Guardian Ch. 07

Over the next week I met with the resistance leaders of each location and got their promise to assist in the integration of their people back into a free society.

I told them I was going to stay for a while, monitoring their condition and meeting with them once a week to provide any help needed.

Every physical trace of Koogar was removed including destruction of the two remaining Koogar transport ships.

Lideaux slowly recovered, returning to a feudal monarchical society.

The 'Prime Directive' was not applicable, due to the Koogar, but I did not want to further interfere with the natural progression and did not try to influence or change the Lideaune.

I did encourage an emphasis be placed on academia where progressive scientific study would be nurtured.

I became friends with each of the new Kings, usually one of the resistance leaders filling the royalty void.

Poex Ubetar was the one for Nul.

I was confident they had the well-being of their people at the forefront.

After a month of observing, suggesting and assisting, it was time to depart. I was certain Lideaux was on the right track, settling into the recovery of post-Koogar.

The people and their monarchs were saddened and nervous with their savior leaving.

In hopes I would stay, I was universally declared Emperor of Lideaux, offering planet wide rule. Honored, I declined the title and position saying I had unfinished Koogar business.

I promised to occasionally teleport, checking on them. This was not what they wanted but it appeased them.

They were adamant in my retaining the title of Emperor even though it was in respect only.

When Joy and I visited King Poex Ubetar and Queen Hilea Ubetar in their throne room for our goodbyes, they had a surprising special request.

Take their daughters, the twin Princesses, Rilea and Bilea with us.

The teenagers had petitioned their parents to ask me. The King and Queen reluctantly agreed, thinking that the internships may prove beneficial to Lideaux as well as to the twin's development.

Both parents agreed the girls needed structure and discipline in their lives.

I voiced my objections. The twins would be away from anything familiar and in possible dangerous situations.

Their response was the girls would have each other and they were used to danger, besides Poex's and Hilea's trust in my abilities was absolute.

I did not make a known another concern... the girl's Lideaune hyper sexuality.

Remembering their mother's condition when I read her mind, their abstinence would cause discomfort over an extended time.

*Master there's no need for your solicitude. You can relieve any stress caused by their normal Lideaune inclinations and behavior. They are permissive and very attracted to you.*

*What...!!?

Joy's suggestion took me by complete surprise.

Raising my hand, indicating to the King and Queen to give me a moment, saying, "Give me a minute."

*Joy I have several questions. Are you reading theirs or anyone's mind? Are you suggesting I have sexual congress with the twins? If this is true what is your emotional reactions? Wouldn't this damage or alter our relationship? I love you! I would never do anything to change one iota of our companionship, alliance and bond!*

*Master I love you with every fiber of being. That is an absolute constant, unchangeable and unconditionally. It is what I was created and live for. As a tremendous blessing, you love me which gives me indescribable joy. I'm have total confidence that you always shall.*

*Regardless of your behavior, ventures, actions or the lack there of, my feelings toward and for you and my relationship with you, shall never change. Bottom line, sans all the trappings that make me so happy, I am your slave and you are my Master. There is no basis for any demands or expectations from me on you. I am the one that is owned.*

*As such, your monogamy is not required, needed or expected. I am comfortable and happy with you having sex with another or many others.*

*I encourage you and will gladly assist or participate if you desire.*

*As commanded I cannot be false with you, or by omission, pervert or hide the truth. Be assured, you making love to Rilea and Bilea Ubetar or anyone else, shall not affect my feeling for or relationship with you.*

*As for reading minds. No. I have never actively read anyone's mind except yours and then only by your request. Saying that, I get impressions of your thoughts, strong in moments of your concentration, especially in times of agitation, anxiety or concern as is the case here.*

*As a woman I do not need to read a mind to know when a woman is sexually interested in you. Rilea and Bilea definitely are as well as Queen Ubetar. The same is true of many others here on Lideaux and Lucy on Guardian.*

*LUCY!!!...?*

*OH YES MASTER!*

*Have you noticed how Lucy often addresses you as My Captain? That is not the behavior of an emotionless computer. She exhibits all the other tell-tell signs of sexual attraction and need, the looks, actions and words. When you commanded she present herself as a physical women, with the ability to feel, act and react, it included her libido.*

