This is the first chapter of Hard Coded part 3. I've decided to split this part up into chapters for my own sake of writing it, and to keep the story from becoming overwhelming. This part is the longest story I have written to date, and this first chapter is mostly set up with little sex in it. This will pay off in the following chapters, which will be almost entirely sex. I hope you enjoy.
Hard Coded
Part 3 - Chapter 1
He'd found a game once, porn of course, that had one of the most spectacular character creators he'd ever seen. Literally every aspect of the female form had been broken down into the most minute, customisable values. He could change anything he desired, make them look however he wanted them to look. Thighs that extended out twice the width of their shoulders, asses that served as shelves and tits that could obscure the entire torso from view. He was no stranger to these sizes; hell he'd drawn plenty bigger than that himself in his time. But it was the fact that he controlled this, everything designed to fit his exact mood in that moment and could be tweaked in a second to fit something else... That turned him on more than anything else. He would jerk off and cum harder than he would to anything else because he had been in control, and it fulfilled his desires completely.
He'd forgotten the game eventually, wiped from his hard drive and lost to time, but as he stood there, Jayden felt that same sensation, just on a whole other level.
He'd had to unplug the USB. He couldn't risk being in his bedroom anymore, but in his condition there was no way he was moving his whole PC setup. So he'd grabbed his laptop from his bag and plugged in the mysterious drive. It seemed different somehow, like it had adapted to the new hardware it was running on. Out of curiosity, Jayden had taken all the files from the USB and dragged them over to his desktop. This time he was prepared for the blinding white flash that had stunned him the night before, the ethereal glow emanating from his laptop's screen.
What shocked him now was the blue dancing lights that played out across the metallic shell, whispering between the keys and dancing through the external ports. Some part of him knew he ought to be concerned about this, but whatever this program was doing to his PC, Jayden suspected it could do more without being confined to that of the small memory stick.
As his laptop finally stopped fizzling with energy and the ethereal aura faded from his screen, Jayden suspected that his computer's transformation was complete. The fact that his computer still looked completely ordinary he knew would have been anticlimactic to some. But he knew better, while externally it might look unchanged, inside the shell was where the real changes had been made. So far the files looked pretty similar, but the more he investigated the minor differences he discovered. He navigated back to the BaseStatModifier file, and noticed the icon next to it had changed. Where previously he had seen a small notepad page, a glowing blue "M" now replaced it. Curious to understand the new development, but even more so to explore the plethora of settings at his disposal, Jayden dived straight in.

Sam casually scrolled through her phone while she sat in the student cafe. The coffee was shit and the air conditioner only worked if it was 2pm on a Wednesday and Boreas, Greek God of Cold Winds, deigned to grant his blessing, but this was where Sam and Jayden always met, same time every week. They'd been doing this since they both got accepted into the same university, Sam having to convince Jayden into doing it at all. They'd spent a few years apart after high school, both going to different colleges, and Jayden never was the best at keeping in contact at that point in his life.
Sam couldn't say she was much better though. College was when she bloomed - that was how her mum put it - and it was true. Sam had gone from a gawky, awkward teenager to a confident, outgoing and decently attractive adult if her friends were to be believed. College gave her a change in scenery, a new friendship group and a chance to reinvent herself. She almost felt guilty for leaving Jayden behind.
Which wasn't to say she only hung out with him out of guilt! It had felt that way at first, but after a few hours together it was like old times again. Jayden's wise cracks and dry humour belying the charm he actually had. That and he was just so much fun to tease, always had been.
But she couldn't deny that there was something different. She could see it plain as day despite how much Jay tried to hide it. It was like there was something wrong, the way he looked at her. Sometimes he'd look at her and it'd be fine, they laughed and joked and had a great time, but sometimes he looked at her and seemed... sad. She'd never seen him like that before. In the near decade they'd been best friends he'd never looked at her like that.
They'd been hanging out at her place, her brother Lewis sitting behind them on the couch as she and Jayden sat on the floor. They played Mario Kart on his GameCube, and she casually mentioned someone she'd hooked up with in college. It was just part of her story, and it happened to be somewhat relevant, but the moment she said it, Jayden clamped shut. He barely said a word after that. Unfortunately Sam was just a little too high to catch his change in mood, but Lewis was not.
"Did you see what happened the moment you said you slept with someone?" he'd asked rather pointedly later on. She'd shook her head at the time, too engrossed in her own story to really pay attention to anything but her loosely recalled memories and taking the drift on DK Mountain.
"What? What happened?"
"He started losing. Jayden never loses Mario Kart."
She'd picked up on it then. Small probes here and there, but she pretty quickly figured it out. Whatever it was Jayden was feeling, he felt like he wasn't good enough for her. She could see the way he looked at her, the way he would look at the clothes she wore or the people she hung around with. He saw themselves as if they were two completely different kinds of people now.
And Sam wasn't stupid. She knew there was a degree of truth to that, but she was determined that she could overcome it. Whether it meant that she needed to help Jayden come out of his shell more, or just to be there when he needed her, she was determined to show that their ten years of friendship couldn't just be wiped out so easily.
Well it was either all that, or he had a crush on her. Either-or really. The latter would honestly be a relief.
Sam put down her phone and looked over at the entrance. Normally Jay would send her a text in the morning asking if they were still on to meet up. He liked that kind of organisation. She'd not gotten anything this morning, but she still showed up anyway. Maybe Jay had lost his phone or overslept?
She'd been sitting alone in the cafe for nearly an hour when he finally walked through the door. Sam was fully prepared to lambast him with all her pre-prepared mocking and teasing before she got the chance to properly take him in.

The dread of yesterday was nothing compared to what Jayden had awoken to this morning. He'd regained consciousness in the bathroom, pressed tight against one wall while
the rest of him
lay limply inside the shower. The room was splattered, the drain was clogged and the smell was once again bafflingly overwhelming. His laptop sat precariously on the countertop beside him, a stray rope of stubborn jizz still bridging between the keyboard and the top of the screen. Jayden used one leaden arm to slowly drag the laptop off the edge of the counter, and it had landed on him with a resounding
thump
that had sent shivers throughout his entire body.
