Ellie managed to dip beneath Bri's attack - a slash of searing-hot, shining metal that sprung from her fingers. Bri hadn't summoned silver before, but it seemed prudent given the circumstances.

Ellie dipped, and the other two people -

werewolves

- moved like lightning, shifting and hiding immediately behind any furniture; Bri swirled, and saw Ellie with her hands up, showing deference.

'Wait -

wait

-' Ellie said again. 'Please, we're - we're friends-'

'Bri,' Jamie said, stepping forwards. Bri was looking around the room, her heart pumping, adrenaline rushing through her whole body, eyes flitting between the three strangers. 'Violence doesn't help.'

'Told you she wouldn't help,' the male intruder said, low to the ground behind the coffee table; it wasn't really

hiding

him, but it was clear he could flip it to deflect an attack if needed, and at least gave him some cover. The combat training Catherine had taken her through told Bri that he was smart, and prepared, but not

attacking

.

So, she paused, focusing her attention to a different sect of magic. 'I'm going to read your minds,' Bri said. 'You can fight it, but please don't - if you're legit.'

They didn't respond, but Bri wasn't waiting for permission. She threw magic into her own mind, and let it expand into the room in a wash, soaking everyone.

She could feel Jamie, his familiarity tinged with caution and a general wish to

do no harm

- how sweet. She could also feel the three werewolves, strangers - or, in Ellie's case, an acquaintance-of-Jamie's - their minds reeling, scared and alert, and yet not

violent

.

They didn't want to fight.

Huh.

So, she dove deeper. She focused on the guy, the fact that he was slightly older telling her that he was

probably

the source of all of this.

He didn't resist, and as she delved into his mind, she was immediately met with information. His name was Vincent, he was thirty eight, and he'd been a werewolf for only a few months now - which was surprising. What surprised Bri even more was the vision she saw inside his head, as she focused on the source of his condition: he had been turned by the woman he loved, Paige.

Bri saw in his gut a

deep

guilt, however, for something else - something that was connected to Paige.

So Bri switched; she pulled out of Vince's head, and pushed into Paige's. It took less than seconds, but Bri saw it - the violence that was acted upon her, and the beast she contains within her now. She saw that Paige had been a werewolf for

years

, successfully staying contained with the help of Vince. Together they travelled, trying to find a cure, trying to be

safe

.

Bri saw Paige hearing of a rumour - a cave that held the secret of a cure to lycanthropy. It was a dangerous challenge to undertake, but they felt that they had no choice. They located the cave, deep in the woods, but once inside-

Paige's mind slipped to the next image - a trap, tentacle arms wrapping around them, snaking around limbs and holding them in place, together. She saw Paige and Vince, in the mouth of the cave, as the full moon rose. Paige transformed, furious and scared, and she bit into Vince's shoulder.

All of this information came with the shame and sadness Paige felt for her actions, the emotion and the memories locked together.

Then, Bri was shown something that caused a wave of Paige's guilt to flush through her.

Bri watched Vince and Paige transform, under the light of the full moon. She could

feel

the pack instincts - this push to create

more

of them. She watched them mate - animalistic rutting in the dark, a mix of beastly growls and human moans. And then she watched them hunt.

In one night, after transforming under the moon, the two werewolves raced out into the dark. They tracked Paige's sister - Ellie - to Mirbeck, and with relative ease were able to convert her with little more than a bite.

Bri pulled away, dragging her mind out of Paige and Vince at the same time. They groaned, holding their heads as the invasion subsided, but it was worth it. Bri softened in a moment, dispelling the magic that still crackled around her.

She believed them.

'Thank you,' Bri said, after a moment. 'For letting me see. I'm sorry for the reaction I had.'

Ellie pulled a face that Jamie recognised simply as discomfort. 'You don't like werewolves. Who does?'

'I've never met a werewolf before,' Bri corrected. 'I shouldn't have jumped to... I'm sorry. In fairness, you

did

break into my home.'

Vince, standing up, nodded. 'I told her that was a bad idea, but... we are desperate.'

'What do you mean?' Bri asked.

Paige stepped forwards, putting herself between Bri and her husband and sister. 'For years, Vince kept me safe. Or, kept others safe

from

me. But after we were trapped, and I turned him... last month, we came here and turned my baby sister. Making us a pack of three. Next month, who knows? My parents?

