Love After Death in a New World

This is the second part of my story here. If I can ask for comments as feedback for this story. While I am still new at this, I have enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I hope every one of you enjoys the story as well.

There I was now standing in the middle of town in another world next to May who I had just met as well received a blowjob from as far I could tell. "May does every town here in this world look like this?" I said to May. "As well do goblins live here as well?"

"Not at all at all," said May, "Some look like from ancient times, like Thrudheim here, or you have one that looked very futuristic, like Sea Port in Kingdom of Shamim. It is all about the founder(s) of the city itself. People and religion are not per se tied to a certain Kingdom or city like they were before last great war. Its been two thousand years since the last great war, it change not long after its ended, but some religion still have more influence in some area than others."

May then stated, "As for your second question, only the nonwild ones. Just like demons we still have wild forms of most creatures in the world. Some wild creatures can even be eaten and are considered a delicacy. Wild BBQ Orc over grill is one of my favorite foods during summertime. My dad has mean grilling skills."

I then had to ask, "How does that work? I mean if this not heaven what is this world, the afterlife? Wouldn't the kingdom be tied to religion? "

"Well yes and no," May looked at me and stated, "While there are some in your world who would think so since the 'God(s) and Goddess' live here that it is heaven. Heaven is a place that humans have made to live mostly without God(s) and Goddess in their own little world that they made. It is all their reward of a 'Good life' unknowns to them. Personally, I think it would be lonely, but I know that the people they think they are seeing, friends, family, and loved ones are not who they are talking to but a memory that made come true but at last most of all of them don't know that. This is the real afterlife in my opinion, mostly everyone here at one point was human or some other life form in their last life in your world other few of those who are born here."

I then had to ask the question, "Then what about hell? Where was Heaven if not here?" after the statement about heaven.

"You're getting too far into the weeds now, let us get a few drinks and something to eat. That new body has got to be hungry and well you just got off, so you got to be a little tired as well. So, we get our room as well. One last thing, since you got a new body now are you sure you wouldn't like to go by a new name as well? It might help you hide from whoever did this to you." May said while smiling at me.

"Ok, we can do that, so Tera said you would be my guide, what type of thing are you planning on showing and teaching me?" I asked May.

I give you this much, in a month if you're still here, you will have learned basics for farming in this world as well some 'livestock' we have here."

I had to think that was odd the way she exaggerated the word livestock.

"Ok deal but looking at some people around us I kind of feel like we are where very simple clothing," I said while looking at a couple walking by, "Most people have bright clothes and such, I thought they said I would be well off in this world."

"Are you stupid? That is elves' clothes you're wearing some of the fine materials in this world outside of noble wear. See how that cute girl at that food stand is looking at you? I am sure you could go over buy a few of her items and end up with her in your bed if you wanted to dress like that." May point out while looking at a nice bow at one of the weapons stalls across the street from the fruit stand.

I had to admit she was cute the way she was standing there and going to look at her stall would give me an idea of fruit and products here in this world. It also crossed my mind that the food I was about to make could one day be in her stall. So, I walked over to see what I could find.

"Hi, Sir do you fancy yourself a bucket of apples or a piece of wild Orc meat?" the stall girl asked.

She laughed and I had to ask myself where that came from. In my last life, I could never have gone up to a girl and asked her name. Heck, even the girl I had seen in my last life came by accident by bumping into her and then stopping to check if she was ok.

"It's Hannah, I not seen you around before, so what brings you to town?" she said.

I had to think if was it ok to tell her I was from another world or if should I produce a back story.

At that time May swung by and told her, "Oh this is Ivan and he just here looking for an item to buy to start a new business. He is not sure what type would be best here, so I thought I show him around since he is new here, Hannah but I would say I keep an eye on him to do important things."

From that I took it May knew who Hannah was so was not sure if May had planned this or so.

"Hi May, long time no see. Well, you brought him to the right place. If going to be hard to start one right now with old man Megatron saying he be stepping down as the world farmer just the other day. He said the new person would be here soon, but he is staying on for a while to get them time to get started, but no one knows how long that will be or who is replacement is. It sent the whole market district in a whirlwind." Hannah stated looking at May, "By the way we have fresh Orc meat in, I know how much you love it."

"As nice as that sounds, I think we might need to go for now. We still got to find a place to stay for the night, bye Hannah," May said with a little worry in her voice.

As we walked away from the shop, I looked at May as we walked away and said, "What was that about you just sounds like that was shocking news. As well I am the new World Farmer so what does that mean? As well I thought we had a place for tonight."

May looked at me and said "Well, you would have always ended up as the new World Farmer based on how you lived your life as well skills that you have been given. Skill are kind of picked on from an early age, and while they might change some, they are locked in for your lifetime, with very few changes. Even people in your world get them early even if they don't use them till they get here. With that Megatron should not be retired till your time to be here. I guess he felt you were either here or on your way or so. We only plan on getting an early start for you now and when we get you back into your body, and you have lived your life you be ready from the get-go when you get back. As for telling Hannah that, I just didn't want her asking you to many question and taken a guess of who you are really."

