Authors note: The characters, places, names, and such are not to be used, copied, or such actions without the permission from the author. Any places, names, descriptions of real life people, places, and such is pure coincidental. Much effort has been placed in keeping everything in this series very original as possible. This story contains, scenes of sex, violence, and use of magic. Let it be noted that all characters engaging in sexual activities are of legal age of consent. Edit Note: I apologize for the mistakes in the first chapter. I don't have anyone that I feel I can just hand my work over to that has the time to go over my work. So I decided to use an online grammar check service. It may not fix everything, but something is better than nothing. There's another story I spent nearly ten years working on the first book, that I'm debating on posting. We will see. Hope you enjoy and thanks for reading my work.

CH.2

Jack had woken up in a hospital. He finds that he's hooked to a heart monitor, a blood pressure cuff, and has a breathing apparatus in his nose and mouth. His arm is connected to a line attached to a water intravenous bag. He feels weak and hungry. He feels jolts of pain in his left arm and leg. He sees the call button and fights to get his arm up so he can manage to push the button. Eventually, a nurse enters the room to see who had pushed the button and is shocked to see Jack is awake. "Try not to move; let me go page the on-call doctor. I'm glad you were able to wake up. Be right back. Try not to move, alright? And don't mess with the breathing apparatus," she says, and Jack nods and confirms her request.

Jack tried to hold onto the dream he'd just woken up from, but it was like something was eating up the memory. Soon he'd completely forgotten about it. Soon several nurses and a doctor entered the room and checked on Jack. Pokes and squeezes were soon felt all over his body along with lights shining in his eyes. The doctor orders a battery of tests to be done and then asks Jack if he remembers his name. Jack shook his head yes and whispered, His name is Jack Thompson. The doctor asked what date he thought it was. Jack tells him the last date he remembered. The doctor smiled, saying, "Good. Very good." The doctor then asks what was the last thing Jack could remember before waking up.

Jack thinks a moment, trying to remember. "There was a dead baby, and I heard someone. No, it was two people trying to talk, but they had gargling and gasping noises in their voices. I... I remember trying to wake up Sarah. Sarah! What happened to Sarah? Is she okay?" Jack panics, triggering the heart monitor to set off an alarm. The doctor tells Jack to calm down while he cancels the alarm. "Jack, I need you to calm down and listen, alright? Take some deep breaths. Inhale through your nose. Hold it. Alright, exhale through your mouth. Do it again. Alright." The doctor got away from the side of the bed. He tells Jack that someone will be here soon to talk with him. The doctor avoided answering the question, and Jack saw the look on the doctor's face for that split second before becoming neutral again. The doctor leaves after the nurses, and ten minutes later the mother of Jessica's friend Kendra Lebas, Jillian Lebas, enters the room. Jack was friends with Kendra, but she was more so Jessica's best female friend. Jillian was a registered nurse working at the hospital Jack was in.

Jillian was mainly of a quarter French Caucasian, a quarter Spanish, and half African American. She was about five feet and six inches tall. She had a healthy, thick body. Her creamy, dark-tan skin was as shiny as her short, brown hair with blonde highlights that came down to her ears. She had a dark, creamy, gold eye color similar to that of her daughters. Her breasts, hips, thighs, and ass were large and thick in the right proportions. Her body screamed milf. He'd been by her house one day to return a baking pan set, and she'd been out swimming in their pool. The bikini she wore had become transparent, revealing her dark nipples and the trimmed patch above her crotch. He remembered something about her being from an area that was heavy in some sort of pagan religion of sorts. He remembered seeing a deck of tarot cards, candles, and crystals on the table by her lounge chair. Today she was wearing blue nurse scrubs and tennis shoes. She sat on the chair next to Jack after hugging him. "I'm glad you're finally awake, Jack. The girls are going to be thrilled to hear that you're awake again." She said in her English Cajun accent. They'd moved from Chalmette, Louisiana, when Kendra was fourteen. They never really gave a real reason why they moved, but they said they needed a change of scenery.

