Osa and the Magic War

The Fall of Pride pt 1

Having swam under the wall, Quivina and her archers take the ramparts of the city wall, and provide cover and support to Vulkarias and his men. Vulkarias leads the group taking the main gate while 2 smaller groups split off to take the two smaller gates.

Outside, the other groups are also getting into place, Amy with her tree, the beast man, and 200 troops arrive at local gate, and wait for it to open. At the same time Osa and 200 troops arrive at merchants gate, while John and 600 soldiers are in front of the main gate. Finally, Adunbi and his men are being carried in by Ekina in her dragon form, landing on the highest part of the palace.

After dropping off her brother and his warriors, Ekina returns to her normal form. As she and Adunbi are speaking about how to enter, two people step out from a door on one of the towers, a very large almost naked northern man with thick brown body hair, and a small attractive eastern woman in a red and gold silk robe, and black hair so long that it nearly touches the floor. She speaks with a heavy accent, "Welcome, but your journey ends here. Turn back now or suffer your fate."

The large man then transforms into an even larger bear, and begins charging across the roof, while the small woman starts waving her hands in front of her and hypnotic lights start to flicker and flow out in font of Adunbi and his men, captivating them.

Ekina pulls out the pack of sleep pollen that Amy gave her and summons a magic breath to carry it across to the eastern woman who has charmed her brother and his warriors. The eastern woman collapses into sleep, just as the bear plows into Adunbi and five of his men, tossing them up into the air and off the top of the palace roof. The rest of the warriors on the roof preform a warriors dance to draw the attention of the bear to themselves and form a defensive line.

From behind the man-bear Ekina transforms into and Elephant and gores him with her tusks, then she flips him up into the air. When he lands, he reverts back to his human form, and the warriors run up and stab him with their spears until they kill him.

Ekina returns to her natural form and looks over the edge to check on her brother and the men that were tossed over the edge, she sees them in the palace court yard fourteen meters below her, Adunbi and two of his men are moving slowly to stand up, protected from the worst injuries by there stone skin amulets, the other three are either dead or unconscious, but they are also being surrounded by dozens of place soldiers. Ekina turns around, and gives orders to bind and gage the eastern sorceress, and then follow her down the stairs.

At the local gate, Amy and her forces are waiting, then the gate open up, a single person steps threw and shuts the door. An otherwise ordinary looking northern man, in a black cloak, raises his hands and says, "Drop your weapons and surrender."

In Unison, Amy and all the soldiers with her, drop their weapons and put their hands on top of their heads. The man then approaches Amy, still sitting in her tree and says, "Come down and kneel in front of me."

Amy seems to struggle with the command at first but climbs down and kneels in front of him. The man then pulls out a long dagger and raises it over his head, then a black figure leaps from the tree tackling the man and disrupting his concentration.

When Amy realizes what is going one she sees the beast man clawing and ripping at the man who had taken control of her mind and the minds of her men. Quickly the beast man has turned this mind sorcerer into a bloody mess. Amy rallies her men and order them to move inside. Amy then calms the beast man and gets him inside with her. Passing threw the door, she discovers all the sailor who were sent to capture the door had killed themselves, most likely at the command of the mind sorcerer. Amy guesses that since the beast man is so feral that he has some resistance to mind magic.

At the merchants gate the soldiers report to Osa that they hear combat on the other side of the wooden doors. Osa rides to the front of the formation, and listens. She hears the clanging of a lot of swords, more than what should have been on the other side. This gate had reinforcements, when it should have only had a half dozen guards. Osa steps back and yells to her men to move back. She summons the power of fire, and hurls a torrent of flame at the double doors. When she lets up, the doors are blazing, but before they burn threw a cauldron of water is poured over the wall to douse the fire. Surprised, she thinks to herself, 'How did they know to put extra guards on this gate, and to bring a cauldron of water?'

Osa shouts to her troops, "Stand by to take the gate on my signal." She then transforms her gold double Zentai to form in to massive dragon wings and flies up to the top of the wall where she meets an old man with long gray hair and beard, in white robes, holing a walking stick. As they look at each other, she realizes that he is a sorcerer or some type.