His

siblings? The instinct is undeniable, and I won't accept this. We need to get into that cave, and get the cure.'

'Cave?' Jamie asked. 'The one you got stuck in?'

Bri looked at him. 'You saw that?'

'I saw what you saw,' he shrugged. 'We're linked.'

'Sure,' she said, shaking that off. 'So - the cave. You know where it is?'

Paige nodded. 'We can take you there - but we need the Witch of Mirbeck to help us. We ask you, as the protector of this town, to save it.'

Bri steeled a little. 'From what?'

'From us.'

~o~O~o~

'So, how did you know to come here?' Jamie asked Ellie as they stood together by the kitchen top, kettle heating up as they prepared some caffeinated drinks for everyone. It was still mid-morning, as frankly Jamie could tell that Bri was a little stunned by this whole affair. For his part, Jamie had kind of started to get used to unexpected, impossible things just sort of

happening

, while Bri still seemed attached to figuring out the logic behind them. It was probably what made her a good Witch, and him a good Familiar.

'The land told us,' Ellie shrugged, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. She saw the blank look on Jamie's face, though, and kindly explained a little. 'So, magic-effected beasts and monsters, like werewolves, we have a sort of

instinct

about certain things, you know? Like, Vince and Paige got the pact instinct going, came and turned me. Well, magic has a sort of...

pull

to it. We don't do your typical magic, but in our own way I guess you could call it a spell - we looked for help, and the land led us to a glade out near the town walls. There, we felt magic, and picked up your scent, so we followed it. To you guys.'

'That is... incredible,' Jamie said, unsure if that was the right word to use.

'It

is

,' Ellie smiled as the kettle boiled. She started to pour out a few coffees and teas, before looking over at Bri, Paige and Vince, who were together in the main sitting area, being all serious. 'Do you think they're planning stuff?'

'I assume so,' Jamie said.

'Like, a plan to get a

cure

- do you think that's even possible?'

'I honestly have no idea,' Jamie said.

After a beat of quiet, Ellie looked at him. 'You know, there's no reason our

fling

had to be a one-time thing, you know?'

Jamie was a little surprised by this. 'Oh?'

She shrugged. 'I'm just saying.' Then, she grabbed a mug in each hand. 'Those two are yours and Bri's,' she said, before taking over the two she had and handing them to Vince and Paige.

'Thank you,' Paige said, taking the mug of coffee from her younger sister. 'But, we're not staying.'

'What?' Ellie asked, looking crestfallen immediately. 'It's over? Just like that?'

'Not at all,' Bri said, standing as well. Jamie handed her a tea, and she sipped it. 'As the Witch of Mirbeck, it's my job to help you. But, first, I need to call in a few favours; I think Paige and Vince here proved that this isn't the kind of thing we should just

race

into. We need to prep.'

Paige nodded. Jamie could see the resemblance between her and Ellie when Ellie's smile had faded - Paige was more serious, and the expressions on their faces were so different that it hid how similar they looked. Paige's hair was long, opposing Ellie's shorter hair, but aside from that they shared the same plump lips, fox-like eyes, and sharp cheekbones.

'So, what's the plan?' Ellie asked, her smile picking back up.

'Tomorrow,' Paige answered. 'We meet up at the edge of town, the Southern Gate, and we lead them to the cave.'

'The cave where you turned him?!' Jamie asked.

Paige nodded. 'The very same.'

'At least we know what the first challenge is,' Bri said. 'We will help you. See you tomorrow.'

Paige and Vince nodded, and a round of thanks and goodbyes were uttered - including a slightly elongated hug between Ellie and Jamie that Bri noticed.

Then, the door shut behind them, and Jamie and Bri took a moment to regard each other.

'So,' Jamie said. 'Werewolves are real.'

~o~O~o~

Outside the tower, the air was cool and the wind was harsh. It didn't take a Witch to see that a storm was coming in. Bri's knock had gone unanswered, and she shared a slightly worried expression with Jamie.

'Can you look inside?' Jamie asked. 'You know, with magic?'

Bri frowned. 'Nah - Catherine has so many wards and runes on this place, it's insane. Probably the safest place in Mirbeck.'

'Wow.'

'Yeah - when she leaves, I'm gonna ask if I can have it.'

'Leaves? She's leaving?'