She has a sorrowful look in her eyes. "Jack, I need you to try and stay calm with what I'm about to tell you. It is some terrible news, but I would rather be the one to tell you rather than you find out after you get out of here. I'll be blunt with what I'm going to say, and I am sorry I'm having to say this to you at all. I really am. Just try and hold it together until I'm done, okay?" She asks, and Jack gets a sick feeling in the bottom of his stomach as he says alright. "Jack, on the day of the accident, Sarah passed away on impact. The medical examiner said that she didn't suffer at all." Jillian began saying. "What about the baby and the gurgling I remembered hearing?" Jack asked.

She looked confused. "Jack, you and Sarah were the only two in the car. There weren't any babies or children. It had to be your mind making up things. But back to what I was saying. She died on the scene. You were touch and go for a while yourself, but obviously, you managed to pull through. You do have severe nerve and bone damage to your left arm and leg. They were broken in multiple places, and some bone fragments are still lodged in there in a bad way. Along with that, there's some nerve and muscle damage that couldn't be fixed, unfortunately. You had debris that stabbed through you as well in several places. Even with therapy that you'll be getting, anything short of a miracle, you might get some mobility back, but you're going to need assistance more likely than not to get around and maybe everyday life. Hopefully, therapy will help. But that road won't be easy." She says, rubbing his right leg. Jack's eyes began to tear up quickly. He felt the agony building within him.

She grabbed his hand. "Jack, there's even more bad news I'm going to have to tell you. You've been in a comatose state for nearly five months. We tried to get in touch with your parents on the day of your accident but were unable to. We were still trying to get a hold of them when we found out that they were on the cruise. Ugh, I hate having to pile on the bad news, Jack. Jack, two days after the ship set sail, there was an explosion on the cruise liner. It sank quite quickly, but almost everybody managed to get off. Your parents and two other families unfortunately weren't able to make it off the boat before it sank. They got trapped and drowned. Their bodies had to be retrieved by diving crews. I am sorry for your loss, Jack. With the fact of all that's happened, it's minor in comparison, but without payments for months, your house was lost as well. Everything was moved into storage. I really am sorry for your losses, Jack. If you ever need anything, do not hesitate to call me, alright?" She says as Jack begins to cry. Jillian stands up and pulls Jack into a hug, holding him as he cries for the loss of his family.

Jack cried for a good bit and eventually calmed down to sniffling and sharp intakes of breaths. His world had just got turned upside down, but something inside him seemed to be consuming his sorrow as though he wasn't being allowed to mourn the loss of his family. Jillian rubbed his back and kissed his forehead as though she were his mother, consoling him. Jack's attention is turned to the door as another nurse comes to change out the IV bag. Jack was told that he'd have to adhere to a diet program to get back to eating normal foods and that his principal and an attorney would be by to speak with him. Jillian left saying she'd let the girls know he was awake. A minute later a nurse came to bring Jack to run some tests.

The following day was Monday, and at noon there was a knock at the door. His principal and another aging, well-dressed man enter the room. "Hey, Principal Morton. Hello, sir." Jack said, greeting his guests. His principal reminded him slightly of the principal from an animated television series, American Dad. He is a large, heavy, six-foot-three-inch-tall African American man. He used to play college football from what Jack knew. Coffee brown skin, short black hair, and a beard. With a deep, burly voice, he says, "Hello, Mr. Thompson. I'm glad to see you're awake. My condolences on the loss of your family. I feel partly to blame for allowing you all to leave school property. But I'll get to more on that in a bit. This is Mr. Conal Parcet. He's a lawyer who was retained to represent you with all the legal matters pertaining to you." They shake hands, and they all sit down. Jack asks about his schooling, and the principal says he'll get to that.

He began to ask Jack something. "Jack, what can you tell me about the day before and the day of the accident before the accident? I'll hear what you have to say, and then I'll tell you what happened after I get all the puzzle pieces." He says to Jack. Jack thought a moment and then began telling the principal what he remembered. The principal wasn't expecting much. The principal and the attorney listen to Jack's version of events, and then when Jack is complete, the two men briefly compare notes, and then the principal begins telling Jack what he knew through the results of questioning and investigations.

