Kaylar was grumbling to herself as she walked down the hallway of a decrepit building. She and some friends were hiking during the Ohioan Summer when they came across what looked to be a small town of sorts, lost to time. It was a small collection of ten or so what looked to be tiny homes and one large building that they couldn't make out the purpose of. Nature had overtaken the ghost town to the point that recognition was very difficult. Curiosity got the better of the group as they began checking the decapitating buildings, eventually noticing the doors to the larger building were easy to open when they entered. The group started making dares of who would infiltrate the doorway. Bickering back and forth until a notion of potential payment came up, Kaylar had an idea. Now, a hundred dollars richer, Kaylar was stuck exploring this creepy, crumbling building.
The Ohioan was pretty short, barely over five foot at 5'3, with fair skin and mid-back length brown hair that would cover her breasts when she let it down. Her brown eyes were framed by prescription spectacles. Kaylar describes herself to others as average looking, though guys seemed to always flock to her DD melons, and anyone and everyone would take the chance to slap her firm, round ass. Her shorts revealed legs that hinted at a history of sports, like soccer. However, now they show the many nights of sitting around playing video and tabletop games like DND. She was not nearly in the same shape as in school, but when she needed to move, she would still beat her friends in a race. Her oversized, plain gray t-shirt flows off her body, covering most of the curvy figure.
Using a small handheld flashlight to see, Kaylar began her investigation of the old building. The thought of using her phone's flashlight to see a bit more crossed her mind, but she realized it would be dumb to waste the power. Walking through the halls, Kaylar noticed all the doors seemed unlocked or open. She looked into the different rooms and concluded that the building was a warehouse and office combination. In one room housed a family of raccoons that startled her. But not more than her presence startled them as they hurried away faster. Quickly calming down, Kaylar turned down a hallway and found an ample open space covered in dust and cobwebs, a library of all things. It was just making this place seem even weirder. She made her way inside to look around.
The books in the library showed their age, though some were still intact and legible. The common theme of the readable books followed the lines of old forests, possible Celtic myths, and others in a language unknown to Kaylar. She felt only slightly relieved when None of the visible books had pentagrams or showed sacrificed goats. Still, there was no other way to explain how uneasy the room or even the building made her feel. Looking over the ornate and highly detailed leatherbound books with unable-to-understand pages made Kaylar more apprehensive about the purpose of this town. Looking through more books, she noticed a few with deer illustrations, confusing her already anxious mind. She wondered if there was any demon deer she just never heard of. It would be her luck.
At that moment, she noticed some movement in front of the door. She turned around, flashing her light in the direction, trying to figure out what it was. Seeing nothing, Kaylar resumed investigating, assuming it was probably one of her friends trying to mess with her or a woodland critter. However, a voice in her mind told her this was such a cliche moment of a horror movie. She did a 360 to look for any window or other possible exits, but to her dismay, there was only way in one way out. She grabbed an old wooden chair that seemed sturdy and began to make her way out. Using the flashlight to peek around the corners, Kaylar made it out to the hall once she thought it was safe.
Making her way back towards the exit, she listened as the doors in the building all seemed to slam shut. Not all together, but not one after another. It was a weird, patternless sound. She made her way, running as fast as her legs could carry her. In the last hallway from the turn she needed to make before leaving the forsaken building, she saw "it." Whatever "it" was. It looked like a deer standing on its back legs. No, it looked more like a person's body with deer legs and head. She threw her chair at it and took off to the exit in a full-on mad dash.
