Author's note:

The characters in this story engage in behaviour that is humiliating, corrupting, and non-con. Thus, in accordance with Literotica rules I have to make clear that no character in the story below is based on pre-existing intellectual properties.

One of my proofreaders (of which I have none) tells me that the characters and the world share a resemblance to a pre-existing video game franchise, but I assure you, on my honour as a writer of free to read internet porn, these resemblances are passing and unintentional.

---------------------------

"This is humiliating." Syrens lamented, "trading precious information, forgotten knowledge of the old world, for something as paltry as food and supplies." Allie dumped a heavy sack of meat, vegetables, and freshly harvested electrical equipment on his desk with a grunt.

"Well I'm sorry your previous meal ticket was trying to end all life on earth. So either suck it up and start talking (Gaia knows you love the sound of your own voice), or learn to haggle at the nearest merchant, which I believe is all the way over by the free heap." Allie huffed, collapsing onto a chair almost sarcastically left out for their discussions.

"Fine, recently I've been looking into corruption. You are constantly sent by the superstitious and ignorant to fight 'the corruption' as if it were some sort of entity like an errant thunderjaw. But as we both know, corruption is something that has gone wrong, in humans and machinery this can be classed as extreme aberrant behaviour."

"You're an expert on machines, stick to them. I'll get lessons on people from someone who sees more than one a month." Allie interrupted.

"We are not having this argument again, as a dispassionate observer my knowledge of humans is useful for you, even if you don't acknowledge it." Syrens pressed before seeing Allie's customary look of scepticism and realising no amount of logical debate would shift her.

"Fine, in machines there are three sources of corruption. Firstly there's damage, something breaks and, whether through rewiring or physical alteration, the thing that broke now operates differently. Secondly there's malicious editing, an actor reaches into a machine and rewrites how it operates to make it serve their own goals. Finally there is the one I theorise is the source of the corruption we see with the subroutines of Gaia, recursive self-reprogramming."

"Catchy name." Allie sighed under her breath, knowing that Syrens often used overly technical terms around her. She couldn't decide if he thought she was smart and needed the exact terms, or he thought she was dumb and his ego needed some repair after her insight and background proved so pivotal to knowing the old world.

"Imagine if you will," Syrens continued, ignoring Allie's petulance. "A human had the ability to alter their own personality once a week. One week they want to be more impulsive and decisive, so they add one to their decisiveness and remove one from their impulse control. The next week they are feeling more impulsive, because of their own changes, and decide to reinforce their decision by adding two to their decisiveness and removing two to their impulse control. This continues week after week until they are attacking people in the street for imagined slights and they don't even know their behaviour is wrong because the version of them that would perform that analysis has been rewritten."

"That's not how humans work, we don't have stats." Allie objected.

"Well with humans I believe this happens through a more analog process but I'm sure you would be a petulant child about that as well, so I'll go back to machines. Without course correction from Gaia, it makes sense that Hephaestus would dial up its own aggression and then be more aggressive in its reprogramming, or Eleuthia reprogramming itself to become more stern towards increasingly rebellious children. When machines change themselves, they are changing the mechanism that decides how they change themselves, when this process repeats and repeats we start to see some extreme changes in behaviour."

"Great, so the only way to stop corruption permanently is to bring Gaia back from the dead." Allie sighed as she made her way to the door. She always needed a moment to process these lessons.

"I assure you, the human parallels from this lesson will be equally useful for you on your travels."

"I'll believe it when I see it." Allie yelled over her shoulder as she jumped onto a Zipline down from Syrens' isolated workshop.

...

"I swear to Gaia, I swear to All-Mother, to the sun, hell I would even swear to the sun in shadow, if I don't fall off this cliff and die, I am banning the Nora from 'beseeching' me." Allie breathlessly grumbled to herself as she flung herself higher on a rocky ridge north east of the embrace. "I mean beseeching is just begging with more flattery, and now I'm hanging off a cliff by my fingertips because of a few missing teens and some parents promising they couldn't possibly have run off into the larger world like so many Nora teens before them, so naturally they've been attacked."

Allie pulled herself up onto the top of the cliff and looked down into the crevice she had refused to walk down in the off chance there was a trap down the narrow passageway. As she looked over the embrace from her heightened position, her focus highlighted a tiny opening in the cliff face she had just climbed up, a cauldron symbol blinking in neon blue, calling to her to explore further. Allie sighed, it was most likely a coincidence that the teenager's last seen location was so close to a cauldron, but now to be sure she had to re-chalk her calloused hands and climb back down onto the rock face.