Monday, after receiving Jack's pictures of Timothy cheating on Jessica, he had stormed into the boys' locker room and confronted Timothy. She marched up to him yelling. "You fucking cheating-ass bastard. You can't get into my pants because I want to wait, so you decide it's alright to go fuck that cum slut Becky?" She growled, jabbing his chest with her fingers. "Babe, I don't know what you're talking about. Honestly! I've been faithful to you! Whoever said I was cheating was lying." He said, raising his hands in a defensive pose. "Is that so? Then this must be someone else who looks like you and is wearing your football jacket, right?" She says as she pulls up the pictures on the phone and shoves it in his face. His friends and teammates watch from a distance as their leader is getting his ass handed to him.

Timothy feels his face turn red as he sees himself clear as day getting a blowjob and fucking Becky as she's bent over between the buildings. He glances at the sender and sees that it's Jessica's friend Jack just before she pulls the phone away and puts it into her pocket. "Not only are you a cheating bastard, you're a lying son of a bitch! I am SO glad I didn't give in to you and go all the way with you. Words of advice before I walk out of your life: go get yourself checked before sleeping with anyone else. You never know what you'll get screwing someone who will fuck anyone. Hell, yesterday she was talking about the gang bang she had at a college party she went to. Lose my number and don't talk to me ever again!" Jessica left the locker room heading to class.

Timothy had tried to locate Jack but wasn't able to. The day of the accident, Timothy was outside with his friends and saw Jack and his sister show up at school and rush in. Timothy and his friends got under the car messing with the brake systems and then headed into the school. A neighbor was drinking her coffee and looking out the window and saw the whole thing. She made a note to call the school after finishing her errands. Then the wreck happened. Had she seen Jack and her sister come back out, she would've tried to holler at them before they got into the car.

The truck driver got out of his truck and rushed over to the accident. Sarah had died, and Jack wasn't too far behind her. Jack had broken pieces that had stabbed through him in several spots. He had a broken arm and leg. He was bleeding badly and losing consciousness. Jack was carefully pulled from the car and tried to wake Jack up. Emergency crews finally arrived and tried to revive Sarah but had no luck. The police were taking statements when the neighbor who was drinking coffee arrived at the wreck. She saw the car and instantly regretted not calling the school sooner. She thought she had time.

The police visited the school parking lot and saw the puddle of brake fluid on the ground. They assumed that Sarah had enough pressure to brake to maneuver out of the parking spot, but that was it. They look around and see security cameras. Arriving at the front office, police talked with the principal and explained what had happened. The principal was mortified and managed to hold his feelings in check. They pull up the footage of the parking lot, and the principal recognizes all the students involved. He, without any luck, tried to call Jack and Sarah's parents, and the vice principal was tasked with calling the parents of the other students involved. The secretary was calling the students from their classes.

Half an hour later the parents of the student involved are rushing into the school. They were simply told that there was an accident and that their children were involved in it. They're told that they were needed at the school immediately. Their faces show signs of relief as they see that they are okay. They go to rush to their kids, but the principal stops them and ushers them into a room along with the students. As they sit everyone down, Mr. Morton begins to talk. "I've called you all here today because, unfortunately, two of my students have gotten into an accident. They were rushing home to get forgotten things they needed. Shortly after leaving the school grounds, they got into an accident, and here we are." He said, looking at them all. Some of the students shifted in their seats.

One of the parents spoke up, interrupting the principal as he was about to speak again. "I'm quite sure I speak for all of us when I say we're all sorry that this has happened to them. Maybe they should be more careful from now on. But what does this have to do with OUR children? You called us out of our jobs and lives, telling us that our kids were involved in an accident, and they seem perfectly fine! Mrs. Richardson and I were in the process of closing a very important contract when we were called away. Thank you very much! Or are you implying that our kids had something to do with what happened today? Because if you are, we will sue this school for slander!" She rudely snapped at the principal.

