Callum
Part 2 "Food Play"
A scream erupted from the human woman's mouth as the Daemon snatched her by the hair and hauled her from the dance floor. His lips were on top of hers, swallowing her fear down, before anyone beside them would notice. She instantly relaxed lazily into his arms, grabbing at his long hair for more. Once their impassioned kiss was finished they made their way through the dance club.
Callum had not expected the half angel half demon hybrid to saunter up to the woman with dark hair and lovely brown eyes that peered at them from across the sardine packed room. Her eyes followed them, visibly interested in the after-party they were going to attend by the pheromones secreting from her sweat. When he got near her he used his purring inflection to cast an unworldly spell on her, making her his slave for the night.
Callum's blood boiled, an after effect of fear and arousal from the sheer dominance the Daemon was demonstrating. He scented she was ready to grab a drink with them and head back to their place before she was glamoured - a consensual sign she was going freely with them. Callum didn't fuck with the laws that stated no unwillingly human shall be touched or made into food.
The Daemon didn't play by the laws or the rules, being the only powerful being enough to enforce them, having their own way with whatever they pleased.
Tension festered between Callum's shoulders as he was escorted by the Daemon to the exit with their pet in tow. She clung onto Callum's arm in her drunken bespelled state, wobbling as she walked from the too high of heels she mistakenly wore to match her friends. Her friends were glamoured as well to keep up the appearance that this young woman had gone home in an uber early to sober up before daylight.
Daylight would wait for another day - their descent into the Underworld consuming the rays of the sun from their view.
The Daemon had opened up a portal near the alley way of the club, beckoning for Callum and his sloppy food to enter. It was in poor taste to choose a victim with this incoherent state of mind - dampening the mood for the cat and mouse chase Callum enjoyed from his usual prey. Callum couldn't keep the disdain off of his face as he made his way down the long cold steps into the black abyss of hell.
"Cheer up old Chap!"
The Daemon called behind him, taunting him with a fake accent.
It took everything in Callum to hold back a hiss.
"You said you were hungry so I thought bringing food to our date tonight would put you in a better mood," The Daemon leered, his footsteps barely audible on the stone slab behind him.
Callum waited for his frustration to pass to respond to the lethal creature at his back.
"I don't play with food that is so intoxicated it can't think for itself," Callum tried to leave out a hiss and failed as he shot back to the Daemon his displeasure.
"Oh that silly human condition?" The Daemon snapped their fingers behind him and the woman at his side suddenly sobered, "All you had to do was ask."
The woman blinked and became unsettled as her senses were more alert in the dimly lit barren staircase.
"Wha-what am I doing here? Wh-whe-where am I?"
She stumbled on her words as she almost fell down the stairs.
Callum caught her before she could tumble out of his reach, placing a hand on hers and using his powers to slow her thudding heart.
"You are invited to an exclusive after-party," He leaned in and whispered in her ear, the tone of his voice soothing any worry that awoke with her sober state.
The tense claw on his arm relaxed into a warm squeeze, signaling his power of persuasion worked to quell any anxious thoughts she had.
Their feet touched the bottom, showing a carved marble room with lanterns and torches illuminating a single elevator door.
Callum turned towards the woman and brushed a piece of hair behind her ear, his eyes bore into hers as he willed himself to see beyond her human features and into her mind. Her psyche consisted of horses and spring flowers, showing a ranch with wild cattle and rolling hills of prairies. She had grown up in the south and made her way to New York to start a new life. The woman had curated her new persona for hours, ditching her southern accent and small town living style, to blend in with the wolves lurking on wall street.
This woman seemed... sweet.
Callum's throat bobbed as he gulped down his first encounter feeling sorry... for a human.
He had never ventured into the mind of a human before, not like this, before making them his food.
Callum had half a thought to tell the woman to run but knew the Daemon was watching his every move. He would let her decide her fate.
"Daisy," He said her name out loud as he concentrated on the images in her mind. A flash of her parents and the flower she was named after displayed behind her eyes, "We are going to partake in dangerous...games..." he began, unsure of how to explain his fangs with a mundane woman, "They might... hurt you... is that alright?"
The gentleness felt foreign on his tongue as he was without his predatory grace.
The woman had multiple images flash through her mind, including depressive episodes involving self harm and drinking herself to oblivion. Her mind clouded with sorrow and sadness - showing Callum Daisy was not without knowing pain herself.
"I have a high pain tolerance," She smiled and acted cute, her scent shifting to show that she was trying to impress him due to her attraction for him. Callum felt a pang in his chest and almost told the woman the truth when the Daemon walked up next to them and clapped a hand on his back.
"Great! The after-party is at my place," he winked at her as his fingers slightly dug into Callum's back - a warning to continue their deadly game.
With a small sigh Callum slid his gaze to the Daemon and nodded his head, continuing their party to the elevator that loomed in the cavernous room.
The Daemon waved his fingers in a pattern that made the elevator doors fly open with a swift command. They all stepped inside with the elevator doors shutting behind them. As soon as the doors shut they reopened to a penthouse loft overlooking the city below.
Callum was caught off guard by how ordinary the room looked with a messy kitchen filled with kitchen ware in the sink and old clothes thrown over plush decor. The apartment resembled a frat boys city escape, not a demi-gods palace.
"Come on in! Grab a drink!" the Daemon ushered them both inside and opened the fridge to find nothing was in the fridge, "Nah, who am I kidding, we aren't here for... refreshments."
