

I had thought for some time, but it wasn't too long before I realized. I was more worried about the planet and my people than I was myself. I was thinking of this when I suddenly felt another six people.

The others saw my mouth drop open, then flinch, when I heard a scream. I was gone, immediately appearing in a large downtown city.

I saw the man and woman almost immediately. The guy was down, the woman was flinging a large group every which way. Damn, I thought she was holding her own, though I could see that they were starting to wear her down.

I grabbed two that had just risen, ripping their tendrils loose. The second they dropped, the others turned toward me very pissed off looks on their faces.

"So," a voice said in my head. "The cursed one is here; you can't win against all of us and save them."

I smiled as I thought back, "wanna bet?!" The twenty-plus started to smile more, moving toward me as they split up.

All of their smiles vanished when both my daughters appeared behind me. That's when the true chaos started, with ten of them dropping.

"Now," I said. "You might want to rethink that thought."

When they just sneered, moving toward the couple again, I sent out a wave of energy. This time, all there their faces were in shock as I just walked up to each, severing their mental tethers.

I saved the leader for last, "I don't know why you thought you'd win. I beat your best warrior, and he fled so afraid, like the coward that you and all the war-like racers do."

"You cannot win, we have an unending supply of warriors that will overwhelm you. We," the leader started. I was tired of his boasting as I cut his connection, killing the physical body.

"Take them back, I feel a few more," I said as I vanished before they could speak.

Strangely enough, I appeared only a few miles away. This time it was two males, who appeared to be twins. Both of them, like the woman before, were flinging bodies left and right. The thing was, there were twice as many this time. I shook my head, pushing out a pulsing wave.

At least twenty-five fell, of course garnering the attention of ther others. I could feel both my daughters and a few more of the team heading this way.

The brothers were staring at me and all the bodies that were on the ground. Just like the previous, they group split with ten going for me. The brothers were still flinging bodies in each direction, though they looked as if they were tiring.

I shook my head at the ten in front of me, running through, then severing their tethers. All ten fell, giving the last fifteen pause.

An obvious leader said, "Continue after the two males, I will handle this weakling."

"I thought that your warriors were a lot smarter than this. After beating the last thirty or so? I can see that I am dealing with the weakest minds," I said.

"So, you will not win this time. Take me or save them. There is no way you can do both," the leader said, then laughed.

I just sighed as my daughters, Dan and his sister, plus my three old team appeared. The other fourteen went down in less than twenty seconds.

"I have a team now, more than strong enough to take you down," I said as I severed his tether. I looked back at all of them there. "Get them back, I feel two more," then I flashed out.

This time, I could feel I was a hell of a lot further west. Not sure where, though I was pretty far out. I saw a group surrounding a pair of females. I shook my head, something wasn't right.

The harder I stared at the two females, the more and more the situation felt wrong. For one thing, I wasn't feeling any type of distress from either of them. For another, I wasn't really feeling anything from them.

I was the strongest on the planet, I should feel something. No, this was some type of ruse. The last two had almost been expecting me. I felt like they were desperate. Did they think that my abilities didn't grow? That I wouldn't develop others?

I could see that they weren't really attacking the two females. Concentrating harder, I soon saw that it was two Xetrons in fake female bodies.

OK, when had they started to actually think, hmmm, perhaps it was as I thought before, they were desperate. I was about to send another pulse, when I realized that I was down power wise. Perhaps this was their plan to weaken me. I had to wait a bit, my team was on their way.

I started to relax as I walked away from the area, when I felt two actual females that were highly stressed. Damnit, I thought. I appeared on the other side of the building I had been in. A quick look revealed that the Xetrons were employing some type of holo-gram machine.

I almost growled when I saw that both females were almost comatose. I could feel my team drawing closer, though I knew it took them far longer to go greater distances. So far, only Dan and his sister, my daughters and Bethany could move with their minds.

Bethany had discovered that she could by mistake, though she still couldn't understand how she was doing it. My daughters could already though they were the only ones that could move any great distance.

I was almost ready to jump out and attack, both females were starting to grow in their distress. I wasn't sure if they would survive much longer, so I severed the connections that were on their heads.

All the Xetrons around them were suddenly on high alert as several more suddenly rushed out. I gave a sigh of relief as my entire team appeared.

I looked at Trina and Bell, both concerned, feeling that my energy was at half. They both nodded, then looked at the others. They all nodded, then the true chaos started.

As all the Xetrons started to fall, both females broke their bonds. They looked at us a moment, then started to toss bodies away from themselves.

I tried to use as little energy as I could, as I started to take out all that I could. When we finished, there were at least sixty people walking around confused as soon as they woke up.

We had made ourselves scarse by them. I figured that we had eliminated the rest of the Xetron agents. I guess they thought to eliminate me, though this felt different, badly different.