Mr. Morton bit the inside of his bottom lip and gripped the pen in his hand, crushing it in on itself. Rather than mentioning what he would like to say, he kept his composure. He was likely going to get hell for allowing students to leave the campus as it is, and he didn't want to add to the issues already at hand. "I assure you the last thing I wanted to do today was have a meeting like we are having. But before you up and interrupted me, I was about to get to the reason why you are all here! It seems that your kids got under the car of the students involved in the accident and tampered with the brake system of the car, which led them into getting into the accident." The principal stated. Then Timothy blurted out that it wasn't true. He said that they were inside the school all morning.

The principal raised his hand and stopped him from talking before he continued what he was saying. "If you'll let me finish what I have to say. One of the students, Sarah, has died at the scene. Her brother Jack is in bad condition and is undergoing surgery. He might not make it." The parents tell the principal that their children are good kids. And they would never do anything of the sort. "We raise our kids right!" one parent stated as a matter of fact.

The principal hits a button and turns to his computer. The lights darkened, and a video on the large television started playing. The parents and students watch the events of that morning unfold exactly as they were claimed to have happened. Several of the parents become sick to their stomachs, and others start scolding their kids. While their attention was focused on the kids, the principal turned the lights back up and waved his hand in the air. "As of this moment, all your kids are henceforth expelled from this school and functions pertaining to this school. But you're likely going to have more serious issues to deal with from here on out. May I now turn your attention over to the police officers behind you? The kids were charged and arrested. As the students were being led out of the school, their parents were already on the phone with their lawyers.

The principal sighed. "Well, that's everything from what I know from what I know. Now about your schooling. Your school counselor, teachers, and I have talked with the school board. We've come to an agreement that with your grades, the fact you have hardly missed school, and if you happen to survive, you'd have a great deal with healing and other matters at hand. So we agreed that we would go ahead and graduate you. Here is your certificate of diploma, and these are your cap and gown. Let's get these on you and get a picture taken for you." Mr. Morton said as he pulled things out of a bag. Mr. Parcet snapped a picture with a digital camera and then another with a Polaroid camera, producing a physical picture. "Well Jack, I wish you the best with your recovery and therapy, and before I forget, your personal items that were at school were collected and placed in storage along with the items that were in the house your parents were renting. We tried to get the landlord to be reasonable, but he was kind enough to let the stuff in the house get collected and put into storage. Mr. Parcet here will give you more on that. Take care, son. I need to get back to the school." With that, the principal left.

Mr. Parcet was getting up in age. His hair was almost all white with very little traces of black. His pale skin started showing age spots and wrinkles. He has slim bifocals over his light gray eyes. His three-piece suit was a dark gray with navy blue pinstripes with a navy blue handkerchief. He picks up his briefcase and pulls out several legal manila envelopes. "So Mr. Thompson, as previously mentioned, I am Conal Parcet. I normally prefer to deal with matters in my office, but upon request by an individual to make haste with these matters, well, here I am. I was retained to be your family's lawyer and represent you in your legal matters that happened and any foreseeable matters that may arise." He said, placing a business card on the table.

He then got busy. "The first matter is the case of the incident with you and your sister. I represented you and, on behalf of you, your sister Sarah, in the case vs. the families of the students who sabotaged your sister's vehicle. This case was brought forward at unprecedented speed by an unknown facilitator behind the scenes. These types of cases normally take quite some time to build up the case. But with video evidence and a willing judge, this case was brought forth behind closed doors. This matter was broken into two cases but was held at one time. The first is you, Jack Thompson, versus the defendants. And the second is Sarah Thompson versus the defendants. In your case, based on video evidence, doctors' testimonies, therapy, aided living expenses, and pain and suffering factors, after deductions, you were awarded a sum of four hundred nineteen million, six hundred and twenty-five thousand, eight hundred and fifty-eight dollars. My legal fees, your medical bills, and therapy bills to come have been factored out already. Per the agreement from both parties, by signing this, you acknowledge that you're unable to go after any of the defendants anymore about this case." Jack shook his head in agreement.