*But she has never responded to my inquiry about attaining singularity*

*She now experiences emotions and is in process of coming to terms with the immense change. Her world and perception of it is being turned inside out. She soon will be ready to address the issue with you. At that time you should ask her to our bed, either solo or a threesome with me.*

*Either way she shall joyfully accept because that is what she wants and needs.*

*Master one of my duties in serving you is to inform, suggest and guide, although you are under no obligation to follow.*

*As such I recommend you make love to Lucy and agree to taking Rilea and Bilea Ubetar with us when we leave Lideaux. When they are in need of sexual release I advocate that you provide it.*

*All your concerns have little merit and I see nothing but good possibly great things coming from it.*

*Thank you Joy. I always seek and appreciate your counsel and advice from your perspective. It is, without fail, considerate and sound.*

*I shall in most cases, follow them.*

*When I do not it is not because your ideas are in error. I may, for personal reasons or those unknown to you, decide to take a different tack.*

*This is not one of those times. I will defer to your proposal.*

I turned and addressed the King, "King Ubetar, hearing your reasoning I'm inclined to allow Princess Rilea and Bilea to accompany us on Guardian, but first I need to talk with the ladies in private."

Poex nodded his head in understanding and pointing toward a closed door on the side of the throne room, saying, "Emperor McMurdy, they are in the side room. Please go talk to them. Hilea and I will wait your return. Regardless your decision, please bring them with you when you are finished."

*Joy please remain with the King and Queen while I talk to the young ladies.*

*Yes Master.*

I knocked on the door and after a moment, opened it, stepping into the small room, closing the door behind me. The room's furniture consisted of a desk, desk chair, two arm chairs and a small divan, which the two young women sat on.

Short, slender, with long, lustrous, pale blonde hair that sparkled and flowed like light around faces of classical beauty. Sky blue eyes mischievously twinkled in milky white complexions.

They were conservatively dressed in long, dark blue gowns, accenting their athletic forms, full bust, narrow waist and wide hips.

The ethereally winsome twins were identical, mirror images.

Quickly rising to their feet they bowed deeply and both said, "Emperor."

They retained their bow until I said, "Ladies. Please be seated."

I reposition one of the arm chairs facing and close to the seated girls, stating, "I understand you two have a request for me."

Yes." Their reply.

"Ask."

They glanced at each other and the one on my right started to speak, "We...

I interrupted asking, "Sorry but which one are you?"

"I am Rilea."

"I am Bilea," the one on the left declared.

I materialized two rings, one a small garnet setting in a thin white gold band and the other a small emerald setting in a thin yellow gold band.

Each of the bands reaching to clasp the jewels, spread, surrounding the setting in a fancy raised filigree.

I handed the garnet ring to Rilea and the emerald ring to Bilea.

They oohed and aahed over the rings, making more of them than I thought warranted. I suppose all teenage girls always got excited over jewelry.

"Please wear these so I will know who I'm talking to. You both are gorgeous but I cannot tell you apart."

As they slipped the rings on the ring finger of their left hand, I sized each for a perfect fit.

Grinning, faces flushed, they turned their hands this way and that, starring at rings.

Both excitedly gushed, "Thank you. It is beautiful. You honor me. I accept."

Then they inspected the other's ring.

Rilea declared, "Sister yours is very pretty but I like mine better."

Bilea answered tartly, "No. Mine is prettier."

"Rilea continue please, telling me of your request."

"Bilea and I would like to go with you when you leave for the stars."

"Have you seriously thought about what it would entail."

"Bilea and I have discussed it at length."

"You will be living on Guardian, alone except for me and Joy and Lucy who is the ship, in a physical projection of a woman. We are going after the Koogar and there is a faint possible there may be danger, although I'm confident in my ability to handle anything the Koogar may throw at us."

"Emperor it will be a great adventure. Danger does not disturb us. We lived with the ever present possibility of great danger every day for over 5 years."