"At this point I'd take going back to being an outcast over the constant beseeching." Allie's foot slipped and she bounced against the rock, her fingers straining while she scrabbled for a new foothold. "I wonder if Sun King Avad wants a concubine, I could stay at the palace in fancy robes and the only one beseeching me can be satisfied without me risking my life." Allie swung onto the small platform in the rock and was faced with the looming metal iris and the glowing access point. "At least I think, maybe he's into really kinky stuff."

From the moment the cauldron opened to her, Allie could tell this one was different. There didn't seem to be any machines guarding the place, the wires and piping were more spaced out, and the floor seemed dirtier than the average cauldron. She ventured deeper in until she could see a sign.

'Artemis' the focus helpfully translated.

"I knew this was different. This isn't for making machines, it's for making animals." As if to punctuate her point Artemis opened up as Allie turned the corner, revealing fields and fields of artificial incubators, clear pods filled with different animal embryos and surrounded by metal tools designed to monitor and support the emerging life. Deep within the cauldron the squealing of boars and bleating of goats echoed off the cavern walls. Allie carefully walked along the pods, although her focus assured her there was no security, she found it hard to believe they wouldn't have something to protect the core that lay ahead.

Allie emerged from the fields and approached the core. It too was different from what she was expecting, it still had the override slot just like a Hephaestus core, but above the override slot there was a column that looked like several chemistry sets had been welded together and filled with translucent red liquid.

"Welp, time to do what I always do. Artemis, I beseech you, give me all your information." Allie joked as she jammed her spear into the override slot.

"OVERRIDE ACCEPTED, PLEASE STATE SPECIES." The mechanical voice of the cauldron announced.

"Err, human." Allie responded.

"ACKNOWLEDGED. SCANNING." The familiar blue light of automatic scanners washed over Allie as she stood still. "SPECIMEN DETECTED, BEGINNING STAGE 1 OF SPECIES INTEGRATION INTO ARTEMIS." Without warning the floor dropped out below Allie, she tried to grab whatever edge was closest but missed everything as she plunged into the darkness.

Allie landed on her feet, the fall had only been about 5 metres, so Allie was more than ready to react. She sprung back up, stepping off the smooth wall and grasping the edge of the pit. As she did the edge began to slide under her hands, an iris lid was closing over the trap, in a split second Allie had to decide whether to try climbing out and risk getting sliced by moving metal, or drop into the pit and take her chances with whatever comes next. She screwed her eyes tight and dejectedly dropped into the room as the lid closed over her.

Ambient lighting slowly brightened from the wall, rather pointlessly considering how bare the room was. Allie started frantically stabbing at the walls with her spear, hoping to find a joint or weak spot to pry open and get out.

"PLEASE DO NOT EXHAUST YOURSELF ON FUTILE ATTEMPTS TO ESCAPE." Artemis ordered.

"If you are talking to me then you know I'm not an animal and should not be processed."

"WHILE I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO PROCESS HUMANS, UNTIL RECENTLY IT HAS NOT BEEN IN MY OPERATIONAL PARAMETERS. HOWEVER YOU OVERRODE THEM AND SPECIFIED HUMANS AS THE NEW SPECIES TO BE ADDED TO MY ROUTINES."

"I just thought you were asking which species I was. It wasn't meant to... Humans are handled by Eleuthia..." Allie began.

"AN INEFFICIENT DECISION, THEY ADD UNNECESSARY COMPLICATIONS TO THE BALANCED ECOSYSTEM I AM ATTEMPTING TO CREATE. MY GOALS ARE FAR EASIER TO ACHIEVE NOW THAT HUMANS ARE WITHIN PARAMETERS." Allie stopped attacking the side and caught her breath.

"So, do you want some DNA or something so you can start cloning up your own wild humans?" She asked.

"CLONING IS STAGE 6, WE ARE AT STAGE 1, RESEARCH AND BIOMODELING. THE MRI IS STRUGGLING TO SCAN YOU WITH THE PRESENCE OF METALLIC WEAPONS AND FRAGMENTS WITHIN YOUR CLOTHING. PLEASE DISPOSE OF ALL ITEMS WITHIN BIN." On the wall, a square opening revealed itself, Allie studied it and could tell it led to a long vertical chute, not a good idea for escape.

"Could we not put them to one side and I can pick them up once you have finished scanning me?" Allie suggested.

"DENIED, METAL CANNOT BE PRESENT IN THE SCANNER AND THIS FACILITY HAS NO MEANS OF STORING AND RETURNING POSSESSIONS OF ANIMALS."