Bri shrugged. 'I guess. Eventually. Not yet - I mean, we need her to stay for

this

at least, so, yeah, not yet. From what Paige told me about the cave, we're going to need her and Tristan for this.'

There was a pause, and then Bri knocked again - heavily.

THUNK THUNK THUNK

. Still nothing.

'Fuck this,' Bri said, trying the handle - the door clicked open and Jamie pulled a face. 'What?'

'You just... opened it.'

'Yeah - this is a safe place, it only lets your friends in. We count, Jamie. It's not locked for us.'

'So why have we been waiting outside?'

'Because I didn't want to be

rude

, man.' She walked in, and they found the tower quiet - but not

silent

.

Somewhere, in another room, there was a struggle going on. The sounds of impacts - clatters and bangs, and the occasional muted grunt made its way through to them, and before Bri or Jamie took the time to really

think

about what they were about to uncover, they leapt into action - headfirst.

Bri quickly identified that the source of the noise was the next level up in the tower, which to the outside world looked like a dilapidated and broken tower turret, but from within she knew to be a luscious living space that Catherine retreated to after working long training sessions with Bri. She'd called it her

sanctum sanctorum

- the home of her magic, and her most private area. Bri hasn't even been inside before, only getting glimpses through the doorway once or twice.

They raced to the ladder that went up to the next level, where they saw the doorway to the sanctum - an ornate, magically-protected wooden doorway with a small circular stained-glass window at around face level. Through it, Bri and Jamie saw movement, and heard more crashes, and their fears were simply accelerated - after all, monsters had broken into

their

home, could more have gotten in here? They'd made enemies of devils after all, and from what Ellie, Paige, and Vince had said, it wasn't

too

hard to track them by scent alone.

Adrenaline surged.

Bri's eyes flashed white, and she summoned magic - Jamie felt it connect to him, pulling on the reserves that he held inside himself as her familiar. The strong sexual pleasure that came to the surface with their magic surged through them, and while they managed to suppress moans, Jamie felt himself harden

immediately

, and Bri grew wet as she pulled apart the warding spell on the door.

Once the magic was removed, they were able to bust the doors open, magic coursing through them, readied properly to fight, protect, defeat-

'

Fuck - FUCK ME

- harder, that's it-

yes, right th-right THERE! TRISTAN! Fuck - that's new - what- where did you- oh, FUCK!

'

In Catherine's sanctum sanctorum, there was a large four-poster bed, surrounded by bookshelf-lined walls, desks that seemed fitted for alchemy, reading and writing, investigation of strange artefacts and items. It would have been a pretty normal room that was a clear home for a practising Witch. The only thing that was surprising to Bri and Jamie, then, were the two people

in

this room, and their current state.

Not only were Tristan and Catherine in the middle of what was

clearly

a long-running sex session, but they were also clearly under the effect of multiple spells and/or charms that had made everything a little more... exotic.

For one thing, there were two Catherines - one, the clearly real version, and the second a shimmering glassy manifestation of pure magic - one that Bri knew would be echoing their sensations into the

true

Catherine, who was therefore feeling

both

of their pleasures. And they were both in

deep

pleasure.

While the spectral copy couldn't speak - or moan, for that matter - it

was

able to perform its current duties pretty well, which was to be arse-up, face-down in the bed as Tristan fucked her from behind. The copy-Catherine's face wasn't just in the bedsheets, however - she was eagerly,

hungrily

devouring the pussy of the true Catherine, who was leaning against the headboard, eyes glassy and unfocused as she clearly rocketed towards a mind-melting orgasm.

Tristan was under the effect of something, too, but it was only visible on his back-stroke; his cocks - and there were two of them - were thick, purple-coloured phalluses that were descriptively non-human. They had ridges and a flat, flare tip that popped out of the copy-Catherine's two holes, which gaped open for a moment before he pushed back in, easily sliding nine or so inches of inhuman cock into the shimmering copy. Catherine - the real one - moaned and swore at the feeling, and Bri and Jamie watched in rapt shock as she came explosively.

Hard enough to break her own concentration, and the copy-Catherine shimmered away, fading into nothing as Catherine seemed to black out. Tristan sat back, his two cocks bouncing against his thigh, hard and unsatisfied.

Only then did Bri realise how much of an invasion her and Jamie had accidentally enacted, and she grabbed his arm, quickly muttering a spell. In a moment, the two of them, similar to the copy-Catherine, vanished from sight.