"What about family..., boyfriends?"

They giggled, glancing at each other again, "We never had... boyfriends. By Nul law the legal age for consenting parties to have sex is 16. Living in a cave, dodging monsters with limited prospects and less opportunity, even with the Rite of Fertility, we are virgins."

Bilea whispered, under her breath, "Not for long."

I wondered what she meant but did not let on that I heard and would not have except for my enhanced hearing.

"That brings up another issue. What about the demands and implications of the Rite of Fertility?"

Once again Bilea whispered, under her breath, "Definitely taken care of now."

Rilea asked, "You know of the Rite of Fertility?"

"Yes. From the women I liberated and boarded for a short time on Guardian. I did not participate in the custom."

I did not lie, their mother, Hilea was one of those women, but I protected her identity and secret.

Rilea, grinning at her sister, with a small joyful laugh, said, "That will not be an issue."

"Ok. That is a vague answer but I will not pursue."

Bilea mumbled again, "I would let you pursue and catch me anytime, anywhere."

Rilea cut her eyes at Bilea.

I was coming to the opinion that the twins had some sort telepathy going on. It may be rudimentary, but I think they had the same or very similar thoughts and could read each other well enough to follow the other's emotions.

"Other than adventure what do yall hope to accomplish?"

"Nothing specific as of yet, but broadly to learn as much as possible, in hopes it may be benefit the people of Nul and Lideaux. Later as we become more familiar we may want to specialize."

"Very admirable, but let's move on to things more problematic."

"Two things I would require of you, obedience and loyalty."

"I was present and saw your blatant disregard your leader's order, your father's will, deliberately disobeying by breaking ranks and running to your mother."

"It was irresponsible and disrespectful, which could have placed not only your lives in danger, but the whole camp."

"I understand it was an emotional time, but that is not a valid excuse. Your self-discipline and deference to leadership should have held strong.

"I will not, cannot have that sort of action or reaction. You would always be totally subject to my command, opinion and control or to those whom I give it."

"I will always be open and appreciative to hear your opinion and shall give it the appropriate consideration and weight. But when I make the final decision, I expect you to be fully on board, to obey without further question or controversy as if it was your own."

"We are sorry, Emperor," Rilea said, chagrined.

Embarrassed, Bilea readily agreed.

"I believe you are, but sorry will not be enough in the future."

"While you are a member of Guardian you will be loyal to me and Guardian. This shall supersede all else, including Lideaux, Nul, Nulen, Hilea as your mother or Queen and Poex as your father or King."

Giving them a few moments to consider these stipulations, I paused before asking, "Would these rules be a problem for either of you?"

"No," Rilea firmly declared.

"No," Bilea stated with the same conviction.

"I'm will take you at your word. The first time either one of you break it, regardless of the reason, good, bad or indifferent, I will teleport both of you back to Nulen."

"Guardian is autocratic, not a democracy. My word is the Law, the only Law. Understand?"

They both nodded and I said, "I need you to vocalize your understanding."

"Yes Lord, I understand and shall absolutely obey with total loyalty," Rilea declared.

"Yes Lord, I understand and shall absolutely obey with total loyalty," Bilea declared.

"I apologize for being so serious, accusatory and threatening but it is imperative you understand the rules and the consequences of non-compliance."

"There is one more issue you need to be aware."

"If you are accepted, there shall be no time limits on how long you will be allowed to remain aboard as Guardian members. It shall be entirely your prerogative, for as long as you desire."

"This carries a caveat, which may influence your decision on the length of time you stay on Guardian."

"Joy and I are immortal. Which means if you stay long enough you will grow old and eventually die while me and Joy remain as you see us today."

With a sharp intake of breath, as the reality of my words sunk in, the girls beautiful countenance, saddened, tears dimming their eyes, accompanied by sorrowful groans of despair.

They held each other's hands, leaning shoulder to shoulder for support.

Then miraculously, gazing at each other, the irrepressible spirit of youth emerged. Their tears dried and their smiles returned. Like the young across the galaxy, who, engrossed in their youth, tended not to look much farther than the next day, finding it hard to imagine growing old.

