A moment later Greeson blinked out, then appeared on the bio-bed. "Hopefully he can heal this time," Johnathon said, then looked at Kimon. "I am hoping that the same can be said about the Brigader General.

Akira and Onai smirked as they nodded their heads. "I will attempt to make sure that he stays put," Onai said.

A few minutes later Kimon's eyes opened as he took in the whole situation. He then looked at Greeson in the other bio-bed, shaking his head.

"He forgot to use the boost, didn't he?" Kimon asked, as the two females could only stare at him.

"If you are referring to the second energy drain band, then yes, he didn't," Akira said.

Kimon nodded his head, not trying to move much. "He has always thought he was stronger than he is. It is a good thing to have IF you really are that strong."

"You should sleep now son," Akira said as she touched his forehead, his eyes closed, then he was asleep.

"I want them to heal, no fighting, training, nothing. Do not piss me off," Derrick warned both women as they bowed to him.

"Hai Lord sir," both women said as they bowed to the floor.

Derrick just shook his head as he left the room, heading for the bridge. Why in the hell was he not believing either woman?

Derrick walked on board the bridge, a signal immediately grabbing his attention. "Shelby, are you almost complete?" Derrick asked.

"I am still working on the ships that were damaged. Plus, I have two others in regular re-gen. I am making sure that the problems we had before," Shelby said.

"So, we only have eighteen ships available, a lot better than I at first thought," Derrick said.

"Seventeen?" Shelby asked.

"Yes, the three you are re-gening, the two at the Delcron planet, including Tempro, then you. Oh, also Derry, though he's not finished yet," Derrick said.

Shelby sighed, "it is great having as many of my children back. I just hope that some day we are able to return the rest," Shelby said.

"I hope so too, Shelby," Derrick said.

On the Imperial Planet, Mita was still worried about Gunther and Shelly. They both had awakened then summarily passed back out.

"Miss Mary, are you certain that they both should have awoken? I am getting nothing to indicate this," Mita said, looking over all the readings that were coming in.

"I have gone over the readings and figures several times, Dr. Shiloh. Both are almost completely healed from all external injuries. I am afraid that their mental states may be hampering them," Mary said.

"I concur though I am not getting any indications that their minds are harmed nor damaged. Can you take a brain wave scan? That might indicate whether or not they are having difficulties," Mita said.

Less than a few minutes later Mita was nodding her head, "as I see it, there is no mental, oh shit!"

Mary was immediately beside Mita looking over the newest readings. "Dr, Shiloh? Aren't those Delta waves unusually high?"

"Unusually high? No, they are extremely high. I'd dare say that they are life-threatening. Is there any way to disrupt them?" Mita asked.

Mary was quiet for a moment, then an idea seemed to come to her. "Both Commanders Kimison and Rayburn had been working on something like that. Though I am afraid that both of them are on the Delcron home world," Mary said.

"Can you contact them? From what I am seeing, if we can't reduce this, they may not make it. There is a buildup of energy that could possibly burn their brains up," a worried Mita said.

"I will attempt to though, as of a few hours ago they were out of communication. The emperor can, though, so wait," Mary said.

Derrick had just sat in the command chair trying to catch up on everything when Mary signaled.

"Sire, we have a situation here. We need both Commanders here as soon as possible," Mary said.

Derrick nodded, tapping the tablet in front of him rapidly. Within a minute a holo-gram of both men appeared in front of him. Derrick smiled when he saw both the female Delcrons looking past the two.

"I need the two of you to the Imperial Planet as soon as possible. Apparently, both Gunther and his daughter are getting feedback through their Delta waves. I'd say that you take your partners with you but," Derrick was saying, then was interrupted.

"They will be allowed, though they do need to return so that a joining can take place. No offense, but you human males seem to be rather shaky about joining," Emperor Kandra said. Then a smirk appeared, "well most of you."

This had Derrick smiling as he watched all four of the people there vanish. "I thank you Emperor Kandra."

"We are allies, Emperor O' Toma, it is what we do, no?" Kandra said.

