Making memories.
Hawke woke up early the next morning restless. He laid there watching her sleep, hoping he could join her, but his mind wouldn't allow it. He carefully crawled out of bed, so he didn't disturb her. After getting dressed, he went to grab something to eat and headed outside. He needed to clear his mind, so he decided to go through his sword forms. By the time he was done, Elayne was up and practicing with the other soldiers.
After he washed away the sweat and grime, he put his shirt back on as he watched her. She stumbled when she noticed him watching. "Clear your mind, let nothing, not even me distract you," he said in her mind.
She growled, "It might help if you weren't standing there with your shirt unbuttoned," she snapped at him.
He looked down at himself, chuckling. "Like I said, let nothing distract you."
Elayne would be practicing for a while, so he decided to do a couple of errands in town. He had something special in mind for tomorrow. Eleanor had recommended a really nice place that her and Bryce sometimes went to. It was the best in town. They had a small little private dining area that would be perfect for Elayne and him.
"My Lord Hawke, how can I help you this fine day?"
Hawke grimaced, no matter what he had agreed to with Elayne and Bryce, he was still having issues with being called a Lord. He was not a Lord. How anyone could not see that was beyond him.
"I would like to reserve your private dining area for Lady Elayne and I for tomorrow night, please. I would also like to arrange something special for her if that's not going to be an issue?"
The owner bowed to him, "Of course, my Lord, would you follow me, and we'll go over the details."
After Hawke walked out of there, he headed to the dress shop.
"My Lord, how may I help you today?"
"I'm looking for a very special dress for Lady Elayne," he explained what he wanted. After going through a few dresses, he finally found the one he wanted. After ordering it and some accessories to go with it, he went to a few more shops. He knew Elayne would be getting done soon, so he finished up his shopping for the day and hurried back to the castle. After hiding his purchases for tomorrow and getting her bathwater ready, he headed to his family room to talk to his mom and sister.
With practice finally being over, Elayne headed up to their room to clean up. After stripping off her clothes, she headed to start her bathwater but stopped when she noticed it was already filled with rose petals in it. She walked over to it and noticed the steam rising from it.
She stepped in, luxuriating at the heat from it as her body sunk into the water. "Thank you, baby, you're the best," she told him in his mind.
"You're welcome sweetheart, you want to go riding when you're done?"
"Of course, I'll let you know when I'm ready, baby."
Elayne was glad when Hawke and his men had come to an agreement about her and Hawke needing time to themselves. It probably didn't help none when he would constantly outrun them when they'd go on their rides. The men had gotten frustrated with him, and they had finally agreed to let them be alone but only on their rides. She had actually found the whole thing amusing, especially when she realized he would do it on purpose.
"One way or another, I was going to have at least some time with you alone here besides in our room, and sneaking out just didn't feel right." He wrapped his arms around her from behind, "you feeling better?"
She put her hands on his and leaned back against him, "I definitely feel better, thank you, baby."
"Come, I need to get out of here for a while." he took her hand in his, and they walked over to the corral waiting for Midnight. When they were both on his horse, they took off, heading to the main road where Midnight took off at a run. Once the horse got his run in, Hawke took them on a hidden trail that she was familiar with that led to one of her favorite spots. He pulled her close to him, "Why didn't you tell me about this place? It's absolutely breathtaking."
"I forgot about it. How did you find it? It's not exactly an easy place to find."
He got off Midnight and helped her down. Taking her hand, he led her to a secluded area by the lake. She felt a small burst of power from him as she wandered over to the water that the falls flowed into. It was absolutely breathtaking as the lake spread out in front of her, the waves lapped lazily against the shore, a rhythmic natural melody. The lush green grass with wildflowers spread around it, and the tall hemlock and pine trees stood sentinel around the lake, the branches whispering with the breeze. Off to the side was the hill with a serene waterfall cascading down it into the water.
He sat down on the grass, "Remember that dream I woke you up to?" she nodded, her cheeks flushing. "Well, for this spot to be in your mind, it must be something special for you, and after doing some searching, I found this place." He leaned back on his side, watching her. He could see that she was itching to get in the water as she gazed longingly at it.
"We are safe from prying eyes, my love, I set up some wards earlier," she looked over at him with excitement in her face before stripping off her clothes and going in. He finally understood her fondness for this place as he felt the pleasantly warm water embrace her body and gently glide across her skin. After some time, she turned to him and asked, "Will you join me?"
"I'm enjoying laying here watching you, baby. I might join you later."
As he looked on, she came towards him with the water cascading off her as her hips emerged from the surface. The sunlight caught the tiny droplets as they glimmered on her stunning body. Her breasts swayed enticingly as she drew closer to him. He couldn't help but study every inch of her, finally fixating on the area between her legs. His mouth felt dry, and he was left breathless - she was simply stunning, and he ached for her.
