You decided to go to the girl's house. You managed to get pretty far before realising that you had no idea where she lived. You returned to Maurice and he was very confused that you did not know anything about the map app and how to look up addresses. You marvelled down at the little black monolith in your hand.
`Incredible... This map moves and expands and has as much or as little detail as I want it to have. Looking up landmarks and addresses is as simple as typing them into this little box. If I had this device for my conquests back home I'd be even more of a terror.` You were finally where you needed to be so you stopped admiring the technology and stuffed the phone back into your pocket.
Finally looking up, you realised that you should have looked at a topographical map, rather than an area map. You thought that it would be fairly straightforward, but the home was at the top of a long set of stairs at the top of a steep hill. The whole area was surrounded by woods.
"Well... Time to get started." You climbed the long stone stairwell optimistically. As you got halfway up and found yourself sweating you lamented:
`So this is what it's like having limited stamina... This body seriously sucks...` You pulled yourself forward, slowing about two-thirds of the way up. Finally you arrived at the top panting and holding your chest.
`Ever heard of exercise, Finn!?`
`Did you ever exercise?` Fin asked.
`I mean... No?`
`Exactly. Gnolls are just overpowered. You trained but did you ever try to be strong?`
`Look I-` You stopped.
`Wait, what are you doing calling me? Did something happen?`
`Yes... Do you not feel yourself slamming head first into wards?` Fin uttered in disbelief.
"Uhm." You looked back and noticed a few scorch marks on trees leading up to the temple.
"Hey, doesn't this mean there's magic, here?"
`Not sure. It seems more like they are just trying to keep things at bay.`
You snorted, glancing around the grounds at the top of the stairs. You stood before a giant red arch; through that you saw a decently-sized temple complex with some well-maintained gardens and polished stones..
`How am I breaking through? Aren't I super weak?`
`There may be a subtle difference between the strength of this body and the strength of our spirits.`
"I don't get it..." You scratched your head.
`It's just a guess. Should we find out more? I'll leave you to it and focus on looking after things in the background.`
You nodded and stepped forward casually. As you walked through the arch you actually felt a distinct force pushing you back this time. It was like you, not your physical self but you, Djir, were being pushed away from the body. You felt a very faint and unusual disconnect for the first time since you arrived on Earth where the feeling of, and connection to Finn's body began to fade and disappear, starting in the fingers and toes, working its way up.
"Not... good." You grunted. Your spirit inhaled and steeled itself, but it was not enough. Then you felt Fin's slender arms behind you, propping your own soul up as well. With the added help you took another step forward and immediately all of the resistance stopped. You regained control, huffing a bit.
"First my body gets my workout, now my spirit?" You shrugged and walked towards the main temple complex. After taking a few more steps forward you stopped in your tracks. Looking to your left, then your right you noticed you were flanked by girls. One of them was Asuka dressed in a strange garb that seemed a bit Aoian in design. When you returned your gaze forward you saw a tall older woman with long, smooth black hair and pale skin. Her brows were like thick ovals on her forehead and her eyes were focused on you.
"A-aunt... Is this real?" The girl that was not Asuka to your left asked. She had red hair as well and looked just a bit more mature.
The woman before you nodded to the girl. "Of course..."
Asuka gritted her teeth. "I didn't believe it either until I saw it. Careful, Aunt. Those talisman's don't work."
"You were simply using them in an unpractised manner, Asuka. You should have come to me as soon as you saw the signs." The woman closed her eyes for a moment. In the blink of an eye she flicked both of her wrists. The yellow sheets of paper with symbols on them appeared, three in each hand. They were between her fingers.
"Hey, can you stop?" You asked nervously.
"Get out!" The woman yelled, taking a step forward. She launched the first three in her right hand, then the last three followed from her left. For paper, they flew surprisingly well. You got a bad feeling from them and actually took a nervous step back as they sailed right for you. You were far too slow to dodge so the talismans clung to you and seemed to have the same effect as the arch, but only for a moment because the moment they touched you they began to burn up until all of them were gone. You opened your eyes and lifted your head, looking around.
"Oh, I'm fine..."
The woman made an annoyed sound. "There may be no way to help the host without hurting him..." She explained gravely, looking to Asuka mostly.
"But Finn-" She complained before being quickly interrupted.
"We can't worry about that at this point, Asuka."
"Listen, I dunno what's going on but-" You took a step forward. All of the women bounced back a few more steps. Only the dark-haired woman began to act immediately. She made symbols and signs with her hands and spoke in a strange, unfamiliar tongue.
`This body only knows english...` You lamented, watching her. After a few moments your annoyance finally boiled over. You grinned and let out a little chuckle.
"Listen up... I'm not planning to play the villain here, but none of your shit works on me, ladies! If you really wanna fight I doubt it'll go well for you~" You tilted your chin up cockily. So far nothing has stuck so you felt pretty confident that it would continue along the same lines.
"Showing your true colours, Demon? Good... It makes it easier to teach my girls that her is no reasoning with you all." She released her hands and expanded them, forming a trio of red whisps between them. Your eyes widened, assuming that you found magic on your own somehow.
"Holy shit! Magic!" You watched them get sent towards you, changing shape as they moved. You smirked, standing strong.
`Djir! You have to get away!` Fin chimed in suddenly.
You shrugged without taking your eyes off the changing whisps. "Why? None of this stuff works on us anyway."
`This feels different. The objective's changed for them.` He warned.
"What's that supposed to m-" Before they reached you the wisps changed shape into a trio of small red foxes with red eyes glowing like fire and sharp teeth. Their bodies were formed of the roiling energy that the wisps were made of, but their colour and shape was becoming rather distinct as they continued to close the distance.
"Eh? Fox...?" You looked down, feeling one bite down painfully on your leg. The other two sealed their jaws around your wrists.
"Ow!" You yelped.
"Now!" The woman shouted.
"What now? More fucking magic?" You uttered.
"Nope!" Asuka shouted next to your ear. You turned, feeling a fist ramming into your side before you saw her. Then you felt another on your other side. All the air left your lungs as another fist slammed into your gut.
"N-not fair..." You rasped, losing consciousness.
You opened your eyes slowly to the inside of a wooden room. Over your head you noticed the statue of a creature. It was an animal but the ears and tail reminded you Fin, which is how you concluded that it was a fox. It was more like a guess, but you felt like you were close. As you tried to move you fell forward onto your face.
"Ow!" You shouted, your voice echoing. Your hands were tied behind your back and your feet were tied to your hands behind your back. Slowly you began to blush at the knot pattern, noticing ropes tied in a specific way around your pecs and your groin. It was then, as you were struggling on the ground on your belly, like a worm, that you realised one other important factor.
"Why the hell am I naked!?"
"That's actually a very good question." Asuke mumbled, coming into view. She reached down, pawing at you blindly, since she was shielding her eyes. She pulled you back up onto your knees.
"Aunt?" You finally rested your gaze on the pale woman, only this time she was seated in front, a few feet away. You wanted to know as well. The knots were far too tight. You basically could not budge even an inch in any direction. You were wrapped, as if in a web. The tying was done so precisely that the woman must have been an expert.
`There has to be some reason.` You thought.
"Well..." The woman smiled, cheeks flushing lightly as she looked at you. The woman licked over her plush lips.
You gasped. "You're just a perv!"
Asuka stepped back. "N-no way! Right?" She looked to the woman she called Aunt.
