I had just finished removing all my clothing when the alien attendant spoke to me again.

"Now lay down and spread your legs."

I reclined on the soft platform and stared up at the ceiling. There was a camera with a blinking red light pointed at me. Today I was scheduled to be inseminated for the first time since reaching the age of fertility.

There are hundreds of girls here at the mill. Our sole purpose is to sustain a population that had been ravaged by those carnivorous devils that had invaded Earth. And right now I felt especially vulnerable being naked in the same room with one of them.

"This is very important," proclaimed the tall creature. "The human inventory has fallen to unsustainable levels and you will be doing a great service to your species."

Thinking of what was about to happen still made me uncomfortable. The creature wondered over to a device and spoke to it, "Send in the breeder."

Tears welled up in my eyes, but I blinked them back, determined not to show any weakness. The door at the far end of the room slid open with a hiss, revealing a naked boy that appeared close to my age. He was muscular and handsome but his eyes looked sad.

It is rumored that he was the chosen for being the most well-endowed at the mill and his only job was to keep us all impregnated. I had seen very few males here. They are normally all sent away to be processed into food.

"Begin thrusting!" the alien commanded, it's impatience beginning to show. "If you don't do your job, you will be replaced with someone that can."

In obedience the boy began to move his hips sliding in and out of me. I wrapped my arms around his neck, holding on as if my life depended on it, which in a way, it did. Because if I could not prove myself fruitful, I would be rendered into food like all the others.

Surprisingly I began to enjoy the pumping sensation. The room seemed to fade away, and alien became a distant specter. All that existed were the two of us, joined in the most intimate act possible. Time stretched out, each second marked by the rhythm of our bodies, each moment a battleground where life or death was decided.

"Faster," demanded the alien, its voice growing more insistent.

The boy increased his pace, his breaths coming quicker, shallower. I matched his movements, my hips rocking passionately, despite the surroundings. We were being driven by a force greater than ourselves, the will to survive, to procreate, to prevail.

"Almost there!" the boy moaned stressfully.

He gritted his teeth, pushing himself to the brink, his body taut with exertion. I desperately clung to him, my fingers digging into the back of his neck, my back arching. And then with a final shuddering thrust, it happened. He cried out in euphoria as he bestowed the potential for new life inside me. I held him tight with a mixture of relief and uncertainty.

"This copulation has been successful." the alien declared.

The boy withdrew, his face etched with exhaustion. My heart was breaking for him, for us, for all we had lost and everything that we had been forced to become.

"Rest now," the alien said, in an oddly gentle tone.

The boy kissed me on the lips before sliding off the table, his legs shaky, his body weak from the ordeal. I sat up and reached out to touch his hand, a silent gesture of solidarity, of unity. We had shared our bodies out of compulsion, but I didn't regret any of it.

"What happens next?" I whispered, my voice barely audible.

The boy turned to me, his eyes searching mine, "We survive," he said simply, his voice firm, resolute. "Whatever it takes, we survive."

I nodded, clinging to the strength of his words. We would find a way, we would endure. Because that was all we could do now, all we had left, to keep living, to keep believing.
