Tim sat in his office and thought about the changes to his body. The first thing he noticed was that his hearing and sight were better. This morning the girl's perfumes smelled wonderful, and he could almost discern the difference between the ingredients.
Now that he knew the bed had improved his senses, he wondered how much improvement had been made and what else was changed.
He had left the door to his office open because he wanted to hear voices and movements. Sitting there, he got a whiff of perfume, remembering this morning, and thought, '
that should be Tabitha
,'
Tabitha came through the door and asked, "Tim, do you have a minute?"
Tim smiled and said, "Of course, what do you need?"
Tabitha came over, took a chair, and pulled it next to his desk. She sat and said, "Tim, my father would like you to help plan the upcoming fight."
Tim looked at her strangely. "What fight are we talking about?"
"Sorry, several things have happened since you had your fight with the giant." She then told him the whole story and what was happening on her world.
"Sure, you know I'll help. Ask him when he needs me to be there."
Tabitha got up, moved around the desk, and kissed Tim. Straightening, she said, "I'll call my father and set everything up."
Tim watched Tabitha stroll out the door with her tail moving back and forth. Just as she walked out the door, she looked over her shoulder, moved the tail straight into the air, and winked.
Tim smiled and remembered last night and the multiple times they had sex and her raising that tail.
Shaking his head and thought, '
down boy, maybe later. But I should see Harris and check how they are doing.'
Tim walked across the bridge and told Sarha where he was going. He went to the MTS and onto the grounds next to Harris's shuttle. He looked around and saw that many people were working in the area around the shuttle.
Harris saw Tim, walked over, and asked, "Tim, I hope you are feeling better?"
"Yes and thank you. I feel much better now. I see you are improving your living area."
"Yes, I have to thank you, the people coming down to help are doing a great job." Harris pointed to an area where the people and bots were building a warehouse. "That is going to be a warehouse for grain we are going to grow." He pointed out another area that would be a place for someone to stay or live if they wanted to come.
He then pointed to a tower. "Tim, your AI said that the bots would place a weapon and scanner there to provide us with some protection."
"I know it's only been a few days, but have you heard from the giant?" Tim looked around in the direction the giant had come from.
"No, I think it will be a while before he returns."
Dhenra looks out the shuttle door and sees Tim. She approached and kissed him. "Thank you for coming to our rescue. Now I can walk outside without being afraid."
"We're glad to help. Harris said that they were building a place for someone to stay. Do you want others here?"
Dhenra looked at Harris and commented, "We have been 32 years by ourselves. We could use the company."
"Well, we have people on six worlds that might enjoy coming to your world for a visit. Some may even want to stay if you agree."
Dhenra turned to Harris and asked, "Baby, if they can come here. Could we go someplace and visit for a time? Maybe a honeymoon since we've never had one."
Harris looked sad and said, "Dhenra, we're not married."
Dhenra's face fell, and she simply said, "Oh." Turning, she walked away with her head hanging.
Harris moved after her. He grabbed her arm and pulled her back toward Tim. "Tim, if Dhenra will have me as her husband, would you marry us?"
Tim looked at both. Seeing a smile on Dhenra's face, how could he say No? "Yes, I will be honored to marry you."
Harris turned to Dhenra and asked, "Will you ..."
"Yes!" she shouted.
"... Marry me?" he finished, fighting a chuckle as she answered before he could get the question out.
Dhenra looked at Tim, "Do I need a bridesmaid?"
Tim smiled and said, "I know a lady that will be happy to do that and also a best man."
Harris said, looking at Tim, "We don't want our wedding to be a burden."
"It's not. I believe everything will work out."
"Well, we don't have anyone to watch the shuttle while we are gone."
Tim smiled and said, "We might be able to find someone to help with that."
Dhenra turned, bounced into Harris's arms, and said, "See, we could go." She placed her arms around his neck and kissed him. She turned to Tim and asked, "When can you do it?"
Tim looked into her eyes and said, "Tomorrow evening. I will send the bridesmaid and a dressmaker bot if you want a wedding dress."
Dhenra, with tears silently flowing down her cheeks, "I never thought this would happen like this. But oh, yes, a wedding dress would be great. Thank you."
Dhenra and Harris walked back into the shuttle in each other's arms.
Tim turned and walked into the MTS and headed toward Deniece's place. He was going to see if she would be the bridesmaid and if Wendy wanted to be a Flower girl.
Tim knocked on the door, and David opened it. He looked at Tim and said, "Is my mom your wife? Does that make you, our father?"
With a shocked look, Tim just stood there, not knowing what to say.
Deniece walked up behind David. "David, I told you that Tim and I are not married, and he annulled the marriage."
David looked at his mother and said, "But, you were married, which would make Tim our father."
Tim stood in the doorway and listened to the conversation. Deniece looked at him and he shrugged his shoulders. "David is right, and we were married for ten minutes. So, he may be right to a point." Tim kneeled and said, "David, yes, your mother and I were married by mistake while we were both being healed. But that doesn't make me your father."
"But Wendy and I want you to be our father." He turned and ran into his room, slamming the door.
