Well well, it has been a while! Nearly a year at this point. Sorry to everyone that was invested in the story, work swamped me and then life did, but i'm back! I'll hopefully get started on a new chapter this week and it's gonna be a big one! but until then, here's something to tide you over. -Xlydren
"It's a pleasure to meet you X, my my, my sister really was a lucky one to sink her teeth into you first..." War said with a grin.
Beside her, war's horse snorted, smoke billowing from its nose. It stamped its foot down, showing its hatred, or at least the fact that he was very displeased with the situation that it currently found itself in. War leant over and whispered into its ear before it bowed and galloped off. Angela moved to my side, putting her hand on my shoulder. Thinking about it now, I wasn't sure about their relationship as sisters, as she seemed a lot more possessive than War did.
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you too War. This is quite a lot though, first Death, now War? Please don't tell me I'll meet Famine next...." Started Xavier.
"I'm sure she'll pop along soon enough..." replied War.
"Wait, w-what?" I stuttered.
"So anyways, as I was saying, my darling sister was so very lucky to get her mitts into you first" War monologued, walking around me and whispering into my ears.
Reader, I must say that I'm not too proud of this moment, so please do not judge me on it, but being surrounded by beautiful women had made it so certain biological things happened quite quickly.
"So, War, although I would rather call you a different name than "War", much like I have with Angela since I keep thinking of the four horsemen, or I guess horsewomen of the apocalypse" I answered.
"Well, how about Valkyria? I always appreciated a fierce woman defending her king, and as a bonus they were hot as fuck" she laughed.
Welp, even more info that I really didn't want to know, and I felt that I shouldn't really know either. Silence lingered for a moment before the elephant in the room was addressed, where were we, why were we all together and what did Valkyria mean when she said she chose me?
We walked along to a set of table and chairs that had appeared from thin air. I don't think I'd ever get used to objects just appearing out of thin air, however practical it was. I sat opposite Valkyria, Angela sitting beside me.
"Well then, spit it out. Why are we here?" Angela sighed.
"Well, I wanted to meet this hunk that you've been hiding from me. Death, I chose him. I was blessed by our Higher Gods to choose a human and guide him to the path of victory!" Valkyria cried, raising her fist triumphantly, acting more like a spoiled child than a victorious warrior.
More information that I had to ask for clarification about, Higher Gods? There were people even more powerful than War and Death? Was God more powerful than War and Death? Was there someone even more powerful than God? Were there multiple gods?
"I know what you saw X. I felt him too, when you were sent back to your realm, I felt his presence. I felt his corruption." Valkyria murmured.
"So, you know what that thing was? That demon who tried to kill me?" I asked.
"Unfortunately, I do. And times have been changing for the past thousand years. Us Gods and Godesses have gotten weak, lazy. Neglecting our duties to not only humanity, but to the whole universe" Valkyria whispered, staring straight into my eyes.
"What the fuck are you talking about War? I've been doing my job for the past thousand years, and no one has even been to check up on me. Our sisters have been doing their jobs too, how dare you say we've gotten complacent and lazy. Maybe you have, seeing as how humanity would rather fuck themselves over with missiles instead of swords and spears like before, you don't even need to influence anything anymore. They'll bomb themselves just because they can. We haven't gotten lazy, you have!" Angela shouted at her sister.
"SISTER!" Vakyria roared, unsheathing her sword quickly and pointing it towards her sister. "How dare you! I am trying to help this human. I would remind you that he is mine, by law of the Gods. Or have you forgotten your place? You may be the Goddess of Death, living eternally and reaping us all, but do not forget your place amongst us." Valkyria stated.
Angela rose from her seat, knocking her chair backwards and gesturing her hands in the air. A wooden handle appeared in her left hand, and while gripping it with both hands, the top end of a scythe appeared and attached itself to the wooden handle.