Stopping for a moment she went on to say, "This major mess thing up, if he retires and you go back that leave this world with a vastly reduced food supply. While there are normal farmers in this world, they can't produce on that scale to make sure that no matter what all people and kingdoms of this world have a way to get food. The World Farmer also helps keep a balance between kingdoms growing food for everyone. Food shortage is one of major reason that started the last great war. I wonder if this has something to do with whoever damaged your soul?"

I looked at her and asked, "Well could not a normal farmer just take over if I go back? I mean it's just a larger farm is all. What do you mean last great war?"

"Not exactly." May said, "The world farmer is picked by unbiased by gods and goddess or someone they appointed to pick them when the current one retires. The main difference is that have all be of this world before you. Yes, humans are born of this world as well. Your first one picked that has not been of this world by the appointed one. Also whenever someone is picked, they become sterile, that one requirement is that have no offspring as well so it is not kept in a family line so one kingdom can't start influxes a bloodline. Before you ask I not sure if you sterile right now or not. As far great war it close thing that people in your world would call Armageddon, Ragnarök, to say the end of days. Think about it all major religion of world at war with each other."

That only had me thinking then why was I picked since I was not born in this world, as well as I am sterile now possibly. Also The more I thought of all of this I realized another issue; this new body was hungry now.

Looking at May I said, "While I have a few questions, I think I need to take you up on that meal you talked about. I am famished right now. "

May stated, "It is not far ahead of the place we are going, the good thing is you can eat and try to get some rest I am sure you do have a few questions but now it time to relax. We have been here walking around town I am sure that new body is worn out. Don't need it breaking down on its first day."

Walking in felt like an old-time American bar my dad would take me to when we would fly back and see my grandparents in the US. Mom always said it was her favorite place when she saw them because it was so different from the 'US bars' back in Tokyo. Smelled like beer and hamburgers with onions. May looked at me and said, "Here we are at Dance Pony, the most American bar in this world. Tera said you had a thing for a place like this after reading your file so she picked her for us to eat and stay the night. Yes, those are what you think. This is one of few places on this side of the afterlife where you can watch NFL games from the land of living. The rooms and food are not bad either. I end up here when ever I am in town."

Sit at a free table a cute looking centaur woman came to our table to get our order. With that, she looked at him and said, "Max I have never not paid my tab well at least not any time I was not so drunk I had to have you carry me back to my room at the end of the night. If you had breakfast service like I have been asking you get paid in the morning before I leave. I always pay it next time I am in though." as she reached around and hugged him.

With that, he softened his face and said, "Where you have been at kid, Molly was just asking if I had seen you around. It's been at least two months since you have been here. Your normal by about every few weeks."

May said, "Main reason any good party ends....Work," as she rolled her eyes, "With that I hope you gave us a good room for the night. After we eat, I think about a nice warm bath it has been a long day."

At this point all I could think of was this world was nothing like what I had read in a book or played in any of my games. They all said that elves and trolls fought each other, now May hugged Max as well-being-friendly.

"Well yes and no I am afraid; we had a travel wagons of monks of Sun Wukong place a order ahead some rooms, by the time we had gotten a call you needed one we only had one left. The good news is it does have a nice large bath in the room. I was not expecting you to have anyone with you, so it only has one large bed." Max said while looking at me.

"That's fine as long he keeps his hands off me, I promise not to keep mine off him," May said to Max while winking.

"As long he can take it, and you don't go breaking the bed this time. You know it is hard to find a good bed here. It took me four months to find one after your last visit. Poor guy and girl with you couple visits ago, I never thought either one would walk right again after what you did with them. You be happy to know they stopped by not long ago and have a baby on the way. Also if your room looks as bad as then I am charging you an extra cleaning fee. Poor Bob used three bottles of bleach to get our smallest room cleaned and still talks about it like a nightmare." Max looked back to the kitchen.

"If that elf witch here, I am not cleaning the room after her again," a yelling guy voice said from the kitchen, "As an incubus, I can tell what male and female fluids and still not sure how only the female ones end up on the ceiling."

"Yes, Bob we know. You have said that a few times now she had shown back up," Molly said walking by and dropping off a few double burgers fries, and drinks for us and gave us a wink.

May said, "Thanks Molly, hey can you put us down for a 6 am wakeup call. We got lots to do tomorrow."

"Sure thing, I will make sure it taken care of," Molly said as she walked away.

Max also went back to the bar as we ate our meal. I was sure it was not a normal beef burger but whatever it was it was one thing delicious. I thought at least for tonight I didn't want to find out what I was eating.

Then it came to me that we were exploring the city we never bought anything today including extra clothes. What were we going to wear to bed? Looking at May I asked her, "Hey I am good sleeping on the floor if I have to but what are we doing about clothes after we take a bath?"

May just said, "Don't be silly same thing I always wear to bed, nothing. Not like I changed that with you here. You don't have to sleep on the floor their enough room in the bed that we can share. If it issue for you me be naked, I can cover up, but I am taking the blanket you can use the sheet. The only issue is, unless you want a cold bath, we must bathe together. The plumbing here is old, and you only get about one hot bath a night per room."