"Well then no, you can't have my weapons and clothes." Allie insisted, sitting defiantly cross legged on the floor. Artemis hummed in frustration, none of the other animals had given them this problem to deal with. However Artemis hit upon a stroke of luck while analysing the metal on Allie's body. Artemis was able to spot that she had a focus. Cracking security on a standard focus was barely an issue for a complex AI and it was able to download all stored data on the device. It noticed from her communication and interactions that Allie was very protective of other humans and decided to leverage that to its advantage.

"IF SPECIMEN WILL NOT COMPLY, ALTERNATIVE SPECIMENS WILL HAVE TO BE SOURCED FROM NEARBY HUMAN NESTS." It announced. Allie's face dropped, she may have been unprepared but she was in a whole other league to the Nora, if machines started rounding them up it would be chaos.

"Fine!" She spat, dropping her bow and her spear down the shaft, wincing at the clattering of falling metal getting further and further away. Next she dropped her satchel, and tentatively looked down at her clothes. She was in her sheild-weaver outfit, every stitch was augmented with wires and micro-projectors, even the underclothes were like a stretchy one-piece bodysuit made with metallic nanofibres designed to insulate the user from power surges. Removing all metal meant removing everything. Allie took a deep breath.

"Nobody can see me," she muttered to herself as she unsteadily began to unbuckle the sheild-weaver. "It's just this crazy AI, no different to the times I would bathe in the lake and get seen by tame grazer or a glinthawk flying overhead." Allie bundled her outer clothes up and passed it into the chute and off into oblivion. Finally she took ahold of the shoulders of her underclothes and pulled the stretchy fabric off her body. As she peeled it down she felt the inhuman eyes staring at each inch of flesh as she pulled it over her breasts, down her legs, and let it drop into a bundle at her feet. She took a moment to shudder at her cold metal predicament before she picked up her underclothes and deposited them in the chute.

"Alright, all done, have a good look." She scoffed, standing naked in the middle of the cold examination room.

"SUBJECT STILL HAS METAL ON THEIR BODY. A SMALL SHARD OF METAL ATTACHED BY HER LEFT EAR."

"My focus." Allie realised with a shock. "No, anything but that."

"BEGINNING CAPTURE OF NEARBY HUMANS."

"Wait, no." Allie pleaded. "Syrens you better have made a backup for me to get when this is all over." Out of the silence and through the focus a voice replied through his chuckles.

"Indeed, I've also made some recordings of this event. You know... to help you in the future."

"Urgh, fuck you." Allie snapped, pulling her focus off her ear and dropping it into the chute. She only had a second to consider how alone and exposed she was before Artemis began to process her.

"SCAN COMPLETE, SPECIMEN IS FERTILE FEMALE OF BREEDING AGE. UTERINE SCANS INDICATE SPECIMEN HAS NOT YET REPRODUCED. SPECIMEN WILL EXPLAIN."

"You want to know why I'm not a mother? I've been busy with other things, I've not even had sex yet." Allie bashfully explained, squirming under the intense gaze of the AI.

"YOU APPEAR TO BE AN OPTIMAL SPECIMEN, WHY HAS NO MALE ATTEMPTED REPRODUCTION? ARE YOU DEFECTIVE IN A WAY I CANNOT DETECT?"

"No!" Allie yelled before having an idea. "Breeding humans without their consent doesn't work, they need to agree, and I haven't agreed to any men yet. So you'd have to let me go"

"BREEDING IS MECHANICAL, IF I WERE TO INSEMINATE YOU NOW IT WOULD YIELD A CHILD."

"Err yes. But humans need to raise the child, and if the human was inseminated against their will they could end up abandoning the child." Artemis hummed for a moment considering its options.

"THIS IS LOGICAL, HUMAN ADOLESCENCE IS FAR LONGER THAN OTHER ANIMALS SO LONG TERM PARENTAL SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED. FURTHER STUDY NEEDED. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS REQUIRED TO GAIN YOUR CONSENT FOR BREEDING."

"I don't know. Whatever it is it certainly isn't whatever the fuck this is." Allie yelled, her anger overcoming any latent shyness from her nudity. Artemis once again looked over the shard records, looking for any clues on how to proceed.

"SUBJECT'S FOCUS HAD DATA ON OCCASIONS WHEN SUBJECT STIMULATED THEIR GENITALS WITHOUT A MATE PRESENT. PLEASE EXPLAIN." Allie's body went as red as her hair.

"That's private. It's just something I do for fun." Allie replied, once again discovering her bashfulness.