Tristan looked in their direction, but Bri was confident they hadn't been noticed; her magic was fuelled by sex, and the air was so

thick

with it, and her and Jamie were both so fucking

horny

from what they'd walked in on, that she was feeling powerful. Tristan, apparently fooled, simply waved his hand, which shut the door behind Bri and Jamie, and then leaned forwards. He gripped Catherine by the ankles, pulling her form towards him, and flipped her onto her face.

'

Whuu-

' she murmured, coming back to the land of the conscious.

Tristan didn't seem to wait for permission - he simply lined himself up with the

real

Catherine's wet holes, and pushed both of his impossible cocks deep into her, stuffing her full easily. She screamed in pleasure, and Bri and Jamie watched voyeuristically as the two witches got back to fucking each other. Hard and fast, clearly with a lot of trust and mutually-agreed boundaries, and with a simple goal that was plain to see - give themselves, and each other, as much pleasure as they physically could.

Bri and Jamie were invisible to the rest of the world, but because they were under the

same

spell, they were visible to each other - and Bri could see in Jamie's trousers a pitched lump, his hardness betraying his arousal.

'They can't see us,' she said. 'Or hear us.'

'Thank the gods,' Jamie breathed. 'This is...

really

invasive of us.'

Bri nodded, both of them still watching the magically-enhanced fucking going on before them.

Tristan fucked Catherine from behind, her body flat on the bedding; each thrust

clapped

Tristan's pelvis into her pert cheeks, and Bri realised that she'd never really thought of Catherine in a sexual way. Sure, during the fight with the demons, they had

all

seen more of each other than maybe they'd wanted to, but this was a different situation. Catherine was so deep in her haze of sex that she hadn't even noticed Bri and Jamie wandering into the room.

'

Fuck-fuck-fuUCK

-' Tristan growled as he pummelled her raised backside, his cheeks going red and his rhythm shaking a little.

'

Inside

-' Catherine panted, her voice filled with need. '

Inside me, Tristan

-'

'Oh, shit, oh SHIT!' Tristan yelled,

slamming

himself deep into her, leaning forwards and groaning over Catherine's shoulder as he emptied both of his cocks inside her. Jamie and Bri watched him flood her holes, moaning and giggling and grinding a little more.

Then, they caught eyes with each other.

'We should go back outside, and then come in so they hear us,' Bri said. Jamie nodded, and they turned to the shut door. 'Oh. Fuck.'

'We know you're there,' Catherine said, lifting her head up and looking in their direction.

Bri and Jamie froze, and then turned back to the bed. Tristan waved some magic in the air, his cocks returning to their normal, human size and shape. Catherine sat up, her face and chest flushed, her breasts full and nipples erect. Jamie blushed.

'Sorry,' said as she dropped the invisibility. 'We didn't know you were-'

'You didn't stop,' Jamie said, head cocked a little.

Tristan shrugged.

'You walked in on

us

- why would we stop anything? Besides, it isn't like you haven't seen it all before.'

There was a moment of quiet, before Bri gave her deadpanned response, pointing at Tristan.

'I've never seen his cock before.'

Catherine burst out into laughter and threw a blanket over Tristan, before waving her hand; clothes shimmered over her out of nowhere, instantly dressing her in a long emerald green dress.

'Bri, what's brought you here?' she asked, walking past her and leading the two invaders towards the exit to head downstairs.

Bri shrugged. 'Werewolves. A cure thereof. That dress is just an illusion, right? You're still naked?'

'I don't know what you mean,' Catherine said, cool as a cucumber.

Bri slapped her butt, and there was the audible

smack

of skin-on-skin contact. Catherine gawked at her, face blushed a little, before continuing on like nothing had happened. 'Get. Downstairs. Now.'

'Yes ma'am,' Bri said, following her down and beginning her story. 'So, this morning, we woke up...'

~o~O~o~

The plan was set with Catherine and Tristan; first thing in the morning, they would meet at a clearing on the edge of town with the werewolves Paige, Vince and Ellie. From there, they would re-discover the cave in which Paige and Vince had gotten trapped in a tentacle-trap, which led to her turning him a few months ago.

Three witches, three werewolves and a demon-infused familiar. Together they would venture into the cave, overcome its challenges, descend into the depths and discover the cure for lycanthropy.