The old sorcerer speaks, "Call off this battle, return to your home, Osa of the southern continent. I shall not let you pass."

Osa asks, "How do you know my name? And how did you know to bring water for the gate?"

The old sorcerer tells her, "I am a seer of things past and of thing yet to come."

Osa says, "You can not stop me seer. I will find the prince and end his villainous ravaging of the all the worlds peoples and their lands."

The old seer says, "I have seen the futures, and you can not kill him. He has his faults, and they may be many, but if he is to fall on this day there are those who would rule that are fare more corrupt than he is."

Osa says to him, "Let me pass and I will ensure that a better persons lead this land. Persons who will not make war on the rest of the world."

The old man takes a defensive stance holding his staff and says, "I can not do that. Turn and leave or meet your fate."

Osa fires a bolt of fire from one hand while summoning a bolt of ice with the other, her fire bolt is blocked by the old seers staff, before the ice bold strikes the old seer blocks that as well. Then the old seer spins and sweeps at Osa's feet with his staff, catching her ankles and flipping her on to her back. From the other side of the wall, Quivina launches an arrow at the old seer, but he blocks it with his staff. However, that gave Osa enough time to get back to her feet. Osa uses her Zentai to launch three tentacles from both of her arms. The old seer rapidly swats and slaps away at each one as it tries to entangle him, stepping back to make room for him to manoeuvrer. While the old seer is defending against Osa's tentacles, Osa causes a wall of fire to spring up behind him to stop his retreat, and then a sheet of ice to appear under him to limit his manoeuvrability further. Unable to maintain his balance, and fearful of catching on fire the old seer loses focus and drops his guard, causing himself to get caught by Osa's golden Zentai tentacles. Once she has him bound, she deposits him on the roof of a nearby building, then makes her way into the gate house with a shield of fire floating in front of her, she forces the guards out the other side, uses her Zentai to power open the gate and let her forces in to reinforce the sailors inside. As men climb up to secure the gate, Osa hops down and then leads the way to the gate of the palace.

Adunbi and two of his warriors are slow to get to their feet, three others are not moving, after having been tossed of the top of the castle to the ground four levels below. Slowly realizing they are surrounded by over two dozen palace guard, they form a triangle, standing back to back, they hold their defender spears in front of themselves and release them, the spears hover in the air and attempt to deflect in coming attacks. They hold their shields in front of themselves to block anything that gets past their short defender spears, and their stone skin amulets make their skin as hard as stone, reducing any damage that they may receive. Then, as the palace guard poke at them with swords and long spears, one at a time, they each are able grab a long spear and take it from the man welding it. Once they are three properly armed they are able to rotate and shift an inch hear and an inch there until they are able to get to their fallen allies and add those defender spears to their defensive circle.

As Quivina her archers take control of the wall, Quivina sees Osa in trouble on the wall and fires an ice arrow at the man Osa is fighting. He is able to block her shot with his staff, but it gives Osa time to recover. Quivina then continues to lead her archers in the taking control of the wall and supporting John's forces on the ground fighting for control of the city, and Vulkarias' forces attempting to breach the palace wall.

Ekina leads the bulk of Adunbi's warriors threw the castle, in counters only a hand full of guards that were not deployed outside to defend the palace gate and the surrounding city. In just a couple quick moments Ekina and her forces are at the main entrance to the palace. They are able over power the two guards there, and remove the plank to unlatch the door before pouring out into the palace courtyard and assault the forces surrounding Adunbi and the two men with him. While Adunbi and his men engage the palace guard in the courtyard, Ekina transforms into a chicken and flies up to the palace wall, where the guards and archers ignore her. Ekina then trans forms into a Tiger and begins attaching the guards and archer a top the wall, slashing them and tossing them off the wall to their death. Upon reaching the gate tower, she finds the doors sealed. Ekina transforms into a rat and squeezes in threw a small opening under the door. Again the guards pay no attention to such a small and harmless creature, until its too late.
