Chapter 60
JONNY ZANTANA
Morning Day 28
Jonny Zantana
"I need to go hit something." I left the room before I forced Jane into the basement. She would be safe behind the steel bars. She would hate me but at least she would be alive. Until Jess got a hold of her. I never wanted to hit a woman before but I could put Jess in my secret room and peel her demon lips from her demon face.
I stopped in the kitchens before heading down to the gym. "Send breakfast to Jane and her friends. They're going to need their energy today," I instructed the Head Chef.
He nodded. "On it, boss."

I climbed into the ring and motioned for my opponent to step forward. I had no time for formalities and swung at the new recruit.
He dodged and it made me angrier. I swung again connecting my bare fist with his eye this time. His brow split open and blood ran down his cheek.
It made me smile.
"You're a fucking psychopath." Victor shook his head and puffed on a fat cigar in the corner. "Train them, don't fucking kill them." He gestured to the new recruits.
The one in the ring gave a solid punch to the side of my face. It knocked something loose and energized me even more.
I kicked out as the kid got closer, making contact with his chest.
He landed flat on his back and didn't get up.
Victor knelt to check his pulse and gestured for the medics to carry him out. "He'll be alright." He shrugged and leaned against the ropes.
"Your turn." I told him. I held my hands up to protect my face and danced around him.
He scoffed. "With you? Never again, Brother. I don't think that death magic, candle, bullshit will bring me back to life like it does with Diego's stupid ass."
Victor always knew how to make me laugh. Which lightened my mood and cleared my head from the anger. "Security for tonight is good?"
He nodded and puffed on his cigar. "Got a special letter from the jungle this morning."
"Our sister?"
He nodded and puffed. "She found the cursed gold, had some difficulty but she fucking found it." He said it quietly. Almost like he was afraid or in awe, it was hard to tell with him sometimes.
I stood next to him and we stared out at the recruits practicing, weight lifting, jogging on the treadmills.
"She had to off the guy helping her."
I nodded, she always did. "Please tell me it was after he turned the cursed gold into bullets? The only way we're going to get rid of Jess is with those fucking magic bullets."
He nodded. "She didn't say. Let's hope she makes it back in time. It's a long flight from the jungles of South America."
I grunted as Diego, stupid ass, walked up to the ring. "Your turn brother." I moved away from the ropes to let him enter.
He climbed up and handed Victor a black gym bag. "We don't have time. We need to get you ready for the ceremony tonight. Can't be a King looking like-" He looked me up and down and sniffed at the air, making a face. "-That."
Victor lifted out a thick black candle from the bag. "There's three candles in here."
He looked at me expectantly.
"In case...Jane needs it."
Victor shook his head. "Got it, Your Majesty. I'm guessin' it's the same as last time? Put the candles on your dead bodies and say the magic fucking words?"
Diego nodded.

Afternoon Day 28
The tailor adjusted my sleeves as I stood in front of the mirror, looking at my brothers instead of my reflection in a formal suit.
The man with the pins moved away from me and I pulled out my phone. I hadn't told Jane about the ceremony tonight. She had enough to think about with the ritual. The less distracting her the more she would be able to focus on taking care of herself.