Derrick smiled as he nodded, "it is indeed."

Less than fifteen minutes later an IMT beam appeared between the bio-beds holding Gunther and Shelly. Four beings appeared, then a moment later several strange machines also appeared.

"Get this on both sides of her head. Take these and do the same for him. I just hope that they don't suffer any damage from the overload of energy," Rayburn said.

A moment later there was a whine as several machines started to come alive.

"Adjust it to less, amperage!" Kimison was shouting, seeing that it was still too high. "NO! More or it will fry their brains!"

"Its reduced almost as far as it can go," Rayburn said, a little worried.

"Disengage! There's still too much," Kimison said as he grasped the leads to both of them on the bio-beds. He pulled as hard as he could, a shower of sparks along with an ozone smell rose from him.

"Ah shit!" Kimison yelled, then started to whimper, then scream. Falling to the deck, both of his hands were severely burned as his body started to convulse.

"Mary! I need him on the bio-bed, I need an electrical drain immediately!" Rayburn shouted as he did all he could to save Kimison.

A worried Medalina was beside Rayburn as he moved as fast as he could. "You have to help him, please," she whispered.

"I'm doing the best I can, please," Rayburn started.

"No, not that, it will destroy him," Cetalina said as she gripped Rayburn's hand. "You need to reduce the drain, or it will kill him."

Rayburn stared at her as she started to adjust the settings faster than he could. His eyes went wide when he saw that he could have killed his friend.

He hung his head as he whispered, "thank you, I would be racked with guilt had I done this."

Cetalina smiled a loving toothy smile, "I will do all I can for your mate."

Rayburn's head snapped up as he saw the look of admiration on her face. He then sighed as he saw the readings start to level out.

"Now all we can do is wait, he said as he gently laid a hand on Medalina's shoulder. "Plus, hope that I got to him in time."

A com next to Isamu Sakuta started to signal, he reached to it seeing it was the emperor. "Sire, is all well?" he asked.

"I am letting you know that Kimon is out of danger and awake. Though at the moment I cannot say that about his student. Apparently, Greeson forgot to do something as he thought he was tougher than he is," Derrick said, shaking his head.

"Ah, I see that the student is as stubborn as his teacher," Isamu Sakuta said with a smirk.

From somewhere the voice of Kimon shouted, "not stubborn as I know my limitations."

"Hmmm," Isamu Sakuta said, "as I said sire, stubborn beyond good sense."

A broad grin came to Derrick's lips as, yes, he knew that Kimon could be more stubborn than was good for him.

Another com signal beeped next to him. "Alright what's happened now?" Derrick asked. A moment later Derrick's image appeared in the Palace med-bay. "What the hell happened? I thought you said that they were stabilized." looking at the med-bay of the palace.

"It appears that there was far more energy than we at first thought. Kimison was shocked by an overcharge trying to disconnect them. It has apparently overloaded his system, relieving all that was threatening them. I got him loose as soon as I could, though at the moment I am having trouble stabilizing him," Rayburn said.

"Are you alright?" Derrick asked Medalina, seeing the look of pain, concern and hope on her face.

In a low whispered voice she said, "I am trying to have faith in the great feline. He is the first male that has ever shown me the love that mates experience."

"That goes for both of us," Cetalina said. "This is the first and possibly last chance that both of us have to have a mate. Neither of us wish to lose this chance. I will help my mate with all I have to save her mate and his comrade."

Derrick nodded his head as he clicked off, as another signal came in. "Derrick?" Came Shelby's voice. "We appear to almost be ready to launch another two. No less than another day, I will contact you as soon as they are ready."

"That will be what? Twenty-six? I understand that Derry is ready?" Derrick asked.

Shelby was interrupted before she could speak. "I am glad to report that I am indeed now at full function. I am moving to take two aboard so we can have more ready far sooner," came Derry's voice.

A smile came to Derricks lips. "I am glad that is happening."

Derrick looked over to Admiral Hartwell, then to a shaking Bee. Huh, he thought, at least she's not scared as witless as she was. Nodding to Hartwell, Derrick vanished, appearing in the med-bay.