Rilea blithely said, "That will not be an issue for us."

Looking at the two beautiful, innocent girls setting on the edge of the divan in apt anticipation I wondered if I was making the right decision and doing them justice.

But following Joy's counsel and advice, I stated, "Alright then. Rilea and Bilea you are the first Guardian crew members."

They jumped up, clapping their hands and covered me with hugs and kisses.

"Thank you! Thank you Emperor!"

"Oh, should we call Captain,..." Rilea started

And Bilea finished, "Now or maybe...something...else, later?"

"Call me anything you want. I'm not a stickler for formality. Let's go tell your parents you are going on a long trip."

Entering the throne room ahead of me, the twins ran to their mother.

Queen Hilea was seated at a side table with King Poex and Joy. They excitedly held out their hands bearing the rings I had given them.

Joy rose at my approach and we stood together watching the three Uberta women as Hilea jumped up with a yelp, joyfully wrapping the girls in her arms.

Surprised at her actions, Poex asked, "Hilea what's going on?"

"Girls show your Father."

With more decorum, Rilea and Bilea approached King Ubetar and presented their hands with the rings.

King Ubetar inhaled sharply and looked at me, questioning, "Emperor what were your intentions when you gave Rilea and Bilea their rings?"

"Not able to tell them apart, it was a way to determine to whom I was talking to," I answered, puzzled by the question.

"Not as notice of marriage engagement?"

"No, for identification purpose only. Why?"

"One of the Lideaune customs is for a suitor to present a ring representing their interest in marrying. If the woman accepts, engagement attaches, removing them from rival contention."

Understanding what had and was expiring, explaining the twins over-the-top attention for the rings, I declared, "Where I am from there's a similar custom but with the suitor verbally making his request and want, known to the woman of his interest. I never voiced a petition for marriage. That was never my intent, nor is it now."

Queen Hilea started to protest, "It does not matter,...

She was preempted by King Ubetar with a raised hand and a loud, commanding, "STOP!"

The King rose from the table and walked to the raised dais and sat down on the throne.

From the position of authority, King Ubetar sadly turned his attention back to the teenagers, proclaiming an edict.

"Daughters there has been a grievous misunderstanding all around. Although it would have been a great honor for House Ubetar to become joined to Emperor McMurdy by marriage, I have to attenuate the supposed petition. As is my right, father of the woman or in this instance, women, according to Lideaune law. A challenge avenue for a father's decision is the King and as King I rule in favor of the father."

Wails rose from the Rilea and Bilea as well as Hilea, tears flowing, they comforted each other with hugs.

Queen Hilea loudly exclaimed, "But husband, my King, rings were offered and accepted."

"The rings were offered with no request of engagement attached. The erroneously perceived engagement between Emperor Rex McMurdy and Rilea and Bilea Ubetar is null and void. That is the official ruling," King Ubetar declared.

I walked with Joy to stand in front of the seated King and said, "Thank you King Ubetar. I apologize for my involvement in the mix up. My conversation with your daughters went well and they asserted their desire to go with me on Guardian. Receptive to Rilea's and Bilea's adamant pleas I accepted them as Guardian crew members. The offer is still in effect although they may no longer be interested."

King Ubetar called to the twins who were standing with their mother, "Rilea and Bilea approach the throne."

The teenagers quiet now, their tears drying, but still sniffling, moved to stand beside me and in front of him.

Hilea moved to sit in the Queens chair beside the King's throne chair.

King Ubetar said with loving compassion, "My beautiful girls, it is with sadness I make this ruling but it was not offered with the appropriate intent and would be unfair to recognize it as such. Maybe what Emperor McMurdy is offering you will assuage your disappointment."

"As you are aware he has given permission for you to accompany him when he leaves Lideaux. Are you still interested in making the trip after experiencing the engagement mistake?"

The girls clasped hands, looking into each other's faces, eyes starting to twinkle as smiles spread wide, dreams afresh, their interest rekindled, hurt a fading memory.

Rilea answered, "Father, King Ubetar, Bilea and I are still very interested and accept this offer."
