I greatly appreciate all the feedback and am very happy to provide another chapter. One of the greatest challenges is providing the right balance of story and erotica, I hope I'm finding it.
I'm also trying to be consistent with the story and characters and also try to show, not tell you things where possible. Anyway, hope you enjoy the new chapter.
Chapter 7 - All the King's Horses
Sunday afternoon had been spent busily prepping the spare room for Victor and Anna's arrival the following morning.
Although he had a plan to minimise any pain Victor or Anna experienced in the initial repair phase, Sam had no idea how long it would take, especially for Victor's broken spine to be fixed. His gut told him probably six to twelve hours, and Jasmine's best estimates concurred with that. However, that partly depended on how badly damaged it was. Only once the nanites had performed their diagnostics, would they have any degree of certainty on that.
Sam wanted to make sure Victor could keep his mind busy. So, while the nerve blocks and temporary paralysis were in place, he'd instructed the nanites to initially keep Victor flat on his back. On the plus side, at least they wouldn't have to worry about getting him hooked up to things like a catheter, as that had been a normal part of Victor's life ever since the accident.
There were also things like major muscle wastage that they would need to deal with, before Victor attempted to stand for the first time in about six years.
Rebecca and Victoria had ensured that they had significant stocks of the right kinds of food in the house. If nothing else, Anna was going to require dozens of extra meals to give the nanites the fuel they needed to grow back her partly missing leg and uterus.
Rebecca had also briefed Connie on the whole subject. Connie had asked to read their medical notes, and had quietly wept as she read the list of injuries and problems they both suffered with, as well as the psychological side effects of their experiences.
"Can the nanites really fix all this?" she asked Sam quietly when she had finished reading.
"I'm ninety-nine percent sure they can, Kitten, but there is always the chance they might not be able to. I've yet to find anything that they haven't been able to fix, but everyone they've gone into so far has been mostly fairly healthy. The only serious problem was Victoria's cancer."
"Victoria had cancer?" Connie gasped.
"Yes, early-stage thyroid cancer, she didn't even know she had it. That, and her polycystic ovaries, were the most serious things that the nanites have fixed so far."
"She had cancer and couldn't have children?" Connie whispered, tears welling again.
"Shush, Kitten." Sam said softly as he gave her a gentle hug. "She's in perfect health now."
"No wonder she's so excited to be pregnant." Connie whispered, realisation dawning. "Rebecca too."
Then, with a shy smile "Every new thing I find out, makes me realise how lucky I am that you found me."
"What about my luck at finding you?" Sam chided slightly. "I still find my new life somewhat surreal. How did I go from living alone, to having three, utterly gorgeous, lovely women who want to be mine?" he said smiling.
"Not forgetting of course that one of those beauties wants to be my breeding slave, kept barefoot and constantly pregnant for decades." he added, letting desire blossom in his voice as he scooped her up in his arms.
Connie couldn't help but start giggling as she kissed him deeply. "Why wouldn't I want to be your breeding slave?" The lust creeping into her voice.
"Soon I promise, Kitten. Soon." He said softly as he put her down and released his arms from around her.
With four of them in the same bed on Sunday night, Sam commented to Rebecca that they would defintely need a special super-sized bed for the master suite in the new house.
"Of course Sam, I was thinking of one big enough for ten." she added, laughing at the expression on his face.
"Such an easy Master to tease." she whispered as she kissed him.
Everything was ready on Monday morning, when Paul arrived with Victor and Anna in his minibus.
"Morning mate, special delivery for repair and overhaul." Paul laughed as he wheeled Victor through the door.
Victor laughed, "Don't worry, we'll get you back for that, you piss-taking bastard."
"You're more than welcome to try, you grumpy old git." Paul smirked.
"So, Victor, are you ready to see the back of this contraption?" Sam asked with a smile, gesturing at the wheelchair.
"Still doesn't seem possible, but yeah, I guess." Victor replied, a bit grumpily.
"OK, Sam," Rebecca said with a smile. "Why don't you get Victor and Anna into the living room, and take them through exactly what's going to happen, while I borrow Paul here for a few minutes as there's something I want to talk to him about."
Sam cocked his head to one side. "What are you up to, Princess?"
"Helping to make another old man potentially very happy?" she winked at him.
"This way please, Paul." she said with a smile and a laugh as she escorted Paul towards the kitchen.
"At least I know it's not only me that gets that kind of treatment." Victor laughed, as Sam wheeled him into the living room, the comment earning him a light-hearted punch on the shoulder from Anna.
"Ow," he said laughing. "beating up and old defenceless cripple now."
"Shut up, you old fool." Anna said with a twinkle in her eye.
Sam was very glad to see the mood was lighter than last time.
Once they were settled in the living room with a drink, Sam started.
"I'm glad you've decided to let me help you. However, I'm sure what you really want to know is how the hell I'm going to fix you both?" he said with a smile.
"You could say that." Victor replied slightly grumpily.
"Sorry about him, Sam. He's been on edge ever since you made your offer and he hates not knowing things." Anna added with a smile.
"I can sympathise with that; nothing drives me more nuts than unanswered questions." Sam replied ruefully.
"Anyway, so given that you know I can do stuff nobody else can, let's get into the how. Are either of you into Science Fiction?"
"A little." Victor replied.