"Report Johnathon," Derrick said.

"Sire, at the moment it appears that Major Greeson has sustained more damage than we at first thought. Brigadier General Dempsy is healing far faster than at first thought to be possible. Going by prior information, officer Dempsy should be out in a few hours," Johnathon said.

Derrick looked at a concentrating Kimon. "I might ask you to keep him here longer if he gives me more trouble.

Kimon's eyes popped open as a look of confusion appeared on his face. "Sire, I am far more valuable to you out of here, than in here."

"Perhaps you should remember that when you fight again. Also, remember that we have a double wedding to attend. I therefore wish you to advance Greeson's healing. Do I make myself clear?" Derrick's stern voice said.

Kimon hung his head as he said, "you have indeed, sire."

Both Akira and Onai were trying to hide their smiles at Kimon's dressing down. Maybe, just maybe, Kimon would become more responsible now. Both Akira and Onai sighed, god they both hoped.

Far out in the next galaxy, a vast insect fleet was passing a great distance from the Delcron world. The main ruling Queen was ordering the troops and ships in different configurations.

The queen looked at the over two million ships she had heading to the human galaxy. Ah, she thought there would be no defeat, like there had been in past times.

Though the strategy of the human Emperor worried her, she considered the humans to be weak. True, they had done her empire a service by ridding them of the weak queens. They still needed humans to feed her vast trillions and trillions of her people.

Her thorax quivered as she thought of the suckulant bodies of the human galaxy's inhabitants. Yes, this would be her people's greatest victory.

Her scientists had learned of the fast travel the humans had. Though they couldn't move even half as fast as the humans, they advanced far faster.

She reached out to a small walled section next to her. Reaching in, she loved the screams as she pulled a humanoid out of it. Opening her mouth, she dropped it into her maw, swallowing it as she ate it whole.

Ah she thought, the soft skin of the humanoid as she crunched on its bones, the screams stopping suddenly. An insect smile came to her face, she'd enjoy taking the human Emperor and all of his subjects.

Anger suddenly filled her body, yes, they would pay. So many of the Creagons had been destroyed, the ultimate insult. The entirety of the human galaxy needed to be rendered as a new food source.

The queen smiled again as she thought they might lose a few. She knew that the humans, had nowhere the firepower that she had.

After all, they only had ten, maybe eleven ships at most. Quite easy for the over two million ships that she had.

A foot soldier rushed in a moment later with the information that she'd asked the scientists for. Hmmm she thought, so it'd take a few weeks with the new drive.

Again a smile lit up her features, only a few weeks, not a month like before. Then it appeared another ten days to the Imperial planet.

Good, good, soon the revenge of the Creagon would be complete. Then the time of great feasting would begin.

Admiral Hartwell was maintaining patrols around the Jitaku Planet. He was hoping that both Greeson and Kimon were better soon.

From what he'd seen when he'd checked in on them, they were barely better. Well Kimon was, Greeson was still out. Something about taking more en energy than his body could take?

He just shook his head, why the hell were ther two of them like that? A moment later he received a com from Mary.

"Admiral Hartwell, your presence is requested at the Imperial Planet. It is a matter of some urgency," Mary said.

Derrick's visage appeared a moment later, "you need to retrieve the other three Tendraxian females. Mary informed me that they are starting to go into withdrawl, get them now," Derrick said.

Hartwell was shocked a moment as a cry came from Bee. "Please Lord sir, my sister is with them. You have to help, or I fear that they might not last much longer."

"Johnathon, the Imperial Planet now," Hartwell said.

A portal opened with them arriving there a minute later. A moment later a beam appeared as three pale white female bodies appeared on the deck.

Again Bee gasped, seeing the deteriorating state of her sister and the other two.

"Lord sir," Bee started, "you are a mighty warrior, I ask, beg that you save them. She is the last of my family that is left. Please sir," she cried as huge tears came to her eyes.

Johnathon moved them all to the med-bay," Hartwell said.