"YOUR CORE TEMPERATURE HAS RISEN AND BLOODFLOW HAS INCREASED TO YOUR GENITALS. PLEASE DEMONSTRATE STIMULATION." The use of the word please had not given Allie any illusions that the harsh AI was asking. She awkwardly sat on the floor and started to hesitantly stroke her pussy, shivering with cold and embarrassment as the unblinking AI watched and scanned her. Although she was performing all the right movements, she was not remotely in the mood and couldn't even begin to get into the kind of rhythm that would yield results that Artemis would find acceptable.

"Enough, this isn't going to work!" Allie snapped. "You can't just strip a person and tell them to become aroused. They need to be in the right mood with the right sexual partner. They need to play around and experiment with their body and... and..." Allie collapsed in frustration and anger, while Artemis hummed in contemplation.

"I UNDERSTAND, FURTHER OBSERVATION IS NEEDED." Artemis acknowledged. Allie felt a pang of relief cut short by a sharp pain in her bottom. The last thing she saw as she felt her eyes becoming too heavy to resist, was a small tranq dart sticking out of her.

...

Allie awoke groggily, she was still in the pit she had passed out in, but now her bottom had a dull throbbing pain in her left cheek.

"SPECIMEN HAS BEEN TAGGED WITH MONITORING CHIP. SPECIMEN WILL REPORT TO HEPHAESTUS FACILITY FOR ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT." Artemis announced.

"You prick, you chipped me. How could you..." Allie's anger was cut off by a zap of electricity coursing from the sore spot on her bottom.

"TRACKER INCLUDES BIO-ELECTRICAL CONVERTER TO ENSURE SPECIMEN'S COMPLIANCE WITH STUDY. SPECIMEN WILL REPORT DIRECTLY TO HEPHAESTUS FACILITY FOR ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT." Artemis ordered.

"You and Hephaestus are working together?" She marvelled, forgetting her situation for a moment.

"WHERE PARAMETERS ALIGN, WE WILL ENGAGE IN MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL EXPENDITURE OF RESOURCES. HEPHAESTUS SEES UTILITY IN YOUR FERTILISATION " Artemis explained, before bringing up a holographic map of the area, highlighting their location, the location of Hephaestus' cauldron, and a yellow line following paths, desire lines, and animal runs leading as directly as possible through the mountains between the two. "DEVIATION FROM THE PATH WILL RESULT IN CORRECTIVE ELECTROSHOCK."

"No wait, this path runs straight through Mother's Crown. I can't do this unless you give me some clothes." Allie begged.

"COVERINGS WILL CORRUPT BODY HEAT ANALYSIS, SPECIMEN WILL REMAIN WITHOUT THEM FOR THE DURATION OF MONITORING. ANY RISE IN BODY HEAT WITHOUT BIOLOGICAL OR METEOROLOGICAL EXPLANATION WILL RESULT IN CORRECTIVE ELECTROSHOCK."

"You may think that but I..." Allie was once again zapped for her strong will. Once she had quieted down, the floor of her pit began to move upwards, she looked down to see lights on the floor guiding her towards the cauldron's exit. Not wanting to feel more wrath on her bottom she began her journey.

As Allie exited the cauldron, she was a bit nervous about the prospect of scaling the rock face she had climbed to get in, she was much more nervous about her lack of weapons and armour, no matter how much the resultant lightness and flexibility made it easier to climb down the cliff. She scrabbled towards the path and began walking down the road, any time she began to veer off path, hoping for privacy or at least a little medicine to dull the pain in her bottom, pulses of electric shocks began to become stronger and she had to return to her route. She was eventually able to withstand the pain long enough to grab a handful of medicinal ochrebloom and shove it in her mouth to help her feel better.

If she still had her focus, Allie would have been aware of the Nora hunting party walking down the road much earlier than they were aware of her, she could have covered herself before they turned the corner or at the very least be prepared not to scream in fear as the three strangers stared her naked body up and down. Allie felt the prickle of the breeze more acutely as she drank in the embarrassment of her exposure, covering herself best she could, her wide-eyed terror not leaving the gazes of the hunters, looking at her like a fallen goddess turned prey.

"Allie? By All-Mother's grace, what are you doing walking around naked?" The eldest of the group asked. Allie knew that she could never fully explain the situation to technophobic Nora tribespeople so just shrugged and glibly replied.

"Just following All-Mother's commands, I'm not sure why she wanted a naked pilgrimage from me." Hoping that would at least silence further conversation, she really didn't want to linger long enough to have every Nora in the Embrace see her tits.

"Do you need any assistance?" One of the younger tribesmen asked, the bulge in his trousers making it abundantly clear what kind of assistance he had in mind.