A moment later he followed them. He could see that they were like Bee had been. Releasing an exasperated sigh, he looked at Johnathon,

"Alright, help them," he said as he heard three hypos, then a fourth in his arm.

He felt the slight numbness creep up his arm. It was at that moment that he realized that there were three females at the same time. Oh, shit he thought as he dropped to the deck.

Damnit, he thought I should have worded that differently. He then felt his body start to convulse, though not as bad as before.

He felt the bio-bed under him as he tried to groan, damn he hated these things. "Johnathon," he started, then his eyes rolled back in his head.

"Mother," Johnathon said, Mary appearing a moment later. "Admiral Hartwell has lapsed into shock. I have administered the medications that were improved though I didn't realize that three would do this. I am at a loss as to what to do."

Mary was passing several instruments over the three Tendraxion females as well as Hartwell. Rapidly, she administered another two injections to Hartwell.

"I am reading his bio readings are stabilizing slightly though they are still bad," Johnathon said, worried.

"We need a stronger dose, or he may not survive," Mary said as they both watched Hartwell start to convulse.

"Miss Mary," a quiet voice said behind the two holo-grams. "Please use whatever you have to from my body to save him. If he expires, I am afraid that I will not survive," Bee said.

"I don't," Mary started, then stopped as something came to her memory. She immediately had a hypo taking blood from Bee.

Mary looked at the blood, analyzing it. Nodding her head, yes, she rapidly made a far better medicine for the females and Hartwell.

Upon receiving it, all four of them started to breathe better. As the convulsions stopped, Hartwell opened his eyes. "Are they better?" He croaked.

"They seem to be finally recovering as they should. This treatment should work from now on though. I don't recommend more than one at a time," Mary advised.

"Yeah," Hartwell gasped out, "that, I believe, would work far better."

Less than a day out from the Imperial planet, Risen's ship dropped out of trans-warp. Onboard, Risen was still in the medical capsule.

We have dropped out the advanced drive at the coordinates that you indicated, the A.I. advised Risen. He was just now starting to heal with the full med machines.

How long before I am released? Risen asked.

At least another three days, there are still several broken bones that need to heal, the A.I. answered.

"Good, then we have time to plan a final assault upon the bastard fake to the throne. Take down all that I give you, give chances of accomplishing them. Also, anything that we can do to have a better chance of doing them.

Several hours later, Risen was still talking, planning. The more he planned, the larger his smile got, this would be hard though he could do it. He just hated that the bastard had frozen almost all his funds.

Another smile came to his features, almost all his funds. He had quite a few that were well hidden. It wasn't as large though he had enough to take revenge.

Risen looked at the shield that had him hidden from everything. He had checked several times to make sure that he was in fact invisible. He'd better be or the ass he got this from was dead.

It was finally three days later when a pneumatic hiss came from the capsule. Risen, arose from the capsule like a vampire of old. An almost wicked smile crossed his features, it was time to start making people die painfully.

Now, he just had to start implementing his plan, his first target was that soldier, his wife and daughter. Taking out the palace A.I. was going to be hard as the little bitch had removed everything.

That's alright, Risen thought, she could die from torture as well as anyone.

As for the first of his plan, he sent out a pulse wave that alone wasn't bad but part of a cascade failure.

In the palace Mary had never lost where Risen's ship was, she'd also seen the new configuration. She was more than ready when Risen released the pulse.

A small smile came to Mary's A.I. holo-gram, she'd be more than ready when he attacked. Though this was a good attack, she was expecting almost everything he was sending.

Mary then turned her attention to the commanders, the upper rear Admiral, the Admiral. She also watched Dr. Mita and her daughter Shelly. Shelly had cleared all the damaging programs that were hurting her.

She opened a channel to the emperor, she needed to update him. A few moments and he was there as a holo-gram.

"Sire," she started. "I have an update for you."

"Alright, go ahead," Derrick said.

"I need to let you know that the former Duke Risen is still alive. I thought that we had destroyed him, but he still survives. I am keeping an eye on the three enemy races that are within the empire," Mary said.
